This place is an absolute gem. The steak is the best I have ever eaten. They even created a cocktail especially for me. You will not be disappointed, and I highly recommend it

Really nice food - tasty steaks and sides. Fillet steaks were good, they were the well done end of Medium as a guide to their cooking. Chicken wings were a good starter, steak burger was also great. Sides of Mac n cheese and coleslaw were lovely. Peppercorn sauce and chimmichuri recommended as sauces! Fun cocktails also presented nicely!

Wonderful time at this restaurant. Booked to go for a friends birthday on Christmas Eve as we were in the area staying over Christmas. The food was amazing, high quality food, great taste and a wonderful selection. Friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

Food was delicious and service was good. Restaurant was cold when we entered but Ayesha put the heating on and it warmed up. The mocktail drink (Pina colada) was bad. We ordered Korean shrimp for starters, lambology with truffle mash and steak with mushroom sauce. The mushroom sauce was to die for. The lambology should come with a side but it didn’t. The smash burgers are not on their main menu so I did not order. Would recommend and come back again.

My friend and I went for a meal at Kypseli on Friday evening and it was fantastic, as always. I often eat at Kypseli either in the restaurant or via takeaway and I am always blown away by the quality of the food and Friday evening was no exception. It is always a pleasure to eat with friends here as I know full well that we are going to have a fantastic experience, with great atmosphere, friendly staff and really lovely chilled family vibes. Another great job all! I look forward to eating here again soon 😃

A little piece of Greece in Cranbrook! Great atmosphere, delicious food, impeccable service at great prices. I don’t like tzatziki and asked to not have it with my souvlaki, it was kindly replaced with a delicious hummus without even having to ask which was lovely. It clearly shows how much they care about customer satisfaction. We’ll certainly be back soon ❤️🇬🇷

What can I say, just lovely! Fantastic service, fabulous food. Started with dips which were lovely, continued with linguini prawns and pork stew. Puddings of a traditional cheesecake type dish with Shredded almonds ... kefka I think. Wonderful. Great atmosphere out the back with blankets and heaters! Definitely go again! Thank you?

This was a first-time visit for us to Kypseli, and it definitely won't be our last! We were a party of nine, celebrating my Mum & Dad's Emerald wedding anniversary. Everything about the experience from the moment I first contacted Kypseli to make the arrangements was perfect. The food was delicious & very authentic, and the atmosphere and attention to detail were second to none. The staff were super friendly and took care of us all wonderfully and made it very special for my Mum & Dad. Thank you for a fantastic evening. We can't wait to come back!

Attended last night for birthday surprise and wasn't disappointed. The staff were very attentive throughout the evening. Head Chef Lee has created a menu which is a delight. The menu to make a decision which of the 5 starters & 6 mains to choice was extremely hard as I could and was tempted to have one of each. The food was as good as u can get the flavours were exquisite. The pairing of wine is a great idea. You will not be disappointed in booking here. Will be returning.

I came here for an anniversary meal and it didn't disappoint. Don't let the exterior pub-like look fool you. On the inside, it's a fine dining experience. Incredible food and service. The only reason it gets 3 stars for the atmosphere is because we went on a Monday which was very quiet. Will definitely be back for the tasting night which sounded excellent.

Incredible. Genuinely one of the best breakfasts we've had in a long time. The breakfast muffin had a sausage patty that was of the utmost quality. The pancakes had a chocolate ganache that was as rich as they come. Service was prompt, views were great, even the toilets were clean and presentable. Amazing, will return as soon as possible.

As celebrants, we at Kate and Kate just love The Bell, Ticehurst! The ceremony room is absolutely stunning, and the downstairs area is so quirky and unique. Even the toilets have a cool vibe! Everything about this venue is fabulous and completely one-of-a-kind. We highly recommend The Bell for weddings—especially the lovely nest where the couple can spend their wedding night. It's truly a great choice for any couple looking for a memorable experience! Becky, the wedding and events manager and her team are always on hand and will make sure your day is as special and fabulous as you are!

We were already big fans of The Bell but having our wedding their sealed it as our favourite pub/ hotel/ place. There aren't the words to express how grateful we are to every single person there working over our wedding weekend. A quote from one of our guests gets us closest "You said you were getting married in a pub?! This isn't a pub. This is like no where I've ever been". And they were right. The Bell really is like no place you've been. There's no pub with better food. No hotel with nicer yet so homely rooms. No place with nicer more accommodating staff. Becky made the whole wedding process so smooth and we're endlessly grateful to her for that. But everyone working over the course of the weekend helped my husband and I have the best few days imaginable. If you're considering it as your wedding venue, do it! We'd do it all over again if we could!

Visited this lovely place for our Anniversary in November, Service and atmosphere was amazing! Happened to be a wedding going on, we arrived as a lovely horse and carriage was leaving which was a bit special as that's what we had 22 years ago.(A lovely memory for us)! A pub full of character and wonderful staff, a special thank you to May who looked after us, very friendly and professional. Can't wait to return! Thank you again.

