What a great find! This place is dog friendly (both inside & out) and serves good Greek food. A family run business, George will greet you with free food for you and your pooches. Having been kicked out of other places to make way for more boozing or dogs not being welcome, Papa George was a haven. If you are visiting Ramsgate with your canine companions, this place is a must visit! P.S. Please order the baclava, it’s homemade and absolutely delicious!

We had lunch at Papa George in Ramsgate yesterday. We ordered a chicken souvlaki, a pork souvlaki and onion rings.. Wow... We absolutely loved the souvlaki and the onion rings were nice and tasty with some special seasoning. I had the chicken souvlaki. The chicken was well seasoned and tasty and the sauce in it was also lovely. The pitta bread was soft and warm. We absolutely enjoyed our meal. This was our first Greek food and definitely not our last. This restaurant is worth a visit and I definitely recommend.

How have we not heard of this place before is beyond me! What an absolute little gem! With family visiting from abroad we often do a mixture of cooking, eating out and take aways! Tonight we really fancied Greek and chose Papa George... As we went to collect our order from the distance we were greeted by a beautiful Greek music and as we entered the restaurant we were warmly greated and treated to a complementary bottle of Greek wine and an extra Baklava! Food - absolutely stunning!! Amazing starters! Mixed grill for 2 was more than enough for 2 adults and 2 small children. And last but not least- Baklava - better then the one we had in Greece! You got yourself new regulars Papa George! THANK YOU!

A fantastic experience from start to finish, Papa George himself poured us shots, gave us complimentary deserts and nibbles for the table. The atmosphere is very homey and feels like you could easily be in a family kitchen. Definitely a gem of Ramsgate and the dining in experience is the best way to experience the lovely staff and host! Couldn't have been happier.

The REAL feel of hospitality and Mediterranean generosity. We were planning for a take out but ended up having dinner with George. Such a great pleasure! Homey food - mom cooks and daughter helps serve the tables. I wouldn’t recommend any other place in Ramsgate. Keep it up legend!
