Was really impressed with W&P, not only for their beautiful food but also for how they looked after us a large group booking, especially dealing with the bills. Each of us had our own bill, no faffing around doing calculations, who had what, the lovely waitress had sorted it all for us, it was such a breeze. Thank you. Back to the food, there were great preorder food options for a group booking, they catered for gluten free and vegetarians well. High quality, fresh ingredients. Probably the best falafel dish I've ever had, a mountain of food! Had mocktail options for the drivers, refreshing to see not to be full of sugar either 🙂 Will love to come again. Wow, I wanted to do something a little different for my birthday this year and the whippet and pickle didn’t disappoint. I booked a bottomless brunch for 4. We had more than enough food, a brunch board and a waffle of our choosing. Excellent range of drinks. It wasn’t like the usual bottomless drinks where you leave legless and hungry. We left feeling full and happy. Thank you to the waitress’. A wonderful day with good friends, good conversation (that I could hear that wasn’t drowned out by loud music) and fantastic food.

Had our anniversary dinner here on a cold snowy night in December. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy and the staff were very attentive. Food was fantastic, the butternut risotto was the best risotto i've ever had. Sticky toffee pudding was an additional bonus.

Unusual place in many ways. Decor is fun. Cosy upstairs with quite a lot of seating. Food was excellent. Every course was delicious. Didn’t think I’d manage all three but I did. Had nice local beer (canned). Tricky access. Either up a cobbled steep street or steep steps and once inside more steep steps to eating area. We needed to pay £10 a head deposit to book but that’s kind of nice as your meal seems cheaper on the night. Staff friendly.

Came with friends and enjoyed kedgeree and eggs in breadcrumbs home made dandelion and burdock and coffee. Absolute perfection. Immaculately clean - lovely chilled staff.

Absolutely amazing food and beer. Stumbled across this place by chance and could not have been happier. The food was exquisite and the staff were outstandingly accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend the muscles and pork belly and make sure you get the potatoes on the side! DOV: 11/01/2025

This will no doubt become a very successful place for everyone to enjoy drinks hot/cold and delicious food. The service from staff was warming and welcoming. The coffee was 5/5 and you leave having no doubt to plan your next visit. The interior is modern with a relaxing feel, making you want to order that second coffee. Great work to the staff there, would highly recommend and will be visiting again soon.

What a gorgeous meal with lovely service. We can definitely recommend the pork belly, halloumi bites and brisket. But, it was all really tasty (loved the oyster mushrooms too). Plus upstairs the view is great!

Me and my wife live locally and had been meaning you try this place for a while. We did, and we were blown away. Seriously. We were a little unsure walking in... but after the starters starter flying out around us we were shocked. Food came... and MEGA. Apparently the owner/ head chef is OCD and handles all dishes going out... and it shows. It's out of this world. If your a foodie... try for yourself! Not the cheapest... but its obvious why. U get 8 BIG prawns for a starter. Mental.

Manuela has been an incredible host! The food is just divine and amazing quality. Lovely place cosy and beautifully designed . We will definitely be back!

Lovely small Italian restaurant in the village of honley, so really want to support. Food good slightly on the pricey side, which I'd be happy to pay to support small village Italian, however, not huge portions of what was ordered which was a good selection over the 2 nights we've visited. The restaurant is small but lovely. Eaten here twice, staff and service very good and friendly. only real sticking point is the price of wine starting at 28.00 a bottle and not the nicest of wines. Tried the one at 30.00 a bottle the 2nd time we visited and was disappointed by the quality of wine at this price point. the cost of the wine would put me off returning as I'd expect a really good wine for 30.00 a bottle. If they offered a decent house red at 20 and nicer wines 28.00 and above we would be more likely to return as we live locally. This is really the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars.

Great freshly cooked food. Steak pie was to die for, served with fresh skin on chips and peas.............would have been 5 stars but the meal needed another veg to compliment, maybe honey glazed carrots/parsnips or a brassica!?! I'm not a chef. Its just a suggestion.

1st time and definitely be back. Food was excellent even though they didn't have a few things it didn't matter was explained by Emma, and what we did have was delicious. Lovely snowy views.

Excellent food. Best sticky toffee pudding I have ever had. Did not stay in a room, just ate and drank. Nook brewery is the best.

Stopped for lunch after a long walk with my dog. Great selection of drinks. Ordered off the lunchtime specials menu. Absolutely delicious. I was well impressed with the drinks, feed and the staff were great too.

This is an excellent restaurant serving quality food. The food is delicious, fresh, and well presented. All staff are friendly and professional with food and drinks arriving quickly. The atmosphere is wonderful and all this combined make for a five star experience.

Visited Bengal Spice the other day, had a lovely evening. The drink was amazing, and the curries were just made right. My favourite was the Lamb Kathmandu. Definitely going there again.

