Enjoyed a lovely hot drink and homemade brownie. The pub was buzzing and you can just tell its a hit with the locals as well as being a firm favourite "hidden gem". Loved the Christmas decorations outside too! Saw lots of regular events advertised so we're sure to come back!

Stayed in a nearby camping site and was recommended, they did not disappoint. Welcoming staff, very accommodating, garden is beautiful and the food was immense. King Prawns = Taste Explosion 💥 Thank you so much for a wonderful experience 🙌

My husband & I stayed at the lovely Duke of William for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. The staff, Adam in particular can't help enough and even went to the shops and got a bag of sweets for a friend as I was at a wedding most of the time so he did that for me. Amazing staff, lovely room, fabulous b/fast. The bar and restaurant was always full, incredibly welcoming for dogs and children as well.

Such a lovely cosy aesthetic place, friendly service, and the most amazing finessed menu and food. Cannot fault this place it is the perfect pub restaurant. Dog friendly

Our friends took us to this charming village pub on our first night of our long weekend in Kent. We see why they have raved about this place since it was taken over and remodelled. The food was your typical British pub dished, but elevated to the next level As this time of year, if we see pigs in blankets, we order some. I highly recommend you do, some of the best we have had ever. Other dishes we tried include, chefs pie of the day, beef and onion, just yummm, and the rabbit with gnocchi. The service was some of the best for a pic, pleasant, professional and very efficient. The pub its self is stunning with two open fires inside massive barrels, chandeliers made out of vine bottle. Highly recommend a stop here if you are in the area and book if you wish to eat.

A few weeks ago we all had a lovely meal at the Kings Arms, food absolutely delicious and beautifully presented and service fast and efficient. There's also a great children's menu for the little ones. The atmosphere is warm and ambient and the pub is also great for just relaxing over a beer or a glass of wine. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. This has become our favourite local pub so we will definitely be back to taste more of their gorgeous food.

Popped in after a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Comprehensive menu, very tasty food and attentive service. Good atmosphere. Off to try the other two pubs in the group.

I had lunch today at the restaurant but did not stay at the hotel.The grounds are incredible.Beautiful scenery. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. I was by myself.They made me feel comfortable aswell as explaining the menu and having a nice chat, the customer service was 10/10. The food was great one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. The staff also helped me get a taxi later on. Would definitely recommend and definitely be back.

We went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and had such a nice night. All the staff were so relaxed and welcoming - especially Maggie who served us at dinner. She made the atmosphere so enjoyable by being herself while delivering great service.

It’s hard to describe the magic of the Pig hotels if you haven’t been to one. Their rustic charm is unbeatable for celebrating a special occasion or just a relaxing break. The thoughtful and personal touches by the team are really second to none - they always go the extra mile with customer service. We have stayed at Bridge Place twice now (getting engaged there the first time!) and we will continue returning year on year. The breakfasts are so yummy - the artisanal options on the breakfast table are a special touch. Dinner is always great! Their interiors are absolutely divine too. Fantastic wine estate with a lot of grounds and knowledgeable people. Had a masterclass with the assistant wine maker which was a fantastic experience I would recommend to all wine lovers. The quality of wines especially on chardonnay and sparkling is exquisite!!!

Simpsons Estate produces wonderful Sparkling wines and still wines in beautiful Kent. 😊

The food was faultless - the crab starter was beautiful, my partner said the trout starter was the best trout he’d ever had and then the roast beef lunch was sensational. The young lady that served us was also lovely, so friendly and professional - refreshing. Would wholeheartedly recommend and this was my 234th Michelin meal so feel I can say that it was super! The locals must wonder what they did to deserve such a local restaurant. Serves exemplary one star cooking, with creative starters and generous meat sharing mains. Comfortable pub atmosphere.

We had a long lunch at the Dog over the Festive period and as always was impeccable. The drinks before and after were awesome but the food is always the star with wonderful service. A must for foodies!

