I loved my breakfast and I would strongly recommend coming here. I had the mary poppins pancakes, and I couldn't stop eating them. If I could rate over 5, I would. Overall, it was a great breakfast, and I would definitely come here again. A little secret is after you have eaten. If you have a little one, they get a little free lollie!! 5 stars!

Decent breakfast here this morning, just went for a light bite between jobs. Served quickly and food come out reasonably quick. Only critique is the bacon, very thin sliced and a bit tough but still eat it all Would come back again

Very reasonably priced. Great fast service and a great breakfast. The pancakes are also lovely but too much cream, was still delicious though.

Can't fault anything at all, from the service, the food and to the price. My 'go-to' eatery in Herne Bay. Always busy, which is a good sign. The breakfasts are all very good indeed, but the star of the show (for me anyway) is the steak and kidney pudding, which is almost as good as the one served up at Rules in Covent Garden (and which costs a damned sight more!) Highly recommended.

Mid week lunch, wow, a real surprise, wasn't going to go in at first as we were just passing and didn't alook all that exciting. We hadn't expected to get a taste and feel of being abroad in Herne Bay. Do not pass by, go in I guarantee you'll be blown away, great atmosphere not too mention fine food a good choice of drinks, cocktails, etc. Friendly staff rounded off a nice lunch, thanks Poppy for looking after us. Great job Amet on creating such a wonderful place.

This was our first stop after we arrived in Herne Bay. Food was delicious and way bigger than we expected. Top scores for quality and quantity. The outside space is beautiful and big. Absolutely loved lunch here! ❤️

What an amazing night at the grapevine last night. Had many nights here, but yesterday my friends arranged a surprise 'hen-do' and had booked a table of 12 at the Grapevine. Im not usually one to write reviews, but the hospitality was second to none, so they well and truly deserve a mention. The girls who looked after us were so attentive and couldn't do enough for not only our hen party but everyone in the restaurant. They are a huge credit to the grapevine and know how to please their customers and attend to their every need. They interacted with all customers and even joined in with some singing dancing and made it such a lovely, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere. At one point, the staff put on our hen party's masks (mine and my husband to be faces) and came over to the table all singing Bruno Mars with with a complimentary shot and sparklers They sure know how to get a crowd going and keep them going! Keep it up girls, you made our night! We will all be back! Thank you all so much. Xx

A La Turka Herne Bay
61 Central Parade, Herne Bay CT6 5JG, UK | Turkish Restaurant P: 01227 370707
Rating: 4.4 (1041) Price Level:
I had lunch at A La Turka in Herne Bay today with a friend, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! We ordered the mixed grill with yogurt, and it was absolutely incredible. The meats were perfectly grilled, tender, and full of flavor, and the yogurt added a delicious, creamy contrast that brought the whole dish together. It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with beautiful Turkish decor that created a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for a leisurely lunch, and I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu. Highly recommend *A La Turka* for anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in Herne Bay!

Lovely restaurant, the food is freshly prepared and presented very well. Super tasty and plenty of it. Staff and friendly and quick. The food arrived promptly too. Beautiful venue with lots of seating options. Great understanding on Gluten Free too!

La Turka truly deserves its 5-star rating. We recently enjoyed a lovely family dinner there and were thoroughly impressed. The restaurant was well-prepared for our arrival, and the service was attentive and friendly. The cozy atmosphere created a perfect setting for a relaxed evening. We opted for the sharing Ala Turka special for three, which, while on the pricier side, was absolutely worth it. Every dish was exceptional. We also appreciated that there was no added service charge to the bill. This is a rare and welcome find, especially given the high quality of the food and service.

Will give 6 stars if I could! Excellent service, super tasty food (we had mixed kebabs), served with rice, warm fresh bread and house salad. Will definitely come back again.

Amazing highly recommend!! We went to a different restaurant and left because the service wasn’t great but as soon as we came in here it was so much better. You can see the beach front it’s peaceful and the staff are amazing. The food is even better. 10/10 recommend.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Staff were an absolute delight. So friendly and kind. Chatted to us and really made our day! Food was lovely. Cafe clean and cakes looked amazing (although we didn’t have any). Would definitely recommend!

