Kirsty is beyond brilliant! She is so down to earth & makes you feel so comfortable & at ease. I had an appointment on Sunday & said yes to what I thought was my dress. I had a panic that night & messaged her the next day & she got me in the following day to retry it on. I changed my dress to the first dress she originally picked for me, so that in itself shows she knows what she's doing. On Saturday I had the pleasure of working as the celebrant for Amy and Alex’s wedding, with Sian from Busy Brides Wedding Planners, and I must say what a joy it was. Prior to Amy and Alex’s wedding, Sian contacted me and other vendors, introducing herself and setting out detailed but easy to follow information about the day. She provided maps as to where to park, passes for the vendors for easy parking, and a schedule for the days event. Upon my arrival she took time away from her busy schedule to show me around and to introduce me to the venue staff who would coordinate the music. We had an informal briefing to ensure everyone was singing from the same hymn sheet with regards to entrance music, certificate signing and the bride and groom exiting the room. It was seamless!! Sian took the time to assist me with the positioning of the ceremony area for the best pictures and even took some pictures for me in preparation. The day ran so smoothly. I must say it was a delight to work with her and I hope there will be future events that we can collaborate with. Thank you very much

After having a few virtual calls with various wedding planners, we immediately knew Sian was the right fit for us. Her can-do attitude and openness are fantastic, and she provided us with a wealth of great recommendations and excellent options for a variety of suppliers. She truly considers every detail. Absolutely stunning venue! Tucked away in the countryside. Could not of asked for a better venue and host! Had our wedding here on the 25th June 2024. From initial booking to the day off Laura (host) was absolutely fantastic, great communication from day one, and the support on the day. Highly recommend!

We just had our wedding here. Laura and Sarah, and their team were all incredibly lovely, the dogs were very gentle and came to say hello. But they made sure we were all OK and helped loads with setting up etc. I cannot recommend this stunning venue enough!

Laura's support and assistance throughout the day and pre-wedding day communication was really great. She helped ensure that our suppliers were well-coordinated for setup and teardown. Despite the rain leading up to the big day, the sun came out and our wedding day was perfect. It was very special to be married in a venue that was beautiful as it is. Charlotte was just incredible from start to finish helping us on our wedding day. In the build up to the ‘big day’ she provided us with so many helpful tips that we hadn’t yet thought of and dealt with all our suppliers so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. On our actual day Charlotte was a superstar and ensured we could relax in full confidence not worrying about a thing. Any hiccups were sorted within moments and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to run our day. Charlotte is not only a professional, keeping everyone and everything running smoothly, but a lovely person who was a joy to have with us on the day. We could not have had our day without her support. Everyone needs a Charlotte for their wedding! Thank you again for helping to make it so special for us.

I don’t even know where to start in saying thank you to Charlotte and her team for helping us on our wedding day. From start to finish, Charlotte made sure every single detail was checked and looked after. Throughout the whole build up, she was reassuring and positive - putting us totally at ease. On the day, she ensured everything was set up to the highest quality and that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. There is no way we could of had our day run without a glitch without Charlotte and her team! I cannot thank her or recommend highly enough!

Where do I begin?! Charlotte and Katie were amazing from the day we met them! Throughout the planning process they were on hand to answer any questions, gave advice on ideas and provided us with recommendations of suppliers (which we used and loved!). They shared our enthusiasm for the day, complimented each other with the knowledge, skills and expertise they both brought and were two amazing ladies who we felt we could completely trust with the planning and running of our special day. They were brilliant setting up our venue the day before and morning of the wedding (and packing up at the end of the night too!), were busy liaising with suppliers, setting up and dressing areas and were a genuine friend to the bride during stressful moments! During the day, Charlotte and Katie did not stop! They had planned the day perfectly and even with the unpredictable British weather (heavy rain in August!!) the changes they made to the running of the day seemed effortless and unfazed them. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, so much so that I wouldn’t even know where to begin to list everything! They both really understood the vision we had for the day, were honest with what would and wouldn’t work and gave us ideas we would have never thought of. Charlotte and Katie were both professional and a friend at the same time. We are so grateful and felt very lucky to have them be a part of our special day. There is not one thing we would change about our day and so much of that is down to these superhuman ladies!

The hardest thing about this review will be keeping it short. We cannot say enough about Charlotte and Katie. Their enthusiasm was there right from the start, from the very first meeting. They finished our thoughts and sentences and we had an immediate reassurance that we were in capable hands. We are very detailed orientated, we had done most of the planning ourselves before we brought Charlotte and Katie on board and that’s probably our biggest regret, not finding them sooner and bringing them on board earlier. Their experience, attention to detail and organisational skills were self-evident and they asked about details that no one else had thought of except us. Other than us (the bide and groom) they were the only people to have EVERY single detail of the big day (and remember them). We knew we could completely trust them to manage the set up and running of our special day. They understood our whole vision and the part that every supplier played in our day. We can honestly say that we had brilliant suppliers, but there were so many jobs that fell outside of the venue/ florist/ stylist etc that without Black Sheep, those jobs wouldn’t have got done and our day wouldn’t have been as special as it was. The day before the wedding, we realised that there were DIY jobs that we weren’t going to get done, so we asked the girls if they could do them and they agreed without hesitation. We felt guilty at the amount we asked them to do, but they really took it all in their stride, they were completely unfazed. No idea how they did it all in the time. They did not stop working from the day before our wedding, all the way through our wedding, right through to every bag, crate, box and fairly light being packed up. They even kept the staff at the venue on their toes, prompting them to clear plates. No job was ever too big or too small for Charlotte and Katie. They were always there when they were needed and they made it look effortless, but we know it absolutely wasn’t. The wedding industry can be greedy and grasping, but Katie and Charlotte give everything they’ve got and then a bit more. They were determined to make our day as stress free and perfect as possible for us. They went above and beyond what we expected, even our guests have commented on how much they did throughout the day. Katie & Charlotte won’t let you down, the relationship between them is special and they are a formidable team. Nothing we can say in any review will express our gratitude for all they did for us, we are so sad that we don’t get to do the wedding planning over again, except this time with Black Sheep involved from the beginning.

Loved this venue and didn't realise till I got there that there was also a separate barn with a bar and a dance floor too with a stage and lots of twinkle lights. Affordable to get married if on a budget and the venue is really nice. The only thing that would make it 5 stars is if they could get a marriage licence so you could get married legally here. You can have a celebrant service here and they also have an outside gazebo with speakers. Low deposit to hold date which is fantastic and you can decorate the venue to how you would like. They are also going to be making this venue even nicer in the next year or so too as they are adding extras like a themed background wall etc.. 👍

The Red Barn is great venue. The staff are so friendly. And has a good parking place. I would recommend it.

Absolutely beautiful venue and sweet atmosphere. The food was all excellent, as well as the service. We were here for a birthday party and really enjoyed ourselves. One suggestion I have would be to create a separate, designated, covered smoking area. While people were not smoking inside the buildings, the walkway between the 2 main ones was crowded with smokers, which was a problem for me. I'm highly allergic to cigarette smoke, so had to hold my breath just to walk through. This was doable, but uncomfortable, to be sure. We still both really enjoyed the event and the atmosphere of the Red Barn.

Stunning wedding venue. I had such a nice time here for a wedding, I honestly can't wait to go back. Very well run, stress free and amazing location :) We even had the chance to drive a few minutes over to the cliff tops for a few portraits, insanely awesome
