Home cooked food ! Called into this gem of a restaurant buried somewhere in the middle of Romney Marsh for lunch. Service was spot on, young lady Michelle attentive . Shame we live at Rochford ! 😭

Had our first visit to this hidden gem on Saturday. Fantastic service and quality at a very reasonable price point. Good range of choices on menu, food was all fresh, tasty and appetising. So glad having found this as recently moved to the Marsh, would seem that we have found our new "goto" restaurant.

I went there with a group of friends and it was a very pleasant experience. The female waiters were amazing and checked in often. Our food was good and appetizers were fair portions. We ordered a giant platter with different meats. All very good. Only thing was that the paper menus they gave us had inconsistent pricing with the menus inside.

Excellent food, really tasty, expansive menu with authentic food. Service was top notch. Loved our visit. Definitely recommend.

I had the mixed grill with chips, the meats were amazing. It's a big portion for one so either attack it with an empty belly or share between two if needed! Staff very friendly and all in all a lovely dinner.

Really lovely meal. We were given a salad with some freshly made bread and a couple of dips as a starter. On the house. Our main courses were excellent, but so big we didn't have room for a desert. My turkish coffee came beautifully presented, see the photo.... The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Would definitely return. Thank you very much. for an excellent lunch.

Great pub, great staff, great food and great punters! Spent three days in New Romney recently and the Cinque quickly became our go to pub. Talk about a warm, welcoming pub! Simply cannot fault the place. Don't miss out on their rustic chips either (much better than French fries). Cheapest pub in the hight street too! Cannot recommend this pub highly enough. Our annual visit to the Cinque Ports collided with a fantastic summer festival which included an upcoming band and our new favourites: mixed emotions! Incredible turn out for a really talented band. I can tell you now, this band will never forget this pub! Even when they’re performing at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds!

Had a couple of drinks romney ale was fabulous! Lovely lady behind the bar and very pleasant locals. Top marks we will return

Had a lovely afternoon Attending a Christening celebration party . Venue was comfortable for a large gathering. The Buffett served a good variety of food and constantly re filled when empty. Staff were friendly, I can highly recommend this pub.

Friendly staff who know their stuff about real ales and ciders. Always a good selection of both on tap. Reasonably priced but make sure you eat before you go.

A very good choice of ales which are well kept. NOTE, this is a cash only pub.

Really nice place. Took me 5 minutes to realise the guy explaining the beers on the board to me didn't work there, he was just being friendly. 3 casks on with future ones advertised. Mrs Bittershurn chose from a range of gins and mixers to develop something that looked like a potion from the Nutty Professor which she claimed was nice. Beer excellent.

Amazing Family Dinner here tonight. Highly recommend the balance platter. Meat was so flavourful and tender. Everything was cooked to perfection. Served so quickly. Service was great too. Amazing!! Thank you.

All our beer under £5 under new management now we do kebabs 4.30 to close every night eat in or delivery we have reduce all the price every one is welcome

Really great to see such a lively bar doing so well in New Romney and for a good cause. Staff were great, food was good and atmosphere was just right. Can't wait to go again and get involved with the menu some more. And....dog friendly that goes a long way with us . Thanks Balance Bar

Dinner with my Dad, we both had the steak and Ale pie and it was the best pie we had ever had!! Massive pie absolutely crammed with melt in the mouth steak. The chips were delicious too. Staff were all lovely and so friendly. Definitely will be back x

Very friendly team with great recommendations. Superb Steak & Cheddar Pie! Fresh veg and mash and plenty of gravy. Peaceful in the garden. Looked a little cosy inside. Well worth a visit. Plus, a good pub will always supply you with a sachet of Stokes mayonnaise, and that’s exactly what they did. (Although we didn’t think it was required for the delicious lasagne or pie, and so it’s going back with us for beer battered onion rings in the caravan).

Family of eight had Sunday dinner here today and what a find 😍 Ladies were so friendly & helpful & everyone had a wonderful home cooked meal. Couldn’t manage one of their desserts sadly after lunch as it was such a generous meal. Great roast potatoes & vegetables cooked to perfection - would highly recommend.

Found this pub through Google maps, whilst staying in the area. Friendly welcome on arrival. Food was really good, properly homemade food! Husband had Steak and stilton pie, and I chose stuffed Pork Belly, both meals with potatoes and seasonal veg and excellent gravy. Very reasonable prices. Also good honeycomb cheesecake and I had coffee. Highly recommend. Proper pub, proper food (real pastry pie with top and bottom homemade pastry, not just casserole with pastry lid) proper nice change!

Had to post, wr had a takeaway last night. And I must say, it did not disapoint. The food was tasty, plenty of it, hadn't tryed this indian for a while, will use this again very nice pleasantly surprised thank you well done 😀 😊

After seeing the reviews,I decided to try.what can I say,you certainly won’t be disappointed.it was delicious.Definitely worth the 20 minute car ride.

First time ordering home delivery, excellent tasty food and service . Great value for money

We were recommended to eat here by some local people in the Smugglers ale house. We visited quite early on a Saturday and plenty of tables available. The service was friendly and speedy. I nipped next door for a bottle of wine. Superb food, the sag aloo was the best I have tasted.

Love it here! So friendly it feels like home. Atmosphere is great, food is excellent! All home cooked on the day, fresh and authentic. My favourite is the home made guacamole, the prawns and the pulled pork. Also best Margaritas around! All the best Phil and Michaela x

During New Romney Lantern Parade, Santa Fe were serving large hot dogs... the staff were friendly and helpful and the hot dogs were the best hot dogs I've ever had. I loved mine and my kids loved theirs. Definitely will return for a meal sometime!

Was there for the Texas night (Nov'23). Amazing food, great size portions, super quality and very welcoming. Nice and cosy restaurant. Couple of cocktails to start. Highly recommended, and we will be back.
