Being a wedding photographer myself, being spoiled with all the gorgeous countryside, the super friendly team and some of the most scrummy food, always makes the Old Kent Barn such an amazing venue to photograph at. With so many different spots to explore for pictures, it's always quite the treat, and a space where I just love photographing wedding stories! A fantastic venue!!

Myself and my husband married at the Old Kent Barn in October and had the best day of our lives. The staff were amazing throughout the whole process from securing a date all the way to end day after the big day. Our wedding coordinator in particular Claire was just amazing and so helpful and resourceful. As well as all this the venue was stunning everywhere you look! We would highly recommend the venue to anyone!

We got married here in March and it was the most amazing wedding! The team here are just incredible from the minute we booked to the very end of the party they were so helpful and really nice to work with. They made planning the wedding so easy. The food is incredible and the drinks are reasonably priced. Every single one of our guests told us how incredible the venue was. Plus there is accommodation on site for yourselves and a handful of your wedding party which is another plus. Shoutout to our coordinator Chloe who was lovely! Best day ever!

I photographed a wedding here last summer and I'm not surprised they have so many outstanding reviews. The staff are so well organised and this combined with everything need being on the same site, means the day runs seamlessly from waking up until the final drink! What a Blessing she was! She handled everything exceptionally well from the ceremony to the reception and kept me calm throughout the day. There was nothing she could not do, timely and professional from start to finish my wedding day ran smoothly and she was always on hand to assist me if I needed anything from her. Blessing is a fantastic event planner - especially for Nigerian weddings since she knows the needs of guests and she’s able to deal with issues as they come up and fix them on hand. My wife and I knew we needed a lot of help in planning our wedding because of the huge number of guests we were expecting so we interviewed several planners but Once we met Blessing we knew immediately she was the one to help plan our wedding. She was beyond helpful throughout the planning process. She always got back to us immediately and there was no question she couldn't answer. She also helped to get the best and most affordable wedding vendors for us. On our wedding day she was everywhere solving every problem and making the day perfect. Also the wedding decorations she setup for the hall were absolutely beautiful to the point where people were coming up to my wife to ask for Blessing's contact details. After the wedding she stayed forever making sure every last item was packed up. I'm telling you there's nothing Blessing didn't do. She has truly become family and words aren't enough to recommend her enough. If I could I would actually have another wedding (with my wife of course) just to experience the magic of Blé.

Blessing was the wedding planner for my friends wedding, I was a bridesmaid and Blessing did an absolutely amazing job. She catered for everyone from the bride, to the family, to us the bridal party. Everything came out beautifully and the bride was super pleased with everything. Very professional at the face of adversity also. Handled everything very well on the day as well as the whole weekend (destination wedding in Italy). Would definitely recommend Blessing to anyone!

Blessing coordinated my wedding day in May 2018, from finalising the decorations of our reception, to understanding our wishes for the day, making our delicious wedding cake and finally making it all happen by contacting the suppliers and providing a schedule. The hardest thing about this review will be keeping it short. We cannot say enough about Charlotte and Katie. Their enthusiasm was there right from the start, from the very first meeting. They finished our thoughts and sentences and we had an immediate reassurance that we were in capable hands. We are very detailed orientated, we had done most of the planning ourselves before we brought Charlotte and Katie on board and that’s probably our biggest regret, not finding them sooner and bringing them on board earlier. Their experience, attention to detail and organisational skills were self-evident and they asked about details that no one else had thought of except us. Other than us (the bide and groom) they were the only people to have EVERY single detail of the big day (and remember them). We knew we could completely trust them to manage the set up and running of our special day. They understood our whole vision and the part that every supplier played in our day. We can honestly say that we had brilliant suppliers, but there were so many jobs that fell outside of the venue/ florist/ stylist etc that without Black Sheep, those jobs wouldn’t have got done and our day wouldn’t have been as special as it was. The day before the wedding, we realised that there were DIY jobs that we weren’t going to get done, so we asked the girls if they could do them and they agreed without hesitation. We felt guilty at the amount we asked them to do, but they really took it all in their stride, they were completely unfazed. No idea how they did it all in the time. They did not stop working from the day before our wedding, all the way through our wedding, right through to every bag, crate, box and fairly light being packed up. They even kept the staff at the venue on their toes, prompting them to clear plates. No job was ever too big or too small for Charlotte and Katie. They were always there when they were needed and they made it look effortless, but we know it absolutely wasn’t. The wedding industry can be greedy and grasping, but Katie and Charlotte give everything they’ve got and then a bit more. They were determined to make our day as stress free and perfect as possible for us. They went above and beyond what we expected, even our guests have commented on how much they did throughout the day. Katie & Charlotte won’t let you down, the relationship between them is special and they are a formidable team. Nothing we can say in any review will express our gratitude for all they did for us, we are so sad that we don’t get to do the wedding planning over again, except this time with Black Sheep involved from the beginning.

