Lovely place! Definitely eat here! Food was very tasty and felt quite fresh. There vibe was on point, we were seating in a covered area outside with heating that felt very cozy. Incredible service too, food was served within minutes and our server Bekim was 10/10.

Went to Arens on Friday night. Lovely food, wonderful cocktails and all to the sound of a dj playing great 90s throw back music. The manager Landy was very attentive to my diety needs e.g vegetarian with a nut allergy. Can't wait to go again.

What a fab pretty place with such excellent waiting staff and management! And the food was delicious! We got truffle chips with cheese and you know the place is good when the cheese isn’t just at the top but all the way through! Ahhh divine! We went on a day they had the grinch visiting, it was a bit noisy with lots of kids running around but our toddler felt like she could also loosen up and get involved in the excitement. I imagine on a day when they don’t have a guest appearance it’s nothing like that. We got to spend enough time talking to the grinch and taking pictures with him without feeling like we didn’t get enough of his time. The staff were beyond friendly and incredibly hospitable. They apologised before we even got to our seat for the noisy environment that night and even though they were incredibly busy they never lacked in service at any point. When we left the manager was seating other guests but she still made a point to say, thank you for visiting to every customer as they left. When we first arrived there were quite a few cars blocked trying to get in and out but we saw a young staff member come out to help manoeuvre the cars. Honestly they did incredibly well on what was clearly a very hectic night. It wasnt a cheap at £90 for 2 and a half of us but it was memorable and we had a lovely time. Can’t wait to return! So glad we discovered this place !

Went for a Sunday roast with a friend for the first time after driving by for years.. very nice family restaurant, rather expensive menu for a pensioner like me, but quality was noticeable, & service team was top notch. The food was very good, saving for the carrots which should be served as a dessert.. too sweet/sugary to be served with the roast.

Granero Lounge

A very nice place to grab brunch on a weekend. The interior is a good mix of old and new. The food was good and there are a lot of games available to spend the time before your order comes. There is a separate vegan menu as well. So vegetarians have a large selection available.

As usual Granero Lounge does a really lovely breakfast. Today I decided to try something different,I went for the Gluten Free big veggie breakfast. It was absolutely delicious, all the food was delicious. I loved the fritters, they were delicious and had a nice flavour. Also the greens and peppers were really nice too,the mushroom was good. The vegetarian sausage really exceeded my expectations. It tasted delicious. The Hash Browns were piping hot, stayed hot for 30 minutes and crispy on the outside fluffy on the inside. Just like all hash browns should be,Granero Lounge do their Hash Browns remarkably. The toast was really nice,it was extra nice with the butter and jam. The background music was a jam as well! The bacon to the side was delicious. Friendly staff(they have incredible staff here),food came out fairly fast too. Lovely pictures, atmosphere and decor. I love the Vegetarian breakfast so much. I would definitely recommend it! It was beautifully presented too. I would highly recommend the Granero Lounge breakfast,I would recommend if you are staying in the Premier Inn hotel in Ruislip to save Granero Lounge in a breakfast list on google maps. A fantastic local delight of a place. Stunning decor which lends itself to a beautiful atmosphere, very warm and inviting. A soothing place to eat, work remotely, relax etc. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff were warm and friendly, not something you encounter often these days. A breath of fresh air in the locality. I been 4 times now :)

The White Bear
Ickenham Rd, Ruislip HA4 7DF, UK | Pub P: 01895 679770
Rating: 4.4 (1348) Price Level:
The white bear is our most frequented local watering hole. Great range of seasonal dishes, fantastic Sunday lunches (with extra sides if needed!), great range of drinks. Service has always been outstanding. Warm atmosphere. Suitable for all.
Rating: 5 / 5
A quintessential British pub, in my opinion. It's very family-friendly and has a friendly atmosphere. The food was good, and the ambiance was made it a lovely place to catch-up with old friends. I had a fish and chips and it was really well done. My friend had a duck and that was well done too. The place has a good outdoor setting but could not make use of it as it was still cold in late April.

Fresh food and full of flavour, I don’t remember beef rump that tasty with the dairy free sauce and beetroot on site- delicious combo. My partner had fish sea bream, a very big and very fresh. Place is very inviting with the garden.
Rating: 5 / 5
The White Bear is definitely the best pub food in the area. Always had a decent meal served by friendly staff. My girlfriend and I go regularly - but I felt the need to add a review after reading so many nitpickers in these comments whinging about such minor grievances. The food is a few quid more than most surrounding pubs, but definitely of a better quality than any pub for miles. There was a little bit of lipstick on my glass last time I went - but who honestly cares? I asked them to change it and they apologised and swapped it immediately. Bravo!

