Absolutely stunning venue in such a perfect location which made the ceremony and reception of our dreams. Laura and co helped us out so much and helped to calm us amongst all the stress! If you're looking for a relaxed, flexible venue that you can really put your stamp on, this place is perfection.

Laura's support and assistance throughout the day and pre-wedding day communication was really great. She helped ensure that our suppliers were well-coordinated for setup and teardown. Despite the rain leading up to the big day, the sun came out and our wedding day was perfect. It was very special to be married in a venue that was beautiful as it is. Dinner in the forest was especially stunning. Our guests enjoyed the day. Thank you Laura!

We just had our wedding here. Laura and Sarah, and their team were all incredibly lovely, the dogs were very gentle and came to say hello. But they made sure we were all OK and helped loads with setting up etc. I cannot recommend this stunning venue enough!

Claire and the team did a fantastic job of decorating our wedding venue. We started the process of organising the decorations and flowers back in May 2023. Claire was very helpful, giving us lots of suggestions on how we could achieve our ideas within our budget. Over time as other aspects of the wedding came together we continued to refine the plan, each time Claire was full of good advice and a happy smile. She was reassuring when the colour scheme did a full turn, after we failed to find bridesmaids dresses in the colours we needed, helping to hunt down just the right colour ribbon to keep my initial vision alive. On the day I knew Claire and the team had everything in hand and that when I finally saw the venue it would be exactly what we had planned. My maid of honour needed silk flowers due to her allergies and Claire and the team managed to match them beautifully to the real ones. If fact when they arrived I struggled to tell them apart. Thank you so much for bringing the personal touch to our venue that we wanted and for my wonderful flowers.

We had a very definite view of how we wanted our venue to look. We knew it was quite different and we knew it was a bit out of the ordinary. When we were looking for someone to style our venue, we met with so many suppliers who showed either a vague passing interest in our plans or a complete lack of attention to detail when quoting that we were beginning to despair that no one would ever truly “get us”. That changed when we met Claire from ‘The Creative Venue’ at the Detling Wedding Experience. From that first meeting she was as excited as we were about our wedding and threw herself into the detail straight away, suggesting creative ideas to make our vision even better, all before we had even agreed prices and signed contracts – she was just happy to share her expertise with us. Claire was always excited to see us, like we were her family. She was patient and good humoured, even when we gave her a 32 page PowerPoint presentation of ideas, likes and dislikes (sorry Claire), she actually liked it. She was very reassuring and always happy to meet with the venue and other suppliers to make sure that we were all on the same page, she’s a real team player. We had so much to do that we didn’t really feel excited in the run up to our wedding, until the afternoon before our wedding when we saw our venue and the styling taking shape. In truth, whilst we knew Claire was very capable and we trusted her to bring our vision to life, we never really felt that anyone would get it 100% right, no one could every really take what was inside our heads and actually get it exactly right- ummm… we were so completely wrong. Claire did exactly that! She took a completely white room and worked with our florist, Jill from Passion Floral Design, to create the magical winter woodland for us, complete with lots of moss, twigs, twisted willow, ivy, with lots of warmth coming from deep reds, velvets, rose golds, candles by the bucket loads, hundreds of fairly lights, uplighters, crates, drapes, sequin drapes, paper lanterns, it was beautiful. We said that we didn’t want to turn on any overhead lights and that we wanted all the light in the room to come from the ambient light provided by the candles, fairly lights, uplighters etc – well they achieved just that, the room glowed, no harsh overhead lighting was needed. The photos really don’t do it justice. The one word our guests used over and over again to describe the way everything looked was ‘magical’. Even the staff at the venue said they had never seen the venue look that way before and the following day, staff who weren’t working our wedding told us they had been sneaking in to have a look because they had all heard how beautiful and different it looked. That would never have happened without Claire and her team. They went above and beyond and did things that we wouldn’t have expected them to do and we truly feel like they are friends now. Claire knew exactly what would work and made our vision a reality, which made our day absolutely perfect. We only wish we could have had an extra day to enjoy it all for longer.

Creative venue were absolutely fantastic. My wife had a great vision of how she wanted our wedding to look and Claire and the team made it come to life exactly how we wanted. Our wedding stationery was designed better than we could have imagined, we were kept up to date throughout the process and we couldn't have been happier. We can't recommend Creative Venue highly enough.

I would highly recommend Claire and the team at Creative Venue! They recently provided decorations for our wedding at The Gardens in Yalding. Everything was so beautiful and our guests loved it! We're so happy we chose The Oak Barn as our wedding venue! We got married here in August 2023. We fell in love with the venue from the first viewing. The setting is stunning, and the barn is modern but still has a rustic feel, which was perfect for us! The cottages on site are also beautiful. The team at The Oak Barn are a wonderful bunch - incredibly helpful and make you feel at ease throughout the whole process. I want to give a special thanks to Chrystelle, who was amazing in the run up to the wedding and on the day. She made sure everything was running smoothly and really kept us calm! It was one of the most magical days of our lives and we couldn't have wished for a more perfect venue.

