Myself and my husband married at the Old Kent Barn in October and had the best day of our lives. The staff were amazing throughout the whole process from securing a date all the way to end day after the big day. Our wedding coordinator in particular Claire was just amazing and so helpful and resourceful. As well as all this the venue was stunning everywhere you look! We would highly recommend the venue to anyone!

What is there not to love at the Old Kent Barn?! Such a beautiful wedding venue in Kent. I have had the pleasure of photographing multiple weddings at this stunning venue. The gardens are beautiful and perfect for photography.To top it all off the Old Kent Barn team are so fun and friendly! I really cannot wait to come back :)

I photographed a wedding here last summer and I'm not surprised they have so many outstanding reviews. The staff are so well organised and this combined with everything need being on the same site, means the day runs seamlessly from waking up until the final drink! Being a wedding photographer myself, being spoiled with all the gorgeous countryside, the super friendly team and some of the most scrummy food, always makes the Old Kent Barn such an amazing venue to photograph at. With so many different spots to explore for pictures, it's always quite the treat, and a space where I just love photographing wedding stories! A fantastic venue!!

My husband and I can not thank Blessing enough for making our wedding day so special and so well managed co-ordinated. Blessing is an amazing Event Planner / Designer. She has excellent organisational skills, is very professional and has a large range of contacts which is a must when planning a wedding. Blessing supported us in choosing the wedding venue, wedding attire including my dress, photographer, music, catering, flowers and hair and make up. In addition, she assisted us in negotiating prices with suppliers. The investment in a wedding planner was the best decision we ever made. We had a fantastic stress free day and Blessing was with us from start to finish. All our guests were very complimentary of the service provided by Blessing. What a Blessing she was! She handled everything exceptionally well from the ceremony to the reception and kept me calm throughout the day. There was nothing she could not do, timely and professional from start to finish my wedding day ran smoothly and she was always on hand to assist me if I needed anything from her. Blessing was the wedding planner for my friends wedding, I was a bridesmaid and Blessing did an absolutely amazing job. She catered for everyone from the bride, to the family, to us the bridal party. Everything came out beautifully and the bride was super pleased with everything. Very professional at the face of adversity also. Handled everything very well on the day as well as the whole weekend (destination wedding in Italy). Would definitely recommend Blessing to anyone!

My wife and I knew we needed a lot of help in planning our wedding because of the huge number of guests we were expecting so we interviewed several planners but Once we met Blessing we knew immediately she was the one to help plan our wedding. She was beyond helpful throughout the planning process. She always got back to us immediately and there was no question she couldn't answer. She also helped to get the best and most affordable wedding vendors for us. On our wedding day she was everywhere solving every problem and making the day perfect. Also the wedding decorations she setup for the hall were absolutely beautiful to the point where people were coming up to my wife to ask for Blessing's contact details. After the wedding she stayed forever making sure every last item was packed up. I'm telling you there's nothing Blessing didn't do. She has truly become family and words aren't enough to recommend her enough. If I could I would actually have another wedding (with my wife of course) just to experience the magic of Blé.

From the moment we met Clare we knew we wanted Touchays to be the caterer for our wedding day. Little did we know just how important that decision was! With only 8 months to go before the wedding we ran into complications with our original venue, Clare was very supportive and reassuring and did everything she could to make it work for us, however we were eventually forced to move to a different venue. With only 6 months to go we found our new venue, although it was outside of Touchay’s usual area, Clare did everything within her power to make this work and eventually ended up travelling all the way down with her team to our venue. Throughout the whole process Clare and her team were nothing short of excellent in every way. They really understood and embraced the whole style and vision of our wedding we had in mind for our wedding and helped us to design a tailored menu that was really special to us. On the day itself every member of team Touchay was extremely professional, friendly, helpful and super hardworking. The food itself was simply out of this world - it was so tasty and presented amazingly and there was always a generous amount of food being passed around at all times. We really cannot say thank you enough to Clare and her brilliant team, your service and food is on another level!! We cannot put into words just how grateful we are to you, for everything!! If there’s anyone out there right now who is considering whether to book Touchays for their wedding day, DO IT!! Clare and the Touchays team catered our wedding in August and they were absolutely incredible and the food was amazing. Clare was extremely helpful from the offset and had an incredible attention to detail and excellent ideas which made our day extra special. Clare and her team at Touchays catered for our wedding breakfast and evening food for our wedding in August 2021. From the get go, Clare was incredibly professional. She was willing to adapt to our budget, was an absolute star when we had to postpone due to Covid, and was always happy to make changes to our menu. The tasting she provided was excellent - the food was high quality, presented beautifully and Clare was just so welcoming and friendly too. Our guests really enjoyed the wedding breakfast - they highlighted the mini butetrnut squash pies and macarons in particular. We had pizza in the evening where Clare let us choose our favourite toppings, and it was delicious. Clare was incredibly flexible when it came to adapting to the various dietary requirements we had as well. Thank you so much team Touchays!

