Great food served by friendly staff in a lovely little pub with a great atmosphere. The staff certainly aim to please.

Excellent outdoor meal with wonderful friendly service. I had the Unicorn burger with crunchy onion rings, steak strips, peppercorn sauce and homemade chips. The pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord went down a treat.

I am a bit biased by going here for over 41 years and not been let down yet. Has a lovely atmosphere. Now a sports bar with tv's visible throughout the 4 rooms. Car park to rear of building for warmer weather with a beer garden and children's play area. Good range of beers, spirits, wines and cocktails. Has new menu in place with range of meals.

Lovely staff and food is well presented and of a good quality without a big expense. There's a good selection of beers and was playing xmas / chart music in the background which set a jolly mood. I'd come back again next time I'm in this neck of the woods.

Absolutely awesome beautiful food for breakfast for the price it’s amazing. Colette & sammii made feel so welcome. They could not have done anymore nothing was any trouble at all. As I have MND it means some times I’m unable to control my arms & hands. They brought me my coffee across so I didn’t end up with it all over me and the floor. I can’t thank them enough for kindness not just to me other customers as well.

We decided to visit for a nice Sunday carvery after our little boys swimming lesson. We were just about to go up to get it and then there was a power cut. We sat about for a while wondering if the power was going to come back on, it didn’t so we went up anyway and ate in the dark . The power did eventually come back on so we were able to get desserts. The staff were brilliant during the outage. It was a new experience but it hasn’t put us off from returning

I had the pleasure of dining at Silkwood farm, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious, with every dish perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. What truly set this visit apart, though, was the exceptional service. Lizzy, our waiter, was outstanding! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. She took the time to ensure we had everything we needed and even gave great recommendations from the menu. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely kind and dedicated to making your dining experience special. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Great food, great ambiance, and amazing service thanks to Lizzy! I’ll definitely be back soon.

We all had carvery which was very decent price and great size. Meats were hit and miss gammon being excellent and beef being a little overcooked for our preference but overall very tasty. The deserts here were amazing especially for value, portions so big we had to take some home with us! Atmosphere was great really appreciated having a adult area which was quieter. All our servers were super attentive and friendly, definitely made the trip nicer. Thank you to our server Lucy for the experience.

We had my mum and dad's Dimond wedding anniversary at Salute at the White Swan. The staff was fantastic, very helpful every one of them . They all worked so hard to make everything go smoothly. Thank you to all of them . They are a credit to Salutes The food was excellent, the pizzas were excellent, and the cold buffet was excellent. Couldn't folt anything. Thank you to the kitchen staff. The atmosphere was excellent it was piped music with a good selection. I would definitely be recommending it to other people

We've dined here a few times over the years and have never been particularly impressed, but we decided to give it another try for lunch and actually had a really nice meal. The prawn bruschetta was really tasty (although quite small!) and the Calzone was excellent. We'll definitely return.

The rotisserie chicken with the gravy - delicious but the Mac n cheese is a 100/10, unreal. Biscoff cheesecake could have fed an army and it would be the happiest army ever. Service was as stunning as ever, Julie was an absolute superstar ! Thanks for a lovely evening 🥰

Spacious but feels cozy Italian diner. Staff were nice and food was ok.

Went for a nights stay with my mum, it was amazing we had breakfast and dinner. The food and service was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and there to help if we needed it. There is a milk and water dispenser on every floor, I thought these were a great touch. Robes and slippers are provide and it's accepted to go down to the Spa/pool area in them.. loved this!

Last minute booking at the Thorpe Park Hotel & Spa. We had a lovely room with a comfortable bed. The white company toiletries were nice in our room and we were provided with slippers and a robe which was brilliant for the Spa. The staff were friendly when checking in and out. We didn't try any food so can't comment on this. The spa was very nice although the pool was mostly full with people who have a membership, they were lane swimming so it was difficult to find a space where we didn't feel in the way. Also they had put their outdoor shoes, towels, bags of toiletries scattered around the pool sides and on the floor next to the steps which were a bit awkward. Free parking, just give your parking ticket to the receptionist when checking out. Room service banged on our door at 9am even though we were only visiting for one night, they wanted to know when we were checking out. I didn't feel this was necessary as check out wasn't until 11am? Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Lovely corner pub in the center of Rothwell with a very long history, 200 years to be exact. Staff are super friendly and the food are good.