We had our wedding in October 2024 at the Oak Barn Frame Farm and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue! From the moment we looked around the barn, we both knew it was the place for us. Having 3 barns meant we were able to keep our 50 guests entertained and still have beautiful spaces. We weren’t sure what to expect with dry-hire, but the barn is so beautiful it could be kept minimal if you’re on a budget, but being able to personalise it to how we wanted it made it extra special for us. The open fields, waterfall and sheep meant we got some amazing photos (from our photographer Matt Birchall) as well as the best memories. Chrystelle couldn’t have been more helpful, from her communication in planning, to the materials provided in the run up to the wedding, and her excellent organisation on the day meaning our wedding ran seamlessly and we didn’t have to worry about anything. The list of trusted suppliers was great too, and we used quite a few who were also great. The accommodation on site was an added bonus for us and family, and all of our friends and family commented on what a perfect venue we’d chosen. Being environmentally focused was also a huge bonus for us, as it really aligned with our values. Thank you to all at the Oak Barn for giving us the happiest day!

Words cannot begin to express how fundamental Home Gurr’own were in making our wedding day so magical. From the very beginning Nicci was amazing in helping us outline how the catering would look and feel on our day. From the very beginning, the communication from both Nicci and Sophie on design, quotes and ideas was second to none; no query was too big or too small and they accommodated every fantastical idea that we had. Nicci is a culinary genius! Our menu was divine; one that we could never have imagined, with scotch eggs, mac and cheese, lamb, potatoes, chargrilled vegetables and pizzas of dreams! Not to mention the canapes! We suggested the dessert course in a canape style and even though Nicci said they’d never really done it that way before, she didn’t hesitate for a moment and absolutely excelled!! We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting day; it gave us a real insight to how the wedding day would be. Being invited to the small holding for it gave us a real sense of Home Gurr’own – it was exactly what we were looking for, a local supplier, sustainable and authentic. All this shone through in the menu and food throughout! As expected, on our wedding day, the food and drink were truly incredible, everything was executed so perfectly! Many of our guests commented on how good the food was, enjoying beautifully presented canapes and a stunning wedding breakfast, all of which looked as good as they tasted. We were blown away! It wouldn’t do Home Gurr’own justice to focus solely on the food and drink. While Nicci creates magic in the kitchen, Sophie brings everything outside it together! Sophie coordinated our day to an absolute tee, bringing our wedding to life! She worked to understand the aesthetics and vibe we wanted for our ENTIRE day, not just the catering aspects. Her creativity and imagination really helped us with the bigger picture of our day as well as refining the finer details. Her support was fundamental in helping us create the most beautiful day! The day before our wedding Sophie and the team laid out our tables for us with our décor, it looked exactly how we imagined, laid with precision and no detail forgotten. We were lost for words when we saw the barn, it was extraordinary – and that was just the beginning! On our wedding day, it was evident that Sophie knew every detail of our day like she’d lived it a hundred times before! Everything ran on time, no detail was missed, every problem was solved in minutes and she went above and beyond to make sure Dan and I had everything we needed. If there was an issue or we needed something, Sophie was there every time. She was always there but we didn’t realise she was – she blended into our day seamlessly! We had canapes and drinks brought to us, we had queues to move into the next part of our day and she coordinated the suppliers, ensuring they had everything they needed to do the best job they could too. So many of our wedding guests commented on how excellent the whole service team were throughout the day - they're a true credit to Nicci and Sophie! It’s difficult for us to put into words the impact Home Gurr’own had on our day – until you’ve experienced dedication and devotion on this level, you can never quite understand it! For a year, Nicci and Sophie worked tirelessly to understand the vibe we wanted for our wedding and our likes and dislikes and they executed it perfectly. Home Gurr'own catered our wedding in July and all we can say is wow! We spoke to so many guests that said the food was the best they have ever tasted at a wedding, and we can attest to that too. It was incredible. Every dish and canapé was absolutely perfect and their were absolute mountains of food. How they are able to pull all that off in a tent is absolutely beyond us, but wow. Incredible. We were also lucky enough to use their flower plot for almost all of our flowers and were absolutely blown away by the variety and quality of them, there was so many! The staff on the day were all fantastic. So many people have said how attentive they all were - with water, wine and food topped up before anyone could notice and probably the most cheerful and fun evening food giver outers we've ever seen. Incredibly professional and attentive. Particular thanks to Bryan who managed to spot literally every time either of us didn't have a drink and brought us one. And finally, Sophie. She was just incredible. She managed to put us at absolute ease which meant we could just fully enjoy the day. From helping us set up the most perfect set up on Friday evening, to cueing our MCs, and adapting our playlists when we ran significantly over - she was perfect. I'm sure it was quite annoying how late we were getting things sorted on Friday, and how massively we overran on Saturday, but she genuinely made us both believe that it was the easiest and most simple thing to resolve in the world. She is a complete pro and we are so thankful that we had your skills (and calming words) to keep the show on the road. On the day, and in the entire run up to the day, Nicci and Sophie were both on hand as often as we needed for advice and support in planning the best day - and we loved working with them. We are so pleased we chose them, and you should too!!

