Lovely Christmas Afternoon Tea, Nothing too much trouble, Very Cosy& Friendly. Both My Friend & I Thoroughly Enjoyed It.

Had our first visit to this hidden gem on Saturday. Fantastic service and quality at a very reasonable price point. Good range of choices on menu, food was all fresh, tasty and appetising. So glad having found this as recently moved to the Marsh, would seem that we have found our new "goto" restaurant.

Home cooked food ! Called into this gem of a restaurant buried somewhere in the middle of Romney Marsh for lunch. Service was spot on, young lady Michelle attentive . Shame we live at Rochford ! 😭

What can I say?! The food was exceptional, truly. Every course was packed full of flavour, the staff were really polite and friendly. It was expensive, my partner and I saved up for Christmas, but it was an experience we'll never forget. We went for the 8 course tasting menu, but we also got snacks and bread too, so it was more like 10 courses. We had cocktails/mocktails to accompany and they didn't disappoint either. I really would recommend going. The food for us was 10/10 and well worth the price.

Absolutely brilliant experience at Hide and Fox. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the waitresses were superb. We went for the 8 course taster and there wasn't a single thing on there we didn't like. 100% will be coming back again soon!

We should celebrate restaurants like this because they are now a rarity. Very intimate setting coupled with very attentive and good service. The food in the kitchen is definitely worthy of a Michelin star, with several standout dishes such as the monkfish with bouillabaisse. If there was one thing to improve- the red wine is served at room temperature rather than 18 degrees. I hope they keep going, there is a lot of talent from this team!

This is a real hidden treasure. In the small town of Dymchurch, Kent. If your vising this lovely town, and enjoy a real beer or cider, then this is the only place you will need to visit, a place worth travelling miles for. Cant wait to visit again with friends and family. (please note, this is a place for those who enjoy a real pint and does not sell spirits)

Great little place, lovely little garden in the back. Even when the main street was packed, this was nice and quiet. The staff was lovely and helpful with recommendations. They can throw together a non-alcoholic cocktail if you ask.

In the center of the small village of Dymchurch I found a small bar with a super welcoming atmosphere. The welcome to new visitors is as if they had just arrived home. It's a place I would really recommend to escape the stress and have a drink.

Excellent food, ploughman's was the biggest we've ever seen, burgers were massive, reasonably priced, friendly staff, good efficient service, dog 🐕 friendly too, he was made welcome with his own water bowl.

The best roast I've had in an age, seperate bowls of parsnips, potato and veg. So much food. Lovely staff too.

Family of eight had Sunday dinner here today and what a find 😍 Ladies were so friendly & helpful & everyone had a wonderful home cooked meal. Couldn’t manage one of their desserts sadly after lunch as it was such a generous meal. Great roast potatoes & vegetables cooked to perfection - would highly recommend.

Found this pub through Google maps, whilst staying in the area. Friendly welcome on arrival. Food was really good, properly homemade food! Husband had Steak and stilton pie, and I chose stuffed Pork Belly, both meals with potatoes and seasonal veg and excellent gravy. Very reasonable prices. Also good honeycomb cheesecake and I had coffee. Highly recommend. Proper pub, proper food (real pastry pie with top and bottom homemade pastry, not just casserole with pastry lid) proper nice change!

Very friendly team with great recommendations. Superb Steak & Cheddar Pie! Fresh veg and mash and plenty of gravy. Peaceful in the garden. Looked a little cosy inside. Well worth a visit. Plus, a good pub will always supply you with a sachet of Stokes mayonnaise, and that’s exactly what they did. (Although we didn’t think it was required for the delicious lasagne or pie, and so it’s going back with us for beer battered onion rings in the caravan).

Good old fashioned honest pub serving simple food done very well. Had a Sunday lunch of slow roast leg of lamb and trimmings - absolute massive piece of extremely tasty lamb and lots of nice veg: roast pots, cauliflower, broccoli & carrots. Yorkshire and gravy too. Very reasonably priced. Recommended. Edit: went again at the start of November. Still excellent!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Italian restaurant, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a charming yet modern feel. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations without being overbearing. The food was simply outstanding. Every dish we tried, from the freshly made pasta to the perfectly seasoned pizza, was bursting with flavour and clearly made with the finest ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Overall, this restaurant delivers an authentic Italian dining experience that leaves you wanting more. I’ll definitely be returning and will be recommending it to friends and family. A true gem!

We went with our 4 year old grand daughter and the staff were really engaging with her ! The food was amazing, little one said the spag Bol was better was mine!! She was asked which decoration was her favourite on the Xmas tree and then was given it! She was so pleased and it’s now proudly on her own tree! Will definitely be returning.

From the moment we walked into Ruzzo Italian, the atmosphere was inviting and warm. The service was impeccable, with friendly staff who made us feel right at home. We started with their bruschetta, which was perfectly seasoned, with fresh tomatoes and basil on crispy, toasted bread. For the main course, I had the Fettuccine Alfredo, which was rich and creamy, with just the right balance of flavors. My partner opted for the Lasagna, which was hearty, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. The wine selection was excellent, and the staff were happy to recommend a perfect pairing for our meal. We finished with a delightful Tiramisu for dessert – light, flavorful, and the perfect end to a wonderful meal. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, making it ideal for both a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends and family. Ruzzo Italian truly exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return for another fantastic meal. Highly recommended!