An amazing place to visit! Came for the tasting and stayed for lunch but would definitely revisit for lunch. The tasting was great particularly if you like rosé. Really knowledgeable staff. Waiters etc all so friendly too. Loved the build-your-own plate and the lamb flatbread was outstanding. We shared one of each between 4 of us and it was perfect. The pick up shuttle is great too between the station (no set timetable, just leaves when it’s full/no one else)

I recently had the opportunity to enjoy a Women's Day outing, which was a delightful experience. Our group was transported via van from the train station to a winery located about 45 minutes outside of London, where we savored a lovely lunch. Following that, we participated in a thoughtfully curated wine tasting that offered valuable insights into the winery's history. Overall, the experience was both fun and enjoyable.

Beautiful winery with great food. They offer tours of all sorts around their wine. They also brew their own Lager and IPA which they have on tap in the restaurant. Additionally they have 2 different kind of ciders. Staff is excellent.

Turned up fairly late on a weekday to have a wander around and sample some wine and beer. Nice grounds, unfortunately it was pretty overcast and quite damp underfoot, so good boots are a must. Great service, had some lovely drinks and bought a few bottles to take home with us.

Great food, really good service. Quite pricey but not excessive. Had the squash and blue cheese starter which was really delicious, the chicken kebab main which was really fun, and the grilled veggies were perfect. The crumble dessert was good, but needed more actual crumble. Also one minor criticism, the electric vehicle charger out front is brilliant...if it works, which it didn't.

A really great old pub to visit and eat, excellent Sunday roast and plenty of choice of meals from a varied menu including pizza cooked fresh in a huge indoor pizza oven. A lovely old building updated to a very high standard. Recommended 👍

I had a takeaway roast platter today and wow I was not disappointed. Usually a roast from anywhere other than at home isn’t anywhere near as satisfying as you’d hope. This one exceeded my expectations. Service on the telephone was friendly and helpful. Service when I arrived was also lovely. Meal was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely pub! Just popped in for an afternoon drink and had a great time sitting in the sunshine watching the birds- and when I say birds, I mean the ducks, Guinea fowl and peacocks that call the pub garden home! Very reasonably priced, with very friendly bar staff and clean facilities. I look forward to going back to try their food soon :)

Great service and friendly staff. The food is quite good, but it's standard pub menu. My main gripe is that the alcohol-free beer selection consists only of Heineken. There are so many decent alcohol free beers such as Lucky Saint that they should be stocking.

I visited for lunch today.. I had the chicken strips to start, which were a little on the dry side, but tasty.. then I had The Peacock burger for my main.. and I can honestly say, that was the best burger I've had in a long time.. so juicy and tasty and the chips were lovely too!! Highly recommend you order a burger if visiting! Lovely traditional pub. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy.

Enjoyable pub lunch in a heavy thunderstorm. The Spitfire beer was off so I tried Masterbrew instead.

The starter pickles were really good, the drinks were amazing I had the shrub (twice). the main veg course could have been a little more interesting/varied needed an extra bit. The dessert quince merge was very tasty. It’s a very pretty place and the decor is beautiful, although there was heating and blankets it was a very cold evening, so I was a little cold. I would definitely go again though, definitely in the summer and maybe in the winter on not such a cold night. The staff are excellent!

It's just fantastic. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. I had the beef, which was fantastic. All the vegetables are grown there and most of the food and drink are locally sourced. The staff attention was perfect, and they couldn't do enough. Walk around the shop and gardens after you have eaten. BTW the food is served outside in the summer, and there are no heaters, but they do have blankets if you ask. Go for special occasions!

We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary by eating Sunday lunch at the walled garden - we ŵere not disappointed, the roast beef was delicious, excellent service, all-in-all a very good enjoyable experience.

Stunning setting, beautifully lit. Carnation house was lovely and warm under the heaters despite the chilly evening. Attentive and friendly service. Prompt serving of food and advice given on the menu. Food was absolutely amazing, personally I had the beetroot starter and the bavette as a main. The bavette was cooked perfectly and worked brilliantly with the pumpkin puree. Portions were more than ample and we felt that the pricing was bang on. All in all, we will definitely be returning, introducing more people to Water Lane and spreading the word!

Very pleased to stop off at this pub for a Sunday Lunch. Traditional, relaxed and cosy pub. Everything you would expect in terms of drinks. We were impressed with the Sunday Roast. Large portions of meat accompanied by a range of well cooked vegetables (not overdone). One person had the fish and chips which was also very tasty. Reasonable prices for the portion size.

Beautifully presented pub restaurant Food doesn’t get much better than that served at the Unicorn Pub and Restaurant. I love to take a snap or 50 of pubs; at the Unicorn it was the food that stood out. Inside, the interior is fresh with a mix of modern bright trinkets and farming equipment (just to make you aware you are in a country pub). The restaurant is humble, beaming from the light pouring in though it’s small windows. It is separate, but open to the bar area. The staff were humble, professional, chatty and courteous. The menu consists of a focussed range of traditional foods presented in their menu and on their specials board. Food arrived quickly and delivered accurately. Another great pub experience, The Unicorn crafts traditional foods beautifully in a refreshingly modern setting.

Organising a surprise birthday for a load of people can be tricky. My mum was given only a short time to live because of cancer so we did not think she would see another birthday. Needless to say, Nikki and her team at the Unicorn went above and beyond to make the evening feel so special. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Special made area of nibbles, decorations, party food table and so much more. Honestly, this was a night to remember. Nikki, I want to thank you and your team from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful evening!