I cannot express our thanks to Sophie and Nikki for making our wedding amazing! They made our day so special everything went without a hitch and the food…… AMAZING! We are very much into food and really wanted all the food to be grown locally! Every mouthful was incredible and our guests can’t stop talking about it! Brilliant company! (To say the least) I booked these gorgeous chairs a few days before Christmas. The chairs were dropped off on Christmas eve. I couldn't be more grateful especially after booking at such short notice. EMW really saved from a tone of stress. I ordered some food for my 30th birthday gathering, and was very pleased with the food. All our guests loved the fried rice and the puff puff was gone very quickly! We are looking to order regular meals as well in the near future, as we’re very happy with the service & food.

The EMW team kept in constant communication with me in the lead up to my event and presented the various options in which I could personalise my event. They took care of everything from the catering, to dj hire to set-up and decorations. In the end, I was surprised at how well the event turned out and it exceeded my expectations. My guests were able to testify to this. For this I am most grateful to the EMV team for all they have done!

Well these guys formed my wedding. I found them, my rings and my stationary through there show room! I wanted an Autumn wonderland and they delivered! They came in the morning and when I went to check on them they needed no direction they knew what they were doing I could go upstairs and enjoy my morning stress free. When I came down for my ceremony I couldn’t believe it was the same room it looked amazing. The colours, the attention to detail, the neatness!!! Everyone of my guests were in awe and took so many photos infront of our arch! These guys know weddings. Book them tell them your vision and they will make it come true. I didn’t have a clue what flowers I wanted and let them have complete control and my bouquet and the boys pocket flowers were stunning! Chic were amazing! We hired them for our wedding flowers and they delivered. The consultation was perfect as Tammy listened to our vision of what we wanted. We were also able to adapt our choices as we started to have better visions as we engaged with other suppliers and saw various inspiration. The flowers lasted ages after the wedding, so the enjoyment could continue after the big day. I absoultely loved my bouquet with all the special flowers and it was great to be able to have one of my favourite flowers in there even though it was only at the start of the season. Chic arranged the flowers for my wedding at Hayne House and created the most beautiful bouquets and archway. They listened to my many and ever changing ideas, helping to make it a reality and put it all together. They even created mistmatched bouquets in colours that were sentimental to each bridesmaid, yet tied in with my bouquet and including all the colours and flowers that I liked. Chic Weddings did the bouquets, buttonholes/lapels & venue styling for my daughter & new son-in-law's wedding on 20th July 2024. The top table flowers & hand tied bouquets on each table were gorgeous. Lots of comments about the bride & bridesmaids bouquets which were absolutely stunning. The tables had silver crackle vases & tea light holders on them, & we had a sheer curtain backdrop against the window behind the top table to frame it. I recently completed the 1:1 course in Wedding Planning & Business marketing. I was very impressed with how the course was structured. I was given 8 books which I read before the 1:1 session which I found to be incredibly detailed & informative. The 1:1 session was engaging and I really enjoyed Pippa's teaching style. I found Pippa to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and transparent about the wedding industry and how I could work to develop my business and succeed. I really appreciated the time Pippa took to help me work on my branding and develop a realistic business plan. I would definitely recommend the WPS and I feel confident to begin my journey as a wedding planner.

I attended the course in May 2023. It was fantastic! Pippa and her team are so knowledgeable and you learn so much. I can't recommend this course enough if you're serious about a career in weddings planning. I did so much research into courses and you won't find a more comprehensive, more enjoyable course.

Evoke helped me organise the disco, photo booth some drapes and extra lights for the venue. Emma got everything perfectly timed so each part was installed at a set time on the day so it was minimally disruptive to the wedding party, the draps add that extra special touch to the room, the mirror photo booth was a major and DJ was spot on. All in all Evoke events added those finishing touches to what was a memorable special occasion. Highly recommended and when my other daughter gets married I will use Evoke events again. Thanks Emma💕

Emma was absolutely incredible from start to finish!