We chose to eat at the White Bear on a whim simply because we were visiting the area & it served food later than some other establishments. However, we will definitely go out of our way to eat there again. Our meals included a starter, 3 adult meals, 2 children's meals & 3 deserts, all of which were of outstanding quality. It is difficult to appeal to all tastes & to consistently produce high quality food, yet all of us expressed that our meals were amongst the best we had ever had. The chef(s) certainly knows their trade & how to create dishes that are full of flavour. Additionally, it was greatly appreciated that there were varied vegan options that were the unique to the White Bear. The service was also excellent, attentive, friendly & faultless. We left feeling sublimely happy & we are looking forward to our next visit. As an aside, on our way in we had walked from the car park through the outside seating area. It looked beautiful in the dark with the way the string lights & plants had been arranged to create a peaceful space. It looked like it would be a wonderful place to sit & relax on a warm evening

The Water's Edge
Reservoir Rd, Ruislip HA4 7TY, UK | Pub P: 01895 625241
Rating: 4 (2942) Price Level:
The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Desmond and Amanda who showed us where to get the food from at the breakfast buffet. They were smiling and bubbly which made the overall experience of going really welcoming. It was quite quiet so not a massive bustling atmosphere the both times I went but that’s not necessarily an issue and my family really enjoyed their meals nonetheless. The pizza is delicious I would definitely recommend and if you’re on a student budget like myself they have very good daily deals on Mondays and Tuesday with 50% off food. The vegetarian sausages at the breakfast weren’t the nicest I’ve ever tasted but overall I enjoyed both my meals here and would visit again.

Really enjoyable carvery that was good value and all of the staff were very friendly. Good location too and we enjoyed a walk around by the beach to walk off a few of the calories 😀

I went to grab some lunch at Water's Edge after visiting Ruislip Lido over the weekend. I ordered two large portions of fish and chips for takeout, which I found reasonably priced at £22.98. While the fish was warm, fresh, and tasted good, and the chips were fine, neither the fish nor the chips were too oily, the wait was much longer than anticipated. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. Would I eat there again? Probably, if I visit Ruislip Lido again.

I was very impressed by this pub! You can create your own roast lunch only for 13.99£ and the quality of the food is outstanding. Very spacious and the lake view is definitely a plus. Thank you Sophie for the professional service.

Had a wonderful visit with my aunt and dad. We enjoyed the carvery and BBQ chicken burger—both were excellent, with fresh, hot food regularly replenished. The service was fast, professional, and welcoming. The only slight disappointment was not being seated by the window, despite it being a special occasion and a table being available. However, the overall experience was fantastic. Great food at a good price—highly recommend!

Visiting Venue 5 was like taking a flavourful journey through India's culinary heritage! This restaurant showcases the diversity and richness of Indian cuisine with incredible authenticity and flair. Here’s a breakdown of the experience: Ambience The decor reflects traditional Indian artistry with a touch of modern elegance. From warm lighting to intricate wall art, the setting immediately sets the stage for an immersive dining experience. Great music on a Saturday night from the DJ too! Appetizers We started with the classic lamb samosas, special paneer and chicken lollipop. The samosas were delightfully crisp, with a spiced meat filling that balanced heat and flavour perfectly. The chicken lollipop was juicy and infused with a smoky char, complemented by a tangy yogurt dip. The special paneer had it's own special spices which made it taste so good. Main Courses The karahi lamb curry was bold and beautifully balanced, with tender pieces of lamb and a sauce that had the perfect amount of heat. The spices were just right, allowing the flavours to develop with each bite. Paired with garlic naan, it was truly indulgent. Breads and Sides The garlic naan was fresh and pillowy, perfect for scooping up the sauces. The peshwari naan was fluffy and coconutty. The pulao rice was fragrant, with just the right amount of seasoning. Desserts We finished with gulab jamun and a malteser cheesecake. The gulab jamun was warm and sweet, with a soft, melt-in-the-mouth texture, while the cheesecake was creamy, refreshing, and a perfect end to the meal. Service The staff specifically Thrushali was attentive, knowledgeable about the dishes, and happy to make recommendations based on our preferences. Each course arrived with perfect timing, and the servers explained the ingredients and origins, which added to the experience. Value for Money Given the quality and portion sizes, the pricing felt reasonable. Venue 5 manages to balance authenticity with a touch of creativity, making it worth every penny. Overall Impression Venue 5 offers a fantastic representation of Indian cuisine, where quality ingredients, skilled preparation, and attention to detail come together. It’s an ideal spot for both those new to Indian food and seasoned enthusiasts. Highly recommended for anyone craving a memorable Indian meal!

Absolutely Fantastic!! Delicious food, very well priced and presented. Brilliant for families and couples as there are lots of choices of seats. Allan was really helpful when one of the dishes was a bit too spicy, he quickly substituted it out for a less spicy dish with no charge. Highly recommend this place to everyone, will definitely be eating here again! Thanks Allan!

From the moment we were seated, Allan made sure we were well taken care of, attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations that enhanced our meal. His attentiveness throughout the evening was remarkable, ensuring our drinks were always topped up and checking in at just the right moments without being intrusive. Allan's friendly and approachable demeanor added a personal touch to the evening, making us feel welcome and valued as guests. His genuine enthusiasm and commitment to creating a great dining experience are what set this restaurant apart. It's rare to find such high-caliber service, and Allan truly made our visit memorable.
