“What a lovely place, absolutely fab! Found this place on Google after looking for places that serve mussels, as my partner and I have recently started enjoying them. I'm glad we came here. So much choice of mussels and their main menu also has a good selection. We will definitely come again, hopefully on a Monday or Thursday when they have their mussels nights!”

“We recently had our wedding ceremony, meal, and evening reception at the Swan on the 27th July. We cannot say anything but good things about the Swan. Anne Herring was an amazing wedding planner, she made us feel so special throughout. The service from start to finish was exceptional. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was! If you are looking for somewhere to host your wedding, please visit The Swan, you won't be disappointed. We would like to say thank you so much to Anne and all at the Swan for a perfect day/night. Phil & Alex x”

“Went for a lunchtime meal and had a pleasant time. The service was brilliant and also checked to ensure that all was okay. Had steak and ale pie with vegetables and new potatoes which was lovely as usual only option is chips or fries, was so nice to have vegetables! Then dessert was a brandy Alexander panna cotta..never heard of but was light and perfect to end the meal. Sadly no brandy could be tasted but was lovely just the same. Pub was quiet when we entered at 12.30pm but became quite busy by 2pm. Advice book in advance or attend early.”

“Popped in for lunch after staying at Canon Hall Cottage for the weekend. Had three courses for £16, white bait starter, liver and bacon main, and Jaffa cake sponge for puds. The lady that served us was lovely, and the pub itself is beautiful. There's a surprisingly large outdoor space. Would come back if in the area :)”

Old Dairy Cafe, Goodnestone Park
The St, Goodnestone, Canterbury CT3 1PL, UK

“This afternoon my friends and I visited the old Dairy Cafe ,tucked away in the village of Goodnestone... and what an absolutely wonderful place this cafe is... First , a word of warning....I live just 8 miles away from this village ,but I still managed to "get lost"...but , once we all finally arrived at the Old Dairy ,we realised we had stumbled upon a true Gem.. The setting is beautiful, even on a cold winter's day...and we have promised ourselves to return again in the Spring and Summer .. The venue is quite delightful , we loved the bone china teacups on display....and those being used.. We decided to puck from the "light lunch " menu... I had cheddar cheese and ham sourdough toastie... reliably informed that the sourdough is called Kirsty and is from a 28 year old batch . The serving was extremely generous, absolutely delicious 😋.. My friends settled with the Ploughman's lunch "with a little bit of everything".. I loved that our tea was served in proper tea pots with little china cups and saucers..... We then decided to complete our visit by experiencing the desert menu...after a lot of thought ,we three all chose the coffee and walnut cake 🍰...I'm not sure how, but we all managed to eat every last crumb of the most delicious cake. Let's just say I definitely won't need any tea tonight. We will definitely visit the old Dairy again , a hidden delight .... wonderful food , and super staff ..”
