“I had the best breakfast here since the beginning of my stay in the UK. I rate the whole experience very good. The service was nice and helpful. We didn't wait long after placing the order. The dishes were wonderful - fresh, tasty, pleasing to the eye and palate. Compliments to the chef. Delicious coffee. I will definitely come back here, even though the queue in front of the entrance is not getting shorter 😄 It's really worth it!”

“This is a long awaited review! I visited here a long while ago with my boyfriend and family and I just haven’t stopped thinking about it. We travelled up here from strood as a special visit as we saw the place on google come up as one of the best restaurants near me. So we made the trip and it was more than worth it. The food was incredible, it was so hot and tasty I would honestly say it was one of the best meals I have ever had! The restaurant is also so beautiful and has a lovely feel to it, and the staff make this even better they are so kind and welcoming and provide great service, I definitely will make a point if coming back here when I can as it lived up to beyond my expectations. I have to add in, the scotch egg was unbelievable, although I didn’t take a second to photograph it, it wad the best scotch egg I have ever tasted, I 100% recommend it!”

“Quirky local pub off a picturesque town square. The place is full of books and odd little decorations, in a good way (it's a great if only a little random book selection). The staff was super friendly and service was quick, given how busy it was. The food was nice too and very filling. Price was reasonable - we paid £35 each for main, dessert and a couple of drinks. There are two friendly pub dogs who roam around. Customers were nice too - one of them even got the whole pub to sing my boyfriend happy birthday.”

“It’s not an easy task to find a restaurant that can accommodate a 7 month old baby and our step mother in law who is in a wheelchair as well as dish up delicious food but samphire did all this and more. Staff were friendly and helpful in accommodating our needs and the brunch dishes were sublime. Perfection!”

White Lion
The Street, Selling, Faversham ME13 9RQ, UK

“We spent the weekend in Selling with our Goldendoodle Bertie. Our Airbnb host recommended the pub for food. I am so grateful. The food was excellent. We were in there both Friday and Saturday night. The staff and locals were friendly and welcoming. We felt very comfortable, especially having our dog with us. The first night I had the lamb chop which was cooked beautifully followed by Tirimusu. My husband is a vegetarian and had the veg burger. He had no complaints whatsoever. On the Saturday, again we were welcomed and there was a different waitress working, who again was very attentive. I had steak and kidney pudding and my husband had a vegetarian pizza. They did provide other vegetarian food but he was tempted by the pizzas the night before. He wasn’t disappointed. This is a lovely country pub in a beautiful location with lovely owners/staff and the food is very good. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pub to anyone. I would travel the hour and a half it took us, just to go back there. Thank you all at the White Lion.”

The Fordwich Arms
King St, Fordwich, Canterbury CT2 0DB, UK

“What an experience. 1st Michelin star restaurant we have been to and it did not disappoint. My daughter and son-in-law visit high end, Michelin restaurants a lot more than us and they said it was the best they have had. Well done to the team at The Fordwich Arms. Of course we had the taster menu. It was delicious. My wife wouldn't choose fish on any menu but she loved those dishes the best especially the oyster. We visited the Fordwich Arms about 20 years ago with my in-laws and it was great then. Pub hasn't changed much which is great. It has kept its old world charm. Service was lovely. Thank you. Cosy Club
20-21 St Margaret's St, Canterbury CT1 2TH, UK
Phone: 01227 387046
“I'd never known that Cosy Club existed until someone I know had recommended going. A friend and I were visiting Canterbury for a bottomless brunch at another venue and just had to visit to find out how nice it was for ourselves. It was a Sunday early evening, and quiet when we arrived. Our welcome was super friendly, and the service at the bar was good. Cocktails were 2 for £12.95 which is brilliant! We didn't have much time available before our booking elsewhere, although we tried to push back our other booking so we could stay longer, but was unfortunately unsuccessful in getting hold of the other venue, which was a shame. Despite this, we had enjoyed our first drink so much that we decided to go back for another before ending our evening and heading home. The lady at the bar even brought them outside for us! The decor is absolutely stunning, drinks tasted amazing and were served with a smile. We would definitely be back to try more of the cocktail menu!😍”
