Dined at the Secret Garden this evening with a group of 12. Talking with the owner; you’ll discover the story of how the Secret Garden came about. Hard work and a dream: all is possible. Definitely authentic Turkish food. Best of luck and many years of success for the business. Loved the glass roof being open on a summer August in the Bay. The art decor is cool. The sailboat on the wall brings my dreams to my mind.

This place deserves so much more recognition! The staff go out of their way to make your comfort a priority, they tailor your food exactly to your needs and they are so down-to-earth. Not to mention the food is delicious! Feels like you’re in a different country - 10/10 😍😍.

Called and booked for a large party of 30 for a Saturday event and they were so accommodating. Considering the size of the order and breaking up the payments in to different family groups, they managed to get it out in good time. Food was excellent and we were looked after by a lovely group of waitresses and the owner was on hand overseeing the process and took great care of us! If we’re in the area we will be back, if you’re local and you love Turkish/Mediterranean food this is a must!!!

This is my second visit to the Secret garden. I went with a group of colleagues on Friday 28th June. At recommendation. Everyone loved it. It was a warm night so the roof was open. Mixed with the decor we felt we in the med for the night.. We were made very welcome. The food was fresh and very hot. Totally delicious. Great place for group dinners. The owners vision to bring to life his stunning restaurant from a humble takeaway has solidified it's place as a tourist attraction. The stunning living artwork commissioned to a European artist is a beautiful piece of culture. The food was also amazing. We will be returning in the spring to experience the open roof and the rooftop experience. Thanks

Went there Saturday 6th January approx 1pm. The staff was very attentive. Helped me find a table with my granddaughter and got me a highchair, colouring for her to do. Pub was very busy, but they made time for me. Appreciate it very much.

Nice restaurant and good service. The Thai green curry was very tasty (slightly different form traditional version, more creamy) and comes with rice so good value. Complimentary Thai crackers and the complimentary dessert was a nice touch. Will definitely visit again. A lively lunch.

This is a lovely Japanese restaurant with a brilliant takeaway service. We have only tried the Katsu Curry with noodles so far but I’m sure the rest of the menu is equally excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant is excellent and the staff are equally so friendly that they gave me a complimentary dessert of marshmallow fritter with ice-cream. Delicious!!

A superb little place in Herne Bay. If someone prefers to eat delicious Asian foods for reasonable prices, Coconut Tree is a perfect choice. We had crispy aromatic ducks, noodles with mixed seafoods, and Thai green chicken curry. Everything was tasty, and we had good portions. We are going to visit again

Really friendly place, great to pop in for a main at lunch time or a full-on meal for a special occasion. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is superb. We went for a quick lunch with friends this time but looking forward to going back soon for starters as well with the family - looking forward to those garlic prawns. Lovely!

Visited today with my two children and three other family members. We have been to Herne Bay many, many times but we'd never noticed this restaurant, despite it being opposite a play park my kids go to every time. We had been missing out. Inside is incredibly clean and well-maintained. We were warmly welcomed. Table was all ready for us. Service was great throughout and the food was simply awesome! Large portions, very well presented and super tasty. Even my fussy mother in law said she'd go back, and she's never said that about anywhere! One particular mention - my son is gluten intolerant. There were lots of things on the menu he could have - he was spoilt for choice! Menu lists which items are gluten free. He had tortillas with beef and cheese which he loved. Their chips are also gluten free. This place is a hidden gem. Very worth a visit and competitively priced too (special offer for weekday meals). Well done guys, we will be back.

Went expecting more American style BBQ and ended up having amazing Mexican Food!!!! So hard to find good mexican 🌮🌯 food here in the UK so very pleased!!! Highly recommend the Chimichanga!!! The Beef was moist, tender and full of flavour!!!!

