“Not the cheapest place around here but the quality, ambience and experience is worth the premium. Staff made an effort for my birthday and we had a great time. We all could have had anything on the menu which always makes it a tough choice. All in all, a lovely evening and will be back.”

Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream Parlour - Hide & Hoof Farm Restaurant

“Great Food and a Lovely Market. I visited here on a cloudy Sunday afternoon for brunch at Hide & Hoof and found The Barn Market was open too. The Barn has a nice selection of local Yorkshire independent stores selling unique goods like stylish prints with Yorkshire slang and hand made jewellery. At Hide & Hoof Farm Restaurant, it was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant has a large capacity with both ground floor and upstairs eating areas but despite this it was very busy for Sunday lunch. I’d recommend booking a table ahead of schedule if possible. I had a group of 7 and was seated upstairs. The restaurant atmosphere is lovely as was the interior decor of the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and served me and my friends promptly after we decided what we wanted to eat. I ordered the 3 stack of American Pancakes with crispy chicken, chargrilled back bacon & maple syrup which costs £10.95 and I also ordered a Pot ‘a’ Tots (hash brown bites) from the special menu which costs £3.95. The food arrived within 40 minutes on a very busy Sunday. The crispy chicken was cooked beautifully and was paired well with the bacon and syrup, the tots were lovely, fried and cooked to perfection! Worth the wait. After brunch, I ordered ice-cream from The Udder Room. Downstairs in the restaurant the ice-cream counter was very busy and I was asked to visit the outdoor store instead. There is a nice selection of ice-cream available (see my photos). I ordered the double scoop of Biscoff & Raspberry Ripple in a cone which costs £4. The ice-cream wasn’t particularly special but topped off the lovely brunch. Overall, I had a lovely afternoon at Hide & Hoof Farm Restaurant. The service was good and the food was great. I would like to visit again and try different food at the restaurant. I think next time I would also give the ice-cream a miss.”

“We arrived on Friday at a nearby Airbnb and The Pickled Pheasant was the nearby watering hole. The fire was light making the pub very welcoming, everyone was very friendly not just the bar staff but also everyone who was drinking ... dogs are welcome there is a good selection of beers and lagers. During the whole stay we frequented the pub on most evenings and every time we were welcomed even during the busy Sunday .... we will definitely be back”

Holmfirth Vineyard, Accommodation & Restaurant by Sheveling Wine Estates
Vineyard, Woodhouse Ln, Holmbridge, Holmfirth HD9 2QR, UK

“We knew from the first open day visit that the vineyard was the one. Every other venue we saw just didn't compare! The events team were all very easy to deal with and down to earth. On the wedding day itself everything went to plan (to our knowledge) and we and all the guests had such a fantastic day. All guests commented on how spectacular the food was and of course the view/location speaks for itself! We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this wedding venue to anyone we know! Special thanks to Mia, Holly and Tom for making our day unforgettable! The only issue that we had was that we had to source alternative accommodation for the night before as there was another wedding at the vineyard. Something to bear in mind that you may need to get ready and stay over the night before somewhere else.”