Where do I begin?! Charlotte and Katie were amazing from the day we met them! Throughout the planning process they were on hand to answer any questions, gave advice on ideas and provided us with recommendations of suppliers (which we used and loved!). They shared our enthusiasm for the day, complimented each other with the knowledge, skills and expertise they both brought and were two amazing ladies who we felt we could completely trust with the planning and running of our special day. They were brilliant setting up our venue the day before and morning of the wedding (and packing up at the end of the night too!), were busy liaising with suppliers, setting up and dressing areas and were a genuine friend to the bride during stressful moments! During the day, Charlotte and Katie did not stop! They had planned the day perfectly and even with the unpredictable British weather (heavy rain in August!!) the changes they made to the running of the day seemed effortless and unfazed them. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, so much so that I wouldn’t even know where to begin to list everything! They both really understood the vision we had for the day, were honest with what would and wouldn’t work and gave us ideas we would have never thought of. Charlotte and Katie were both professional and a friend at the same time. We are so grateful and felt very lucky to have them be a part of our special day. There is not one thing we would change about our day and so much of that is down to these superhuman ladies!

Charlotte was just incredible from start to finish helping us on our wedding day. In the build up to the ‘big day’ she provided us with so many helpful tips that we hadn’t yet thought of and dealt with all our suppliers so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. On our actual day Charlotte was a superstar and ensured we could relax in full confidence not worrying about a thing. Any hiccups were sorted within moments and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to run our day. Charlotte is not only a professional, keeping everyone and everything running smoothly, but a lovely person who was a joy to have with us on the day. Mulberry provided the decor for our wedding in June this year at Highley Manor and we were absolutely blown away with how gorgeous the set up was and had multiple compliments from our guests saying how it looked like a fairytale. The team were amazing to work with throughout, so professional and responsive and full of amazing ideas. We really enjoyed our visits to the workshop, where they have so many items for inspiration it's like a cave of wonders! Thank you so much for all your help, would definitely recommend to anyone!

My fiance and I had the most wonderful experience with Alice at the Mulberry showroom. We highly recommend going for the FREE(!) 2 hour session. During this we were guided through designing our table decor and viewing the huge variety of options for the rest of the wedding day. We are so pleased with our decisions and feel that we are in the safest hands with the Mulberry team!! The biggest thank you from Jody and Matt x

Update: We had our wedding on 7.5.24 and Mulberry brought our woodland/elf like theme together. All the decorations were flawless and we had so so so many compliments on the decoration at the wedding. Mulberry are also super helpful and will give you honest advice. As they are friends of the Ravenswood they are able to go in the night before and set up which made it super easy for the bride to go in on the day and add the little extra personal touches. Can not recommend this company enough (we will add more photos once we have are professional photos back) thank you for helping us make our dream come true! Attended the showroom for wedding prep today and brilliant service and extremely helpful! Definitely lots we didn’t consider and extremely helpful brining our natural woodland theme to life. Definitely recommend the consultation and looking forward to seeing it all on the day!

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for styling our wedding venue, it looked absolutely fantastic and made the already gorgeous venue look even better! You guys were a dream to work with and so helpful and kind throughout the whole wedding planning. Everything came together so well, it felt seamless! It was also so exciting turning up to the venue in the morning seeing it all ready, I felt like I had an exclusive sneak peek!! The showroom visits beforehand were also incredibly helpful to help us bring our vision to life and made picking and choosing everything a lot easier. It was also incredibly helpful having a sample of the napkins so we could take it to our other suppliers and match our colour scheme perfectly!

We just had our wedding here. Laura and Sarah, and their team were all incredibly lovely, the dogs were very gentle and came to say hello. But they made sure we were all OK and helped loads with setting up etc. I cannot recommend this stunning venue enough!