First time visiting and we will most definitely be back! Food was absolutely delicious and price wise very reasonable. Staff were a little over attentive which did make us feel a little rushed but we put this down to them being a little on the quiet side all were very friendly.

We were staying next door and Coach House immediately felt like an extension of our cottage! Very friendly husband and wife team, great Greek influenced food (my chicken salad was fantastic), family friendly. Also good breakfast options, we had coffee and cake and just regret not being able to try more options!

Fabulous place for lunch! The Spartan burger is awesome! The millionaire biscoff cake is delicious, we were 6 hungry cyclists who left full up and happy! We will be coming back, super quick service too

My partner and I ate here as we wanted to grab a bit to eat whilst enjoying the sun and we were both stunned by the food. The chef has got his flavours absolutely nailed, everything tasted amazing and the dishes were the type that you’d expect at a high end restaurant. This being said, the prices were still very affordable and the portion sizes are generous - so much so that I walked in quite hungry and still couldn’t finish my plate. The only criticism I have is that we waited upwards of 20 minutes for our food, but I’m more than happy to look past this as it was very busy, the food was well worth the wait, and the staff were attentive and checked on us regularly. If you’re Kent based and haven’t checked this hidden gem out, please do!

From farm-fresh produce to succulent meats, each bite is a testament to the Freds commitment to excellence. It's disheartening to see recent reviews that fail to recognize the value of this small, local gem. These criticisms seem unjustified and out of touch with the realities of running a business like The Coach House. Perhaps these individuals would be better suited to the food and environment offered in a less classy establishment, but for those who appreciate genuine culinary craftsmanship, The Coach House is a true find. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Fred and Hazel for their tireless dedication to delivering exceptional food. Their commitment to quality and passion for food shines through in every dish, making The Coach House a must-visit destination for anyone with an appreciation for fine cuisine. My partner and I viewed Lympne Castle while deciding on our wedding venue. We didn’t end up choosing Lympne, purely just due to liking some of the building features of another venue better, but it was a really hard decision. Joy, who showed us around, was absolutely amazing. So considerate, so warm and put up with one of my bridal party asking about twenty million questions like an absolute pro. There was a real sense that whatever kind of vibe we wanted, the team would make it work - and Joy was really considerate of cost, too. If the other venue didn’t exist we 1000% would have had our wedding here and I’m sure that we would have been extremely well looked after. The naughty dog bistro round the corner is excellent as well, and all the staff were lovely and really considerate about allergies. We’ll definitely be back to stay.

We had drinks and dog snacks at The Naughty Dog. Staff are really friendly, and the bar has a lovely relaxing feel. Sadly, we got there too late to order food. So I can't wait to go back to try some.

We got married at Lympne Castle a few weeks ago and it was perfect. The location is outstanding - a beautiful castle, stunning grounds and a view over the sea. The staff are friendly and hard working. Joy - the event manager - was fantastic to work with, and made sure our day flowed seamlessly and enjoyably. I love what the new owners have done with castle - keeping its history and beauty while adding some quirky new features such as the dog-themed bistro and medieval bar. Couldn't recommend this location more highly. Not just for weddings, but for any sort of event, or casual lunch/drink. Will be back many, many more times.

Had a most delicious Sunday roast. Served with abundance of veggies and gravy... Enjoyed how the staff were dressed up in medieval costumes, making it feel realistic. Service was exceptional and friendly. Wonderful gardens and view over the horizon. Parking is a little troublesome but not a major problem.

The Lazy Shack is a beachfront gem offering stunning ocean views, lovely food, and amazing coffee. Whether you’re enjoying a cappuccino or an iced drink, you can relax in their outdoor seating with the sea breeze and a view of the waves. Their menu features fresh cakes and delicious meals , all served by a friendly and attentive staff that makes you feel right at home. With its incredible location, fantastic food, and warm service, it’s the perfect spot to unwind by the beach!

We’ve been working in the area and have made it our go to breakfast place after visiting several others first. Love the Kippers and the Coffees great too! Friendly and attentive staff , located on the beach in Hythe nice atmosphere and great views of the sea!

It's a genuine non fancy pub and all the better for it. It's like pubs used to be; a bit tired decor but it makes up with good simple food and a friendly welcome. I actually thought "I wish I were a local" as it's a very genuine place. Ideal to sit and chat. Not for those who want fancy. But if you want a pie and a pint in good company you will struggle to better.

A lunch time pub treat while staying at the Daleacre camp site. A lovely country Inn, a nice friendly atmosphere and surprisingly good home cooked food at very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend a meal here if your on your way to the Euro Tunnel

Today, I treated myself and my son to a great pub lunch, we decided to try a mixture of starters, and we were not disappointed by the potion size and quality of the food. The staff were very welcoming and happy to have a chat. I will definitely be having food here again.

Wanted to take my mother somewhere for lunch so we went to Botolphs Bridge Inn. What a fabulous pub the food was home cooked and absolutely amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be going back there is so much more food we wish to try it was a hard choice as everything looked fabulous.
