Had a wonderful evening with friends last night - food was fantastic (best lamb I have ever eaten) and everything was just wonderful. Quality of food and cooking by Giacomo was of the highest standard as usual. Ambience and Xmas decorations also.

We regularly come to Giacomo’s especially for the theme nights with singers & the charity dinners. We really do have the most enjoyable time & feel very special each time. Giacomo’s food is always delicious, hot & lots of it! The waiters (especially Antonio) really look after us & always spend time entertaining my nephew & niece & making us laugh. Giac always makes a point of greeting us himself when we arrive & he also comes to each table regularly throughout the evening to ensure that everyone is happy, having a good time & for a chat. The restaurant is beautifully decorated & looks even more stunning at Christmas. We definitely recommend Giacomo’s & thank every member of staff for always making it a special time.

5 stars alone doesn’t do this place justice! I booked this wonderful cafe for my mums 70th. The ladies who own it were so helpful right from the start planning options and catered to my budget exactly. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were all home made and absolutely delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Safe to say my mum had the best party! If you are considering kake and kocktail for a party, gathering or simply coffee and cake do not hesitate! How lucky are we to have this amazing gem on our doorstep! Thanks a million ladies and see you soon xx

Visited for a full English breakfast with a friend. Looks to be a meeting place for young mums with kids but that wasn't an issue. Food pretty reasonable and affordable. Service was attentive and polite.

Hired the place out for my 40th party last weekend and had a blast. I paid extra for a late license which takes music up to about 12, but means you don’t have to exit until around 1 - highly recommend for a bit of flexibility. Price is really reasonable for hire, but also the drinks & food are too. The food was fab, I even brought home some for the next day and it was super tasty. Everyone who attended had a fab time and the staff there on the evening couldn’t do enough to make it a special night! I know family who are local will look to use the venue again.

Brought my mum here for afternoon tea. We frequently go to different places, this by far has been the best. I'm coeliac and they catered for my needs so well and I didn't feel like I was eating anything different. Thank you so much. Great place, helpful and friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hidden Jen restaurant last night, and it was truly a memorable experience. The ambiance was enchanting, with dimmed lights and a cozy atmosphere that set the perfect mood for the evening. The live singer's performance added an extra layer of charm to our dining experience, filling the air with beautiful melodies that complemented the overall ambiance. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was a delightful journey of flavors, expertly prepared and presented. From the appetizers to the desserts, every bite was a culinary delight. The attentive and friendly staff only added to the positive experience, ensuring that we felt well taken care of throughout the evening. Hidden Jane is undoubtedly a gem in the world of dining, offering not only delectable cuisine but also an atmosphere that transports you to a different world. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with a touch of magic. It's a place where great food, live music, and a fantastic atmosphere come together to create an unforgettable evening.

We stop off here when we charge the car and enjoy sitting in and having a small lunch. It's great to see they are able to cater for plant based diets and as we just found out, gluten free (as my daughter is on an exclusion diet for a while) so we were able to have gluten free bread with our soup. They also do a great oat milk latte. What would make the meal 100% is providing some non dairy spread/butter for the bread, but otherwise we can't fault the service, very friendly staff and the quality of the food. I'd say it is good value for money.

Dhimant & Sara made sure we were well looked after and even brought a birthday pudding as a surprise! They gave excellent service and were warm and friendly. Some dishes were better than others. We had a meagre portion of chips with the burgers and there could have been more flavours but my table were very happy and we went to enjoy the escape room which was brill. Overall it’s worth a visit!

My husband I found this place accidentally as we were looking for a Tesla supercharger, which was located behind this restaurant. And what a GEM it was!! Both of us ordered the LAMB SHANK, along with Sweet Potato Fries & Homemade Onion Rings. It was SUPERB!! Really DELICIOUS!!! We were welcomed by Deep, the friendly waiter. He was the one who recommended us the lamb shank as it's one of their specialties. And AMRO, the chef who made the yummy food, came out to deliver our order is also a super friendly guy and very kind. We ended up having a nice chat with him and he even gave us a free sweet treat that he just made, super yummy! We highly recommend this place as we had a very wonderful dining experience there. Thanks again Amro & Deep! :)

The liver starter was beautiful. Chilli Prawns great. The mixed grill was the bestI have had. My wife enjoyed her mixed shish. Large portions. Everything was bursting with flavour. A birthday meal with friends. Luckily managed to park outside in the road just after 19.00, don't think they have a car park. Upon entering, you see the hot grill sizzling and the sight of meat on skewers cooking. Nice man held the door open. My party was already there, seated on the 2nd floor. On my way to them, lots of filled tables, quite busy. Attentive staff, quick to take drink orders, and allowed us time to catch up and view the food menu. Empty glasses and plates quickly removed. The food was lovely. The lamb kebab was outstanding, simply cooked and delicious. As standard, the mains are accompanied by rice, bulger wheat, and salad. No problems throughout the meal, service charge automatically added, about £6 a head. Toilets on the 3rd floor. I didn't have dessert or coffee or liqueurs, so I can't comment. I couldn't manage to eat all my mains as I gorged on the hummus and prawns. They were happy to pack it up for takeaway. An enjoyable experience and one that we will repeat. 6 people eating, we split the bill and rounded up for convience, £60 per person.