Lovely, friendly, helpful staff and great food - went here yesterday as part of a large group booking (18 of us) and all of the food came out piping hot. I had the scampi which I'd definitely recommend! We'll be coming back again soon.

Called in for lunch following recommendations. Was greeted by Lizzie who was very friendly and welcoming. My wife had a cheese and ham panning, packed with ham and I had the Chorizo and prawn pasta, both meals excellent. Nice friendly atmosphere in the pub , will definitely be back.

Met up here with some London friends for a roast before they headed back. Lovely friendly staff who were very attentive. The food was amazing, you can tell when it's fresh and home made rather than the bland offers from chain pubs. Perfectly cooked beef, fluffy big Yorkshire and a great selection of veg including my favourite creamed leeks. We added a cauli cheese and pigs in blankets to share. My friends were amazed at the quality and value for money saying a similar offer at an independent London pub would be £25+ All in all a great pub, great staff, great food and importantly great value. Highly recommend and can't wait to return

Lovely pub, huge car park area plus outdoor searing area. Great selection of food at reasonable prices. Nice selection of real ales, and premium lagers. Attentive friendly staff, wait times for food when busy can be around 40 minutes.

Wonderful Sunday roast. Everything was good. Roasties mash, veg and beef dripping gravy, had the beef rib as my meat it was tender. Puds are lovely, too. Would definitely recommend 😉👍

I went for a meal with my boyfriend, the food is always really tasty and reasonable. They had Christmas specials on the menu and had a vast selection of yummy treats. I ordered the Mac and cheese and my partner got a sharing platter which I stole the chips from of course! The atmosphere was nice not too busy or quiet and the staff are always attentive. Had a really loud family next to is but that's nothing to do with the pub. Great value and warming atmosphere

My best friend and I had a great stay here last night. Food in the pub for both dinner and lunch was excellent. The rooms were clean, well presented and comfy. Mel served us at lunch and she was lovely. She made sure our food came quickly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you! ☺️

Great Customer service. We booked on Black Friday, great deal £75 for one night bed and breakfast, which is refundable up until the day before (check website on that) Cheaper than Premier Inn, which is £100+ non refundable (unless you choose more expensive options). The food was better than the premier inn down the road. The restaurant is very nice. Refurbished recently and they have done a good job. Only fault is that they do not have a lift so for an accessible room, you only have the bottom floor as an option.

I ordered from here for the first time and will definitely make it my go to for a Sunday roast....what a dinner,was beautiful,hot and plenty of it,everything thing was fresh on it and the meat was nice and tender. Absolutely beautiful honestly and well worth your money.5 stars from me and nearly forgot to mention the delivery driver,he was nice and polite too so I highly recommend this place...

5 stars! 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟 NOTHING chewy! Which was MOST important! We had the beef & chicken. Estimated delivery at 2:00pm and came at 1:50pm, we were so happy! Thank you for our delicious roast dinner and yorkshire pudding wrap delivered to our door. The yorkshire pudding was so soft and perfectly cooked, alongside the tender parsnips & roast potatoes. We absolutely will be recommending to the whole family!

First time ordering Sunday lunch Wasn't disappointed.The food was plentiful , tasty and had a good selection of vegetables ,meat and the rest.Great value and I'm sure I will be back .Delivery driver was lovely and very helpful.Thank you for an all round good experience.

Staff are always friendly and helpful. They even got my usual order ready today when they saw us making our way through the garden centre to the restaurant. Drinks and food are reasonably priced and delicious and the softplay is only £2.45. The mini softplay area is separate from the restaurant and has its own seating for 30+. It's just the right size for pre-schoolers and my two year old loves visiting at least once a week. There's also a separate baby bit and an outdoor terrace. Great that you can just drop in with kids without booking then go and feed the Koi Carp on the way out.
