If you want to experience a proper home cooked British meal you need to go no further than The Bear. Great selection of beer and wine. Real sense of family run establishment. Friendly service by the lovely young girl, and the chef even came out to check on us he was very welcoming and chatty. Highly recommend this pub. We'll see you again on our next visit to the area. “Lovely restaurant located near the creek in Faversham. We visited as a group for a 50th birthday celebration and had a fantastic time. All the food was made to a high standard and a great selection of wines. Staff were excellent and patient with my questions about the food and drink from some of our party. I had the salmon and King prawn dish, and it was fresh and full of favour. The pizzas looked incredible, as did the pasta dishes. We visited many times in the past, and it never fails to impress.”

The Shipwright's Arms
Hollowshore, Faversham ME13 7TU, UK
Phone: 01795 590088
“This is such a quaint pub. We heard about it from a book I was given years ago called Kent Smugglers' Pubs, and finally got round to visiting it. It's quite far along a little narrow lane, but easy enough to find. The ceilings are low, didn't bother me, but my husband had to duck, the low beams have bits of carpet fixed to them so if you do hit your head it won't be so hard. Loved the little sign for the toilet where you slide it along for vacant/engaged. Great to have log fires, more than one. My husband particularly likes real ales and had a pint of Shipwreck which he really enjoyed and would definitely go back for more. Being so close to the creek it's in a great position for lovely walks of the area. We walked part of the Saxon Shore Way to Faversham and back across the fields. The walk is well signposted, and we saw quite a few birds.”

“We had a joyful time with the family at Ask Italian in Faversham. Roxana welcomed us with a warm smile and a lovely, charismatic attitude. The kids adore her, she pays attention to details, helped us relax by keeping the children entertained with little activities such as drownings and distracting them with playful interaction until we got the food served. Thank you Roxana for the great service. We truly enjoyed the experience and look forward to seeing you again soon! :)”
