We came in today looking for a place to eat and came across this place. We come from London so this was such a sight. Had such a lovely environment when I went in they were so polite when I asked if we can get food takeaway. The lady was so lovely asking if I knew what I wanted. The chefs were so quick and the food was beautiful. I honestly would go there for some food late at night. And is not too spicy so you can handle it. Love this place!! These people needs to be praised for their lovely service and food

Stumbled upon this place on a random visit to Ramsgate and so glad we stopped by. It was a quiet Wednesday but still had a great welcoming atmosphere. The drinks were great, amazing food and lovely service. Jah Jah's Ramsgate really has that authentic Caribbean touch!

The food we had was amazing! The goat in the curry melted in your mouth. The burrito had the perfect ratio of all the fillings and the mac and cheese tasted very nice! The flavours all worked perfectly together. Can’t forget to mention that the waitress was very friendly, all made for a great time! Would highly recommend this placeto anyone

A little gem . Food was delicious. Lots to choose from . And the Rum list is also great. Lots of other drinks and cocktails on the list too. Drink and food good value for money too. Caroline was very attentive and Alex cooked our food to perfection……Will definitely be returning

There was 35 of us for a joint birthday party. The staff were wonderful we had mixed platters of starters cold meats, salmon, bruscheta, courgette and aubergine ribbons. Hot starters of potato croquettes, dough balls, calamari. The mains were all hot and beautifully presented the duck was exceptional. Followed by baked cheesecake and tiramisu. Fab wine list too. Cannot praise this restaurant and staff enough. Thank you

Arrived in Ramsgate yesterday, and happened across Porto Reale. What a fabulous start to our time here, wonderful host who was totally invested in making our experience in the restaurant a good one. Starting with a cocktail that was not on the list, followed by elegant and tasty food, together with an excellent wine from the well balanced wine list. All in all a very authentic Italian experience and it wont be our last visit.

Wet, cold and windy night in Ramsgate. A most lovely reception on entry from the proprietor and staff. Food was delicious, authentic and obviously cooked with care and attention. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Have given this 5 stars as to give 4 would not be fair - but for me it was not quite the full 5 for one reason only. But first - all the good things. Lovely place, amazing view over the harbour, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was fab and the mussels starter was one of the nicest dishes I have ever eaten.... The sauce was a true taste sensation. The fish main courses were also great (sea bass, salmon, prawns) and if you like almonds, the almond tart is a must for dessert. Also great suggestion for wine. I would go back any time and thoroughly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ramsgate. But don't go if you are in a hurry.... The one thing that kept it from the full 5 score was the time it took for the food to arrive even though the restaurant was not full... There was a long wait for both the starter and particularly the main courses. We were not really bothered with that as we were not in a rush but it was a bit too long... The place is not open too long so maybe still getting into a groove. But.... Would go back in a heartbeat and absolutely recommend.

Booked this restaurant before coming away for the weekend based on the reviews and have to say definitely did not disappoint. The food was exceptional, fresh ingredients, flavours were amazing. Staff were attentive without feeling rushed at all. Best Italian we've ever been too and wI'll definitely be returning.

Il Tricolore in Ramsgate is a fantastic Italian restaurant that exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors in every dish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it perfect for any occasion. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. If you're looking for great Italian cuisine in Ramsgate, Il Tricolore is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic restaurant! Food was delicious, atmosphere was relaxing and cosy and the service was perfect. My parents and I started with the special "Salt & Pepper Calamari" which melted in the mouth. Possibly the best Calamari I've eaten! We all had pasta for mains and everything was fresh, hot and tasty. Seafood was particularly yummy. We had the Risotto Pescatora, Linguini Gamberoni and the Paccheri Caprino. We didn't really have space for dessert but we didn't want to miss out, so mum and I ordered the Pannacotta and the Creme Brulé. Om nom nom 🤤 The staff had big smiles and were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and are already planning another visit in the near future 👍🏼

As a family we have eaten here over 20 times and it never fails to deliver great food along with great service. My wife and I ate here yesterday and the food was so tasty, I had the pan fried fillet steak in a Gorgonzola sauce which was cooked to perfection and the sauce was amazing, my wife ordered the swordfish which was outstanding. For dessert we asked for Affogato which isn’t even on the menu !! And again sooo tasty, we will continue to use this restaurant for the food but also for the great staff and friendly service.

Seriously the best food in the south east and at really reasonable prices. That barbecue flavour and sauce is 10/10, the smash burgers are fantastic. And all so freshly cooked. Sweet Mary mother of God.

Hands down the best BBQ I've eaten if you haven't tried it I highly recommend it. Truly amazing food smoked to perfection whilst staying juicy and full of flavour.

Me and my partner have been to all the smoke houses in thanet and this is by far the best everything's unique own style sauces that you won't get anywhere else!!! We got a 2 person platter it could have fed 4 adults 2 kids even the dog got to try a bit and kept going back to he's bowl to see if there was more!!

This is legit BBQ. I would have to say the best I've had in the UK since moving here in 2016. The right amount of smoke and the meat still clung to the bone but came off easy. The best ribs are those that do this, if they fall off the bone they aren't done right. They were the perfect ration of juice and tender, with each mouthfull melting against your tastebads. The seasoned fries are a whole other level - These are not ordinary fries. The are seasoned with bacon butter with just the tinyest hint of sugar. While the ribs we outstanding they paled in comparison to the fries. You might wait a bit for your food, just get a table outside on the pavement, have some drinks and do some people watching and take in the fresh sea air.