A truly delightful experience. Staff were all so pleasant and professional that it would be unfair to single any one out for special praise. Food and drink both to a very high standard. Room very well equipped and tastefully decorated. Great location for exploring the surrounding area. Overall a very enjoyable stay and a place I am very happy to recommend.

My first visit to The Dog at Wingham l will be going back. I visited with five friends for an evening meal we were seated at a circular table which makes conversation easier. The menu was extensive with something for everyone when the food arrived it exceeded the menu discretion. The staff were friendly and helpful and helped to make it an enjoyable evening.

First time visiting The Black Robin. Lovely welcome and vibe. Excellent service and food was delicious. Sam was incredible keeping a busy bar well tended plus dining tables . Have booked our return for Christmas lunch! Sea bass was delicious and I understand the fish pie plus fish and chips were tasty too.

Lovely evening meal at The Black Robin. Great menu with specials board. Food was all top quality and we'll presented. Young staff were excellent and are a credit to this place. We booked a week in advance and every table was reserved in the restaurant area. They also have a lovely garden out the back and a car park to the side.

Always amazing food with a great atmosphere. Plenty of parking, outside seating and all dog friendly. Fair price for the quality of food you're getting. 100% recommend this place. Burgers, pizzas, pies and roasts in particular are all great!

We celebrated a birthday dinner here and it was such a lovely experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only issue we had was trying to find a parking space close by! So I’d recommend sharing cars if possible. We had the duck, burger, fish & chips and the lamb. All the dishes were full of flavour and were great portion sizes. The building itself is steeped in history that is really interesting.

I have been visiting The Cook’s Tale for at least eight years now and I always have a wonderful experience. The food is simply delicious! It's fine dining quality at a mid-range price. If you are able to take advantage of one of their monthly deals, it's insanely good value for money. The service has always been very attentive. As a vegetarian I love the quantity and variety of vegetarian dishes - it's clear they aren't some afterthought. Something else that I really appreciate about The Cook’s Tale is that unlike many other restaurants in a similar price range they don't automatically add gratuity to the bill, it's left to you to decide how much you want to tip. If you are considering visiting The Cook’s Tale, stop thinking and go now! You won't regret it.

My husband and I booked for the Indian high tea. It was on an offer and we love high tea, so we figured we would try it. It was all so amazing. There was a tone of variety of both sweet and savoury and the masala chai tea we got was very nice. The service was quick and attentive. Such a fun and unique twist- our favourite was the spiced chocolate cake and the potato sandwich. We cleaned our plates!

We had a wonderful lunch at The Cook's Tale Restaurant in Canterbury! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by Asher, our host, who was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure our dietary requirements were carefully addressed and guided us through the options. We opted for the Meat and Vegetarian Thali, and both were absolutely delicious — full of vibrant flavors and beautifully presented. What truly stood out was the exceptional service. During our meal, Chef Alfie came over to check on us, asking if we were enjoying our food and if we had any feedback. It was a lovely personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. The restaurant itself had a cosy, festive atmosphere, with Christmas decorations adding a warm touch to the environment. Overall, a fantastic dining experience, with excellent food, great service, and a welcoming ambience. Highly recommended!

Lovely meal, service and atmosphere. All the food was full of flavor and the service was spectacular. Beyond what we ordered, they served little bites, which were all fantastic. There was a pianist playing as well.

Took the MIL for lunch, lovely roasts, great desserts, (included with the price of the mains). service pleasant and quick, and all at reasonable prices. Allowed our dog in and the pub dog is very friendly too. Good atmosphere, and we will return. Booking essential for Sunday lunch.

We enjoyed an excellent Friday lunch, brilliant food, best haddock in beer batter I have ever eaten (and it is my favourite fish dish). Wife had wonderful fish pie. Service excellent, attentive without being obtrusive and happy to accommodate a request. So good we booked for next week same time,same place!! PS Husband forgot to mention the wonderful REAL CHIPS! not frozen tasteless potato starch. Go to the Haywain just for those!