What an incredible experience! My husband and I got married last Saturday and we had the best day of our lives! The venue is stunning, it offers a blank canvas where you are free to use your imagination and while it takes some planning, it made the day so much more special for everyone. Laura the venue coordinator was amazing. She was our support leading up to the day and on the day making sure it ran smoothly which it did without a hitch. My only complaint is that we didn't go for next day departure where we could camp. It would have made the family/friend fun last longer. Thank you for an unforgettable experience

Amazing service from Kent Events…. We contacted Jay back in January to organise my birthday party in July..he arranged marquee, toilets, 360 photo, catering (bbq-the burgers were insane), music, sax and bongos which were brilliant. Everyone had an amazing night.. they really took the stress out of organising a party… highly recommend them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tori and Caroline are amazing! We felt so reassured to have their support in the period leading up to our wedding and during the weekend itself (we opted for wedding coordination rather than full planning). They coordinated the set up and take town perfectly, but it was invaluable having them there on the wedding day itself. They kept everything running smoothly and on time, and helped with the many things that happen that you just don’t expect! They are lovely to have around and fitted in so well with our families who said they could have been mistaken for guests! Ultimately, they allowed our day to just be about us and our celebration with friends and family - weren’t concerned with logistics at all! Thank you (and Freya) so much - we appreciated it so much!

WOW and THANK YOU! Tori and Caroline helped us plan a wedding from scratch, as it was at a family house. We were honestly blown away by how amazing the two of them were. They guided us expertly through the planning and supported us to make all our random requests a reality. All of this made it the most amazing day that really felt like an amazing culmination of all the things we love so much. All of the suppliers they recommended and worked with were so unbelievably brilliant, and it made the whole process so easy knowing and trusting that these two were were just total pros and really all we had was to say ‘yes that sounds great!!’ to everything they suggested. And then the week itself, they were both such kind, thoughtful calming influences at a time when we really needed it. They went above an beyond for us, including spending 15 minutes in the catering tent at 1AM fixing my dress that had been trodden on... and baking us brownies. So thank you so much for making it such a smooth memorable day. The reviews from guests were pretty darn good, with some seasoned wedding goers declaring it ‘top tier’ and the best wedding they had ever been to. We can't recommend these two enough!! Best wedding decision we made :)

I have known Victoria (Tory) for a few years now and have been lucky enough to work with her on 2 weddings as well as socialise with her through our Industry circle. Victoria is one of the most approachable and down to earth “Power House” females I know within the Weddings & Events industry. She has such a personable way about her that lends itself to the most anxious of couples when planning a wedding. What I particularly like about Victoria’s style of work is that she be-spokes her suppliers to certain couples personalities enabling a seemless fit which is so important for a couples wedding day to run smoothly. 2 of my favourite Brides and Venues have been whilst working with Victoria. @euridgemanor and @wildernessreserve She also seems to have weddings on gloriously hot sunny days oddly enough!

WOW! When we decided to have a small wedding we were adamant we didn’t want to compromise on the aesthetic of the day. Sam you are a true visionary. This brand and the women that share their talents to execute bringing together your dream day are truly remarkable. The venue is stunning, the organisation and communication was first class right from the start, we booked it immediately on our first visit. Tania and Sam made everything so easy and enjoyable for us. The castle is so magical and the staff so welcoming going over and beyond our expectations. They were happy to accommodate our requests (we wanted our friend to conduct the ceremony who is a registrar). And to have our dog with us - he had a great wedding day! We had many WOW moments especially in the little details (roaring log fire /home made rose petal confetti / raspberries in our champagne) the elopement team made our day the best! The cake , flowers, decorations and food were exceptional. All our friends and family have loved seeing Fleur’s amazing photographs of our 50 shades of pink elopement at Westenhanger Castle 🏰 . We would highly recommend the elopement service they offer.

Having Rosie as part of our wedding day (and the months leading up to it) was one of the best decisions we made. She was so calm, composed and “on it” throughout the whole process that we couldn’t help but feel that way too! She is incredibly knowledgeable and just bubbling with amazing ideas. Having a marquee wedding on our family farm, we really appreciated her expert eye but also her focus on the environment and sustainability. My only regret is that we discovered Rosie about halfway through our planning - I only wish we could have worked with her from the beginning.
