I visited recently with a fairly large group at the weekend and thoroughly impressed with all aspects of this place. The food was loved by all. I had the bacon cheeseburger which was delicious. The chips were fantastic. The price was just as lovely too. The place was spotless and very inviting and the staff were all really friendly and welcoming. I'm genuinely looking forward to my next visit.

Went for lunch because of the reviews. Fantastic!!!! Excellent squid to start (we shared). I then had some of the best ribs I have ever had. So well cooked. Huge portion. Wife had excellent loaded pulled pork. Prices were very reasonable, beer was also good price. Great place, nice atmosphere, top service & exceptional food

We ate here last night for a family birthday. Absolutely enjoyed it in every aspect. Lovely atmosphere with good vibes music, twinkling lights and right beside the river. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection, there was a lot of different dishes in our big party and every meal was tasty and very reasonably priced. The waitress was lovely and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, she even brought over a selection of the ice creams and Lolly's for the younger ones to choose from. An absolutely wonderful evening. Will definitely be going back and recommend to my friends.

Absolutely recommend this place. Some of the best home made street food I have sampled in a long time, All staff members couldn’t be more polite and friendly if they tried from the moment we entered the hut to the moment we left they made us feel at home which increased the experience even more

Food was amazing!! Great staff and very friendly. Found this place by accident and gave it a chance. It paid off, because it was one of the most unique food items I’ve ever had (Yorkshire Pudding Wrap - available only on Sundays). Highly recommend!

First time ordering food from Hays Shack and we were not disappointed. Burgers were really tasty and the portions were really generous. Great place to eat. Thank You 👍🏼

What a lovely place! Visiting from up north for a family event. The staff could not have been more welcoming after our 5 hour journey. The room was fantastic. Finished off well. Comfy bed and plenty of space. Even the church bells were not a problem (thanks for the warning at check in!). Breakfast can make or break a hotel stay, but the breakfast and service was as fantastic as everything else. What a gem!! We will be back soon for sure.

Had a wonderful mid week break here, owners made us feel so welcome from the beginning, the staff were attentive and couldn't do enough for you (big shout out to Katherine) especially when asked for an off list cocktail and hand picked mint herself from the garden! The room was gorgeous spotlessly clean with added personal touches you just can't get in chain hotels. The village was beautiful and the locals very friendly, location was perfect nice and quiet but 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Deal seafront would highly recommend and will absolutely visit again fantastic value for money too. Thank you.

We visited the Blue Pigeons in worth for lunch and were very impressed with the total upgrade of the building. We did not visit the rooms but the restaurant and bar were very cosy, and noted a very substantial garden for summer time drinks at the garden bar. We will be returning again to this venue for maybe an overnight stay with dinner.

Stayed here for one night last week (2 adults and 1 child). Very friendly staff. The room was ready for us on arrival, it was clean, spacious and bright and very calming looking over the church across the road. Food was delicious, we had dinner and breakfast here, free parking outside. A really straight forward & pleasant stay, nothing was to much trouble. Also the neighbours cat who likes to pop in was very cute!

Highly recommended, excellent variety of dishes with great flavour and taste.Prices were reasonable. Staff friendly and attentative. Definitely will return.

Food was delicious. Reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and attentive, great sense of humour and very polite. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is due to the fact the restaurant is quite small, so due to it being busy it was difficult to hear my partner sometimes, who was sat opposite me. However, it is a Friday night, so this can be expected. Wasn’t a fan of the decor/lighting. Think the decor could be more authentic and maybe some warm lighting. I would eat here again, and my partner said the same. I have recommended this restaurant to my family :) also, the tiramisu was so good! Was my first time trying it. Thanks to the staff for being in good spirits and being very smiley, always makes the experience so much better!

You can always judge an Italian by their service and their tiramisu - and this restaurant was exceptional for both! Wonderful friendly staff and superb food with big portions - this was an absolute find in Sandwich and we loved spending time in such a traditional Italian family-run venue. We can't wait to come back!

Excellent dinner. Service was professional, attentive and personable. Ambience of the restaurant is great and impressive. The menu offered a good number of choices. The food itself was excellent and tasted better. Children welcomed. Prices are fair. Parking across the road is chargeable during the day but free early evening. Definitely recommended.

We had such a lovely visit to Luigi's! Service was quick and efficient and we enjoyed some banter with the boss! Our food was great, especially the seafood pizza which had far more seafood on it then I have ever had outside Italy. Lovely, welcomeing atmosphere and we sensed good rapport amongst the staff. We would definitely return.

I had evening dinner here then lunch the next day, about a week ago. The restaurant was nice inside. The service was good even though it was busy. The waiters were helpful and recommended a nice wine based on my preferences. The food was good. The prices were fine. The lunchtime menu was cheaper but not quite as great, as expected.

Lovely restaurant and very friendly staff. Came on a Tuesday lunch time when it was super quiet. Waiter was really nice and took time To chat to us. Set menu was fab, would recommend the pesto spaghetti and garlic bread. Will be back for sure!

Best Christmas Meal Ever. Food was delicious over all courses, generous portions all round. Staff are friendly and efficient. There were twelve of us & we were all very happy with our meals. We'll be back.....

My elderly parents-in-laws were staying in Sandwich and visited the New Inn for a drink twice. On both occasions the staff bent over backwards to help them. They are not very mobile and were effectively given 'waitress service' for their drinks and on the second trip were shown the back way out as that avoided having to go down the steps at the front. Excellent service - thank you for looking after them !