Me and my wife were given vouchers for Charlie’s back in 2017, we were looking forward to the food as it sounded so good on their website, and they did not fail to please. What a gem of a restaurant overlooking Herne Bay sea front. We had a lovely meal comprising pate with onion chutney; chicken with king prawns in a rich creamy sauce with Jersey Royal potatoes and salad; chocolate Truffle cake for dessert: I had cream and Hubby opted for Salted Caramel ice cream. All courses beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

Dined at Charlie’s on a Sunday afternoon with my partner and two young daughters. Situated just off the seafront, with plenty of parking nearby, Charlie’s is a convenient place to stop and grab a bite. Staff were friendly and efficient and the menu had plenty to choose from at very reasonable prices. My partner and children went for the Carvery, while I opted for the roast beef ciabatta. All very nice, although my roast beef was a little on the gristly side. Would certainly recommend, the outdoor seating area would be very nice on a warm day.

The service was fantastic, amazing and friendly waitresses and the owner came out for a chat too. We used a Groupon voucher and unlike other places where you get treated like second class citizens we were treated like royalty - kudos to the staff. Again even with a Groupon deal the food was really high quality and delicious. The hot fish platter and scallops are must orders!

Well this was a surprise, I took my friend out for Lunch, we were going to try “Table Table”, so glad we chose Miller & Carter. It had been a Harvester, now refurbished, we were greeted by a friendly chap at the reception desk, and shown to a table, we had not made a reservation I’m sure it gets busy here! I was impressed by the set Lunch menu, £16.95 for two courses or £19.95 for three! We both chose fillet mignon 5 oz (a £6.50 supplement) with different side sauces, it came with deep fried onion, tomato and chunky chips which were perfect for dipping in the sauce too! Sides were extra, my choice was Garlic Button Mushrooms £3.95 And a glass of Malbec for my friend £ 9.25 for a small glass! And I had a small Pepsi ! Staff friendly and helpful telling us about how the steaks were cooked!

Our waiter Rob was very attentive and informative as it was our first time to the restaurant. Food was very good and presented well. Only one minor disappointment was slight delay from kitchen to table but, other than that, a very pleasant experience. Would highly recommend and happily go again.

Our first visit to Casa Mia and were greeted as though we were their only customers. We hadn't booked, but they did everything to find my wife and I a table given they were fully booked, so on that front, it was excellent service. The restaurant was run very well given the unusual layout and, again, treated us very well indeed. Food was of excellent quality and well presented but surprisingly not too expensive, so even better. If a fault had to be found, then I might say a little salty, although that might just be the type of chosen pizza. Still, the pizza was excellent, and all was consumed. It is most definitely a place to return to when we visit Herne Bay again. Thank you, Casa Mia We live nearly 200 miles away, so whilst visiting family again, my wife and I decided to pop back in to Casa Mia, given that we remembered what it like the last time, and we were not disappointed. Great service and superb pizza. The flavours evoked memories of when we were in Italy, so that would surely tell you something. Not much else to add other than a thank you to the staff there and again, a great pizza restaurant with plenty of accolades and recommendations from professionals, and that surely says something. I'd recommend this place and we'll certainly return for another meal there. Ps, my added photo of a slice of pizza doesn't do it justice. I nearly forgot to get a photo as I was keen to tuck in.

Very nice place in the middle of Herne bay . Absolutely stunning service , the waitress was so nice with us . Pizza tasted really good probably a bit smaller that expected considering the price tag and how looked in the plate . Overall absolutely recommended .

La Turka truly deserves its 5-star rating. We recently enjoyed a lovely family dinner there and were thoroughly impressed. The restaurant was well-prepared for our arrival, and the service was attentive and friendly. The cozy atmosphere created a perfect setting for a relaxed evening. We opted for the sharing Ala Turka special for three, which, while on the pricier side, was absolutely worth it. Every dish was exceptional. We also appreciated that there was no added service charge to the bill. This is a rare and welcome find, especially given the high quality of the food and service.

I had lunch at A La Turka in Herne Bay today with a friend, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! We ordered the mixed grill with yogurt, and it was absolutely incredible. The meats were perfectly grilled, tender, and full of flavor, and the yogurt added a delicious, creamy contrast that brought the whole dish together. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful Turkish decor that created a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