First visit with friend and will return. Fabulous coffee and cake and loved the decor
Rating: 5 / 5
We have been here quite a few times since it opened and introduced our wider family to it also. The service is great. I have only had (many) coffees there, cake and ice cream, all of which I recommend (I have become addicted to the affogato). My family said the breakfasts are good.

Been here twice now when visiting Herne Bay & it’s become my go to for a coffee! Staff are really lovely & the coffee & cake is really tasty as well. Lovely calm atmosphere in there too, looking forward to returning.

Have been twice now to The Key. On both occasions we've had excellent service, the coffee is delicious and when we had lunch the other day it was fabulous, I can't recommend enough. I also had an ice cream to take out - Omg delicious. Can't wait to visit again.

Four Fathoms
2 High St, Herne Bay CT6 5LH, UK | Pub P: 01227 364411
Rating: 4.4 (351) Price Level:
Great selection of beers here which was the best thing about the pub. I was really pleased to see Murphy's which I haven't seen in many places at all. The service was inexplicably slow when I popped in and I am not really sure why. Pricing for beer is ok.
Rating: 4 / 5
It was welcoming and warm on a cold Christmas Eve but can be quite noisy as expected when quiet. We came for a drink while waiting for takeaway and there was such a mixture of different people, young and older, families and couples, groups of friends. There’s bar games out back which were popular, especially with the young party kids. Bar service was friendly and efficient with plenty of beers on tap and other drinks available.

Theakstons best on gas. Then usual lagers. Staff friendly. Lots of banter going on around the pub so seems popular.

Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here! The staff are incredibly friendly, decor is stunning and the roast dinner did not disappoint! Kids pasta portion was huge too and so good! There is a garden area if you want outdoor dining. A two minute walk from the beachfront, definitely worth a visit if you are on holiday in Herne Bay x

On arrival to what appears to be just another pub on a corner you are met with a fresh and modern interior. It's no micropub but the bar area is a bit of a squeeze they serve local ales, larger and stouts as you would hope and a large selection of spirits, prices for a drink are as reasonable as any other good pub. I went as part of a party of 6. We were shown through to a restaurant area at the rear that was warm and as welcoming as the main bar area. My 1st and only grumble is that they have bench seats which are far too low for table. The menu & food. The menu is select it had a couple of options per dietary style (vegetarian, fish and meat) I sampled the delights of the confit of duck spring rolls which were packed full of meat and flavour and presented in an appealing way. For mains I had tried jack fruit, not because I was trying to be a trendy vegan but as it sounded amazing, (which it was)a large portion was presented that again was packed full of flavour and something of a rarity extremely filling. Desert selection is again refined to about 8 dishes catering for most tastes, I had some sorbets which were very nice and refreshing. We were lucky as there was entertainment provided by means of a band called 6 shades of grey, very good band which we could hear on the restaurant area without it being intrusive to the conversation. Overall amazing food, friendly staff and atmosphere, limited menu that's worth reading before you go to check you would eat some thing.

Absolutely beautiful pub with gorgeous food. Was so cozy and the service was absolutely amazing, had a slight problem with the kitchen which was communicated perfectly and also compensated. Would (and have!) recommend to everyone and would absolutely go back 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 best pub in herne bay!

We had a really lovely meal here. The food was great and the portions were big, so it’s definitely great value for money. They also have a big selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. The inside decor is very nice, and we had a beautiful view from the window overlooking the sea. My dad would especially recommend the crunchie sundae (pictured) We will definitely dine here again!

Our first visit to this lovely restaurant. Very dog friendly, food was lovely, great portion sizes. We had the best waitress, unfortunately I didn't catch her name but she was absolutely brilliant and couldn't do enough. We will definitely be visiting again

Me and my partner came to Herne Bay for a couple nights break. This pub did not disappoint. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. And the atmosphere was great. It was so good we came in for dinner the second night too. Was served by a lovely young lady full of smiles both nights. We didn't catch your name, but 10 star service from you 🥰