Lovely atmosphere and great service, everyone is very attentive. Food wise the portions are good and the usual wonderful flavours of chargrilled turkish food. The chilli prawns and bread were amazing (make sure you let them know you want the halal version and they’ll cook it with Olive oil instead of wine) - Worth a visit if you’re in the area. Only criticism, more bread would have been nice. Most Turkish restaurants serve bread and sauces as you arrive these days, we’ve become spoilt by them, lol.

Wasn't expecting to find such a good Turkish restaurant outside of London and this might be one of the best I've had! Everything was just so yummy! In particular the lamb cubes(?) were perfection - juicy, tender and so flavorful. The chicken also came perfectly charred and tender. We got the shared platter for 2 which includes the hot meze platte and mixed grill for £56. Enormous portions and we got to try a bit of everything. Pleasantly surprised by the policy of not including a service charge. The decor was warm, modern and cosy. Will 💯 be back.

The White Hart

Tonbridge Rd, Sevenoaks TN13 1SG, UK | Pub
P: 01732 452022

Rating: 4.5 (1288) Price Level:

What a find! Brilliant pub. Service - Super friendly attentive service right from the beginning. Food - The food was delicious. We had the prawn curry (giant prawns!) and the steak burger. Latte was also lovely. We didn’t have starters or desserts but I am sure they’d have been just as good. The settings - Beautiful settings, we booked the garden covered area and it was glorious. The interior of the pub also looked great, & the conservatory looked lovely. They also had uncovered garden seating at the back of the pub & a few tables roadside at the front - so ample choice. There was also a small play frame for kids. Dogs on leads are allowed in the gardens and the bar. Parking - Car park isn’t massive. We arrived on a sunny Saturday 1.30pm and it was full. However the road directly outside the pub can be parked on, there was no parking signs to prohibit and other cars had done the same. So that’s a plus to have road parking! Both options are free. Prices - it wasn’t super cheap, standard gastro-pub prices £17-£19 for a main, £8 for a dessert and so on. We had a cocktail, main and coffees and it was £25 each. But for the price I think it’s pretty standard nowadays. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for such friendly service, delicious food and glorious settings!

The passion fruit martinis did not disappoint! Whereas the scallops starter was somewhat of an average experience. The chorizo jam is a nice touch, however the chicken crackling does not go well with this dish. It was unfortunately very oily and thick, impacting the quality and flavour of the dish. This was communicated with the servers who were cooperative and understanding.

The menu is good, definitely on the pricey side. Roast menu on Sundays is great and worth the money. The service is usually great, fast and friendly staff, but on the odd occasion you may find yourself waiting for a while. Parking gets tricky closer to 1pm, however it is free. Booking highly advised, it gets really busy.

Booked to come here for a festive meal with my family and we had a lovely time. No8 has a relaxed and warm atmosphere , and we all felt totally at ease even with two young babies with us. - tables have plenty of space around them if you are bringing prams, pushchairs etc and there is an accessible gender neutral bathroom with a changing table -there were good variety of veggie/vegan options and specific separate dairy free menus provided which had bespoke dishes that didn't feel like an after thought The food and drinks were all delicious, the service was great. All round excellent value for money and we will definitely be coming back.

The Anchor

32 London Rd, Sevenoaks TN13 1AS, UK | Pub
P: 01732 454898

Rating: 4.6 (261) Price Level:

Great old-fashioned boozer on the Sevenoaks high street (though it's a bit of a hike up the hill from the railway station for those with limited mobility but there is a bus service). Long-serving landlord serves good beer. Nice bit of live music when we visited on Sunday. Well worth a try😁👍.

Anonymous - 7 months ago

Rating: 5 / 5

Best pub in Sevenoaks, simple as that. As well as a top-drawer selection of ales at the lowest prices around The Anchor has the full range of amenities you'd expect 'the local' to have but so few still do; fresh food every day, live music at least twice a week, regular darts matches, television in a corner discreetly showing sport, even a meat raffle, as well as occasional specials, for example an authentic Greek meal van visiting once a month. None of this would work without personality and under the leadership of Barry, the biggest hearted landlord in the business, the staffs natural charm make this the friendliest and most welcoming pub you could hope to visit. I've seen some places with 'Enter A Stranger, Leave As A Friend' on the door; The Anchor doesn't need a sign to say it, it's the reality of the place. If you don't leave here with a smile on your face walk across the road to the Town Medical Centre and tell them your soul's fallen out somewhere.

There is a reason the locals very much use this pub. You won't find prices as low as this for home cooked food. On our visit on a Friday lunchtime, we were amazed how good the pies were with seasonal vegetables. I would definitely return. We visited two other pubs in the High Street. One only had sandwiches, the other just over priced burgers in a brioche bun.

A classic pub experience which is hard to find in Sevenoaks! No pretensions of being a restaurant, this is a basic but friendly boozer with a good selection of well kept ales. A regular in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide, I've never had a bad pint in here. Friendly regulars and a relaxed atmosphere make this a great place to relax and enjoy a pint and the banter. There's a small food menu with sandwiches, jackets and burgers. Great pub.

Great service, nice ambience, though somehow the experience of the ambience wasn't as great as I am used to. It doesn't matter that the wall painting dropped, its the fact that nobody else moved and checked on the member of staff that caught it. Only thing that left a strange feeling, and stopped me from the perfect 5 for atmosphere. Otherwise great place for father daughter breakfast chat ☺️.