The best roast dinner I’ve ever had, I would give 10 stars if I could! The roast potatoes were to die for. Fantastic atmosphere and wonderful staff. Thank you No 9. Look forward to returning very soon.

We had the barbecue menu tapas style and the food was delicious. Perfect setting in the sunshine with our little furry family member too!

I was happy with the hospitality and the food. I would have preferred a bit more seasoning, specifically salt but each to their own. The quality was amazing though and £37 for four people is a steal. 👏

Lovely food, had a chicken burger with chicken fillets that had a great crispy coating and sticky toffee pudding with fabulous custard. Was looked after by Emmy and Lia who couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend!

How have we not heard of this place before is beyond me! What an absolute little gem! With family visiting from abroad we often do a mixture of cooking, eating out and take aways! Tonight we really fancied Greek and chose Papa George... As we went to collect our order from the distance we were greeted by a beautiful Greek music and as we entered the restaurant we were warmly greated and treated to a complementary bottle of Greek wine and an extra Baklava! Food - absolutely stunning!! Amazing starters! Mixed grill for 2 was more than enough for 2 adults and 2 small children. And last but not least- Baklava - better then the one we had in Greece! You got yourself new regulars Papa George! THANK YOU!

We had lunch at Papa George in Ramsgate yesterday. We ordered a chicken souvlaki, a pork souvlaki and onion rings.. Wow... We absolutely loved the souvlaki and the onion rings were nice and tasty with some special seasoning. I had the chicken souvlaki. The chicken was well seasoned and tasty and the sauce in it was also lovely. The pitta bread was soft and warm. We absolutely enjoyed our meal. This was our first Greek food and definitely not our last. This restaurant is worth a visit and I definitely recommend.

A fantastic experience from start to finish, Papa George himself poured us shots, gave us complimentary deserts and nibbles for the table. The atmosphere is very homey and feels like you could easily be in a family kitchen. Definitely a gem of Ramsgate and the dining in experience is the best way to experience the lovely staff and host! Couldn't have been happier.

The REAL feel of hospitality and Mediterranean generosity. We were planning for a take out but ended up having dinner with George. Such a great pleasure! Homey food - mom cooks and daughter helps serve the tables. I wouldn’t recommend any other place in Ramsgate. Keep it up legend!

What a gorgeous place! The food was so fresh and tasty. The service was brilliant and the location was so lovely. We felt like we were back in Turkey on holiday!

We ordered lahmacun, lentil soup and shepherd salad and omg it was one of the best in my whole life. Definitely this Turkish restaurant is the best in the UK so far (in terms of taste). Can't wait to go there again. BUT! ... Cons: the service was very slow! We waited almost 30 mins and at least we asked for the soups and then they said ok then we will bring the soups.... whatever we ordered was coming late. fyi, the restaurant was almost empty! I can advise the restaurant manager to please find a solution for this. This was the only red flag for me. Thank you for the most delicious Turkish food.

If you want to feel the real taste of Italian food, this is the perfect place for you. Italian restaurant in a beautiful building near the Marina in Ramsgate. Run by nice people who put their whole heart into entertaining customers with delicious food. Service, taste of food and atmosphere at the highest level. I will be coming back because it is really worth it ❤️

Genuinely one of the best meals we’ve had as a family. We went for an early dinner so we’re the only people there for a while but I’m so glad we did. A fantastic range of gluten free options, the best pasta my child has ever eaten (and they have pasta literally everywhere!), and a fantastic pizza too. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the staff were so friendly and kind. Really knowledgeable about allergies (and we have multiple in our family), and we had a lovely meal and all felt very safe. We don’t live that close but I’m certain will make the trip to come here again.

Wasn't planning to stop, but really glad we did. Very tasty, no nonsense Italian food at very reasonable prices. We will be back again for sure

Lovely pub. Right on coastal path, and about a 15 min walk from the campsite in Ramsgate. Dogs allowed in the bar and made to feel welcome. Food was excellent and good value. Nice Kent ales on tap. Fabulous big sun deck area out the back. Service and staff were excellent, right down to retrieving my lost sunglasses for collection the next day! Thoroughly recommend this pub/restaurant.

Great food, friendly service and fantastic sea views. Book a table upstairs for dinner and watch the tide go out as lots of birds gather, whilst enjoying quality food. The staff are very welcoming and professional and there’s ample free parking. As someone who’s explored a lot of the south coast, i’d consider this a hidden gem if you’re in the area.

Went with family for a lovely Sunday lunch. The staff were very attentive. My Stepmum is in a wheelchair and was able to have a table she could get to. Lovely food. I had the roast beef and a coconut cheesecake. Parking available. Great view of Pegwell Bay too.

Went in on Sunday, hadn't booked and a lovely lady squeezed us in! The food was delicious. We had squid and panko prawns to share to start ( 2 starters) and then haddock and chips x 2 and the mussels! Really tasty food! Great friendly service, and we thought very reasonably priced. For the 3 of us with a pint of beer, pint of cider and a mulled wine, it came to £87.