We loved Clare’s passion for food and styling from the moment we first spoke with her and she helped us build the most amazing wedding breakfast and canapés that were totally unique to us. Nothing was too much trouble and we really felt that she cared about our wedding and that we were happy with the food. Working with Emma Warburton, Founder and MD of Evoke Events, was a breath of fresh air and a real pleasure from beginning to end. Emma and her team provided an exceptional service for this high profile event discerning exactly the vision we had in mind with fresh ideas, being very pro-active, fast acting precise decisions when required and nothing was too much trouble. Evoke helped me organise the disco, photo booth some drapes and extra lights for the venue. Emma got everything perfectly timed so each part was installed at a set time on the day so it was minimally disruptive to the wedding party, the draps add that extra special touch to the room, the mirror photo booth was a major and DJ was spot on. All in all Evoke events added those finishing touches to what was a memorable special occasion. Highly recommended and when my other daughter gets married I will use Evoke events again. Thanks Emma💕

Look no further for your party planner. Emma produced an unforgettable night to celebrate our daughter's 21st for 130 guests. Unanimous feedback was "the best party ever". Emma helped us with hiring waiting staff for our DIY wedding and after patiently discussing our needs, she provided us with an amazing team of four. Arriving on site whilst we were in our ceremony, they worked unsupervised to provide an excellent service to our guests who were full of compliments for them. We had brought some flowers back with us from the church and they were incredibly helpful in artfully displaying them around the marquee. Where do I begin?! Charlotte and Katie were amazing from the day we met them! Throughout the planning process they were on hand to answer any questions, gave advice on ideas and provided us with recommendations of suppliers (which we used and loved!). They shared our enthusiasm for the day, complimented each other with the knowledge, skills and expertise they both brought and were two amazing ladies who we felt we could completely trust with the planning and running of our special day. They were brilliant setting up our venue the day before and morning of the wedding (and packing up at the end of the night too!), were busy liaising with suppliers, setting up and dressing areas and were a genuine friend to the bride during stressful moments! During the day, Charlotte and Katie did not stop! They had planned the day perfectly and even with the unpredictable British weather (heavy rain in August!!) the changes they made to the running of the day seemed effortless and unfazed them. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, so much so that I wouldn’t even know where to begin to list everything! They both really understood the vision we had for the day, were honest with what would and wouldn’t work and gave us ideas we would have never thought of. Charlotte and Katie were both professional and a friend at the same time. We are so grateful and felt very lucky to have them be a part of our special day. There is not one thing we would change about our day and so much of that is down to these superhuman ladies!

Charlotte was just incredible from start to finish helping us on our wedding day. In the build up to the ‘big day’ she provided us with so many helpful tips that we hadn’t yet thought of and dealt with all our suppliers so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. On our actual day Charlotte was a superstar and ensured we could relax in full confidence not worrying about a thing. Any hiccups were sorted within moments and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to run our day. What a stunning house! I recently stayed here with a group of 12 of us and it was perfect! We were welcomed by Ronnie the house manager as given a tour of the house and its history. Every room has been so lovingly renovated and is such a delight to stay in. Super comfortable beds and gorgeous bathrooms in every room! We had a fabulous dinner in the dining room, and the whole team took care of us so well! The house is lovely and warm, has stunning views from every window, a Sonos system and large wine cooler making for those amazing added touches. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We got married at Goodnestone on 3 June 2023. We had the most perfect day thank you to the venue itself, Ronnie (the house manager) and The Wedding Dolls (the day coordinators who come with the wedding package). The grounds themselves are absolutely stunning. The house is a perfect venue to enjoy the weekend with loved ones and to get ready. There are multiple options on ceremony location and the new Orangery is beautiful. We started the weekend with a BBQ for those staying at the house (cooked by our caterer Olivia at Just One Cook), had a fantastic wedding on the Saturday and made the most of Ronnie’s services for a cooked breakfast on the Sunday. The venue itself was incredible, but made all the more special by the fantastic service we received across the weekend. We couldn’t have wished for anymore! Thank you!

My husband surprised me with a weekend stay at Goodnestone Park for my 30th birthday where our friends and family joined us for a weekend of festivities. It was the most perfect venue for such an occasion, the house is beautifully grand while not feeling imposing. Every single room has been decorated sympathetically to the era of the house itself but with some stunning modern twists to keep it feeling fresh. I was blown away by the attention to detail even in terms of the magazines on display coordinating with the decor of the room! The grounds are impeccably kept, waking up in the morning and looking out the window was an absolute pleasure. Ronnie the house manager was a delight to work with and made us feel like we were at home and the local cafe serve the most stunning toasties and hot chocolates. Amazing service from Kent Events…. We contacted Jay back in January to organise my birthday party in July..he arranged marquee, toilets, 360 photo, catering (bbq-the burgers were insane), music, sax and bongos which were brilliant. I’ve worked with Kent Event Packages on a number of occasions and have always found them to be organised, friendly and professional, always putting on a fantastic show and meeting the client’s brief.