Best pub Sunday roast we've ever had. No photos as we couldn't wait to tuck in!Vegetables all fresh and the gravy is awesome. Wait and see if you have room before ordering dessert, but they are worth the calories! Everything is generously preportioned and reasonably priced. Good value for money. The place was buzzing, but the service was still excellent and we didn't have to wait long. Can highly recommend if you're in the area!

Dropped in for a lunch today. The liver and bacon was delicious. Rolled out of there full to the brim. The staff were extremely friendly and very gracious to our little dog. Will definitely call in again if in Sandwich. An asset to the town.

We come here quite a bit for lunch and we've never been disappointed. The service is always great and the food is always piping hot and delicious. We came with our friend The Captain and we had beers and wine...naturally. The Captain ordered from the specials board, he had Tomato soup and Chicken, Prawn and Avocado Salad with new potatoes. He said it was really tasty. I had Filo Prawns with a garlic mayo followed by Fish and Chips. I'd been craving Fish and Chips for ages and I'd had a few and nothing had been hiding the spot but these were perfect. The batter not too greasy, not too crispy and yet not too soggy. Perfect. My husband had smoked Salmon to start followed by Steak and Kidney pudding with Roasties and veg. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals too. Unfortunately we were all too stuffed for a pudding but even the pudding list sounded yummy. Couldn't tell you how much it cost as we were treated but the starters were around £7 each and the mains somewhere between £15-20. Well worth it.

We visited with friends for a midweek lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. All very enjoyable and some lovely choices on the specials board. The lady serving behind the bar at serving at the tables, was very bubbly and friendly. An added bonus was the log fire being alight on a dull wet day, lovely and cosy inside. Not many diners on the day we visited but all four of us enjoyed our visit. We will use again when in the area.

One of the best indian restaurants I've been to! The food was amazing, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere and decor are lovely. Will 100 percent be visiting again. Worth every penny!

First visit recently after hearing raving reviews by friends for the past few months. Absolutely loved it ! The food is so delicious and full of flavours. Its hard to put into words...you just need to book and eat here to understand how good it is. The staff are lovely ! So friendly and happily talk you through the menu. Quick service...quirky little restaurant. Nice touch being able to see right into the kitchen. Booked again for this weekend!

My wife and I decided, very last minute, to enjoy a meal here for our wedding Anniversary...and what great decision it was! The food was incredible, the staff were so very accommodating and friendly and the atmosphere was exactly what you would want from an authentic Indian restaurant. We couldn't decide which wine to have with our meal so the gentleman brought over a taster of a couple of options. Being vegetarian we usually have very limited options but again we were pleasantly surprised with the vast selection and the fantastic flavours from the dishes we chose. We will 100% be returning to Namaste and recommend this establishment to anyone.

We ate here last night and it was amazing! We phoned ahead due to several dietary restrictions and were assured that they could accommodate us. When we arrived we had such a great experience (which you don’t get everywhere with allergies!!) the staff were very knowledgeable about the ingredients and what would be possible. They made something that my son absolutely loved despite several food allergies. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food, it was excellent. The service was fantastic, we highly recommend you try here! First time staying here and it was really nice. Entrance to the hotel had a retro feel to it, loved it. Staff were very friendly and despite a wedding going on didn’t affect the service at all. My room was nice and spacious, my parents who had a balcony also said their room was superb. Service at dinner/breakfast was excellent (so pleased they have spitfire on tap). Will come back.

Came down for the weekend, and on the first night a family member had a nasty fall near the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, provided first aid, called the ambulance, and made sure we were looked after. On getting back to the hotel after a night in A&E, the staff member checked on us and gave us a reduction on our hotel bill (the accident wasn’t on hotel property, it was down to the wobbly Sandwich paving). They seriously couldn’t have been kinder. The room itself was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel seemed well used but it wasn’t noisy. The breakfast was fresh and very appreciated!

We recently stayed at The Bell, as we were celebrating my mother in laws 80th birthday! The moment we arrived we were welcomed with lovely smiles and the our rooms were ready! Waiting for the rest of the family to arrive we went to the bar and again the staff were brilliant. There was 14 of us, including 5 children! We had dinner at the bell that evening and the food and staff were excellent! Breakfast was one of the best I had in uk hotel! The hotel is old and yes in places looks a little tired but this gives the building character and its charm! Thank you for accommodating all Of us! We had a lovely weekend 😀

Got to say this is the best roast I’ve had in years. Meat was soft n juicy . Vegetables were so well cooked and roast potatoes were outstanding.portions were very good size. EXCEPTIONAL ROAST. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure you had everything. Beautiful quaint pub with wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend. We will be back 💯. Donna and Paul 🥰🥰

The best Sunday roast in Thanet by a mile. Tastes like the home cooked roast my dear old Nan used to make. Even the gravy was heavenly. We ordered two lamb shank roasts. The lamb fell off the bone and almost melted in the mouth. Crispy and fluffy roast potatoes, roasted carrots and a very generous serving of varied green veg. They even served a side plate of cauliflower and broccoli cheese. Everything was cooked perfectly. Staff are attentive and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Very good selection of real ales. Had London pride and two Gadds. I opted for the Gadds Folk'n'ale. A light, mildly hoppy ale which is only 3.8%. Served with a smile. The locals are very friendly, which adds to the charm of this cosy, beautiful pub. But THAT roast dinner....

Best ploughman's ever. You did not need to ask what type of ploughman's, it had everything.