A Breakfast to Remember! We had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at Finlay’s in Holmfirth, and it was truly exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish showcasing the finest local produce. The attention to quality and freshness was evident in every bite. The roasted local coffee deserves a special mention – it’s hands down the best we’ve ever had! Perfectly brewed, it complemented the meal wonderfully. What really made the experience stand out was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. They went above and beyond to ensure we felt right at home, adding a warm and personal touch to the visit. Finlay’s is a gem in Holmfirth, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch breakfast, incredible coffee, and outstanding service!

It was so impressive because mthe menu has many seafood dishes. We ordered Thai green curry King Prawn and Haddock fish and chips which were amazingly delicious and fresh. We absolutely come back and recommended.

Great fresh sea bass. Probably some of the best sea bass I’ve ever had. Service is over all good but kind of got forgotten about after serving the started. Long wait between course. Oh and the calamari was but well cooked.

Lovely food, very attentive and friendly staff, a great place, however the only downsides are that there is only one person on the bar which can cause long waiting time and if you want a drink whilst eating your food it will be cold as it takes so long in the queue. Serving staff cannot take dessert orders or coffees, it has to be done through one person who also manages the table bookings, answers the phone, manages staff and takes all payments which again can result in big queues and it becomes a bit stressful and feels a bit like a school canteen.

Went here for a carvery one Sunday and was excited to eat. Staff were very friendly and chatty, the atmosphere was nice and the interior of the pub is well decorated. The carvery would have been amazing, however, the mash they had is a mixture of potato and vegetables and ruined what would have been a great meal! I think the omission of plain mash is a very odd choice for a carvery, as it just tasted of mushed vegetables rather than the buttery creamy stuff you’d hope to eat with your meal! Wouldn’t put me off another visit, although I’d probably go for a menu item instead. My girlfriend at the chicken and loved her meal!

Enjoyed a lovely night at the Fox House on Saturday to celebrate Nicks 30th birthday with the family. The food was amazing and staff very attentive, Tracy you did us proud! Thank you!!

Came across this place on the way from Holmfirth, we were very pleased with the fantastic meal as well the lovely staff and good service. My partner had Liver & Onions and I wanted a vegan option, I had a pasta dish with garlic bread which was one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant. Highly recommended.

Myself and partner had a couple of lovely evenings here during a visit to Jackson Bridge for the weekend. A very cozy pub that made us feel welcome. We loved the beers and the nice conversations with the locals! We would certainly come back.

No longer gives accommodation but this is an excellent friendly, well run pub.

Called In to the red lion this evening to find a great atmosphere with a very knowledgeable bartender. Opted on the framers blond wow crystals clear pint. This pub knows what there about. Not far off from Holmfirth worth a visit.

Always good food with great service whenever we have been. The fact it's also dog friendly makes it a no-brainer for us with our 2 spaniels. Will return and would definitely recommend 👌

Booking the table online was extremely easy. On arrival, we were greeted with a smile and taken to our table. The menu had plenty of delicious dishes on offer, but we asked Amelia what she recommended. She suggested the steak pie. I was not disappointed. The pie was a proper portion with copious amounts of succulent beef, enveloped in perfect pastry. I would highly recommend this.

A fab hotel in a great location. Everything was spotlessly clean and all staff were very friendly and attentive. My only concern prior to our visit was whether taxis would be available to take us into Holmfirth (wow! what a fab friendly little town) and back. But there is an abundance of local taxis and staff on reception were more than happy to arrange taxis for us. It made for a memorable and enjoyable weekend despite our heaviest loss since 1966 at Elland Road. Our first time at 1014. A little quiet and not much atmosphere but, most places are quieter than normal in January. Staff were very friendly. Starters were both beautiful, for mains my fillet was slightly over cooked and slightly dry which should never really happen. The chicken chorizo skewers were excellent value. Despite the over cooked steak we would still give it another go in the future.

Visited mid-afternoon so it was quiet and wasn’t expecting chef to be ready for action but service was good and food excellent. I had a nice pint of Camden Brewery pale ale and a burger. Hand cut chips were really nice. First visit but would come again and try one of steaks which looked top notch.

Wow what discovery looking for somewhere to go to eat and drink in Holmfirth and discovered Ten Fourteen thinking it was just a restaurant and not very big but was shocked when we realised it had bit of everything set out on three floors. Nice big restaurant on top floor with nice warmly atmosphere friendly staff good food and drinks menu with open kitchen where you could see the cooking being done. We had a little wait because it was busy but the food was spot on and plenty of it . Good drinks selection not the cheapest but OK when finished our dinner we went downstairs where they serve food as well up to a certain time. There was live singer on nice big bar with good atmosphere and mixed age groups followed by a dj playing good variety of tunes with wine bar atmosphere and cocktails available the staff kept it nice and clean and had a good time feel. There was also a basement night club bar open until 2pm what a brilliant set up definitely going back

The food, service, atmosphere were all AMAZING. Absolutely enjoyed the burger. The staff is very friendly. I have a lactose allergy and they checked with the chef to see what I could and couldn't have. They even made changes to the burger, i got vegan cheese instead of normal cheese with no problem. Absolutely recommend the place!
