Used this company on Saturday 4th January 2025. Had a major problem with our sinks and toilet not draining away. Needed some urgent help but was sceptical who to ring. After a few searches on Google I found Canford Drains who had overall amazing internet reviews. Called the owner who sent one of his operatives within 1 hour , I was kept informed of the arrival time constantly. The operative was professional , experienced and sorted the problem within less than an hour. Bearing in mind this was an emergency call out on a Saturday morning and all was sorted within 2 hours of me ringing the cost was very fair. No payment demanded , sent an invoice a few days later. I would recommend Canford Drains to anyone with a drainage issue. Thank you Canford Drains.

Mark has been extremely helpful and understanding on a number of occasions over the phone. We had previously been told by a cowboy company (unbeknownst to us at the time!) that we had thousands of pounds worth of damage and it was urgent we have it done as soon as possible. Phoned Canford Drains (a local company), who reassured us, that with the symptoms we were describing it doesn’t sound as bad as we first thought. Scott has come out to carry out a CCTV survey of our drains today. He has been excellent with showing us the footage, explaining thoroughly what issues there are, how severe / minor they are, and what can be done . This will then all be written up in a report for us along with the footage. (I think this is quite important - the other company didn’t offer us this). Honest and reliable company - wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will definitely be our first port of call with any further issues with ours or our families drains.

I'm currently renovating a property that has been empty for more than 2 years so felt it appropriate to have the drainage system checked & cleaned in preparation for my eventual occupation. To be honest, I didn't ring around for this service - based on previous reviews I only contacted Canford Drains. I haven't been disappointed. True to his word Mark fitted me in at the earliest opportunity. Darren & George did a great job making sense of my system, thoroughly & methodically cleaning everything out & allowing me the opportunity to view the images from the camera. Darren explained everything and put my mind at ease. All very professional. No hesitation in recommending the company.

I've had Canford Drains over twice now - most recently to replace a section of subsided pipework. Fantastic service, brick driveway was put back like nothing has happened. One to keep in the contact list for whenever they are needed and shows why they are so highly rated locally.

As you can see, we've used Joe for years and he's never let us down. Great workmanship and a lovely guy to boot. Worked efficiently, attention to detail, left clean and tidy. Work was at the highest standards. Will keep him in our books and we would warmly recommend him to others.

An absolutel lifesaver! Rang me extremely quickly and was able to give advice over the phone that enabled me to get my heating back on! I have been messed around by two other companies who didn’t even ask the basic questions that Huw did. Huw recently serviced our boiler. His knowledge is first class, very thorough and explains everything without all the usual jargon. He will now become our go to for all our gas/plumbing needs - couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

I picked Steve because he was top of checkatrade. He is very quick at diagnosing and correcting problems. His charges are fair, transparent and combined with speed, excellent value for money. He is very straight talking and professional. Probably the best plumber I have come across in 25 years. The only problem- he is busy and you have to be prepared to wait for a slot.

Steve came over today to give a quote for some works. He went into such detail when explaining what the works would require, and the same day he sent a very detailed summary of our conversation. A great introduction to a professional, genuine guy. Thank you!

So glad to have found Keith since moving to the area. He's always been quick to respond to my calls and the work done for us so far (install outside tap, replace boiler fan, new stopcock, leaking toilet.) has been top quality. Also, he's just a really nice guy to deal with. Already lined him up to replace some radiators for us. Highly recommend.

Excellent service from Ryan, Ryan and all the team during the installation of our air source heat pump. Everything went very smoothly, they were all extremely helpful, knowledgeable and hard working. We are very pleased with the heat pump which is keeping the bungalow very warm. We would have no hesitation in recommending them.

We arranged comparison quotes for an Air Source Heat Pump installation from other local companies. Ryan Newman and Ryan Moulton at Holt Plumbing and Heating gave us a very detailed and competitive quote and they provide a comprehensive service. The installation team were highly professional. Removal of the oil fired boiler and installation of a Nibe Air Source Heat Pump is now complete together with replacement radiators, plumbing and electrics. We have a comfortably warm house throughout the day, and in the evening reduce the heat from bedroom radiators. The hot water provided is more than adequate! We are incredibly impressed with the service that this company provides, and also the technology provided by Nibe, the heat pump is quieter than the old oil fired boiler, and appears to be very energy efficient! We thoroughly recommend this company.

I contacted Lewis to arrange an appointment with him due to a leak in my bathroom. Lewis explained all the stages he would go through to locate the leak. I was very impressed. Lewis arrived on time, was professional and friendly. He located the leak within 2 hours and dealt with it. I was shocked to see the amount of water that was leaking on to the floor under the bath. Lewis was very supportive in what was a very stressful situation for me. I highly recommend this company. Thank you Lewis for doing a great job.

From my initial phone call and conversation with Mark I knew that I was dealing with a professional business. Adrian rang me straight back, discussed the problem and confirmed that he could attend the following morning. He arrived punctually and fully equipped with all the leak finding tools you could think of! It took a while due to other problems, but the leak was detected and suggestions given in respect of the new supply pipe I would need. I have to say that the service wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. In summary, this company delivers what it says it will - punctual, polite, professional. I would have no hesitation recommending them if you need to find an underground leak without digging up your property.

Adrian and the team were great. We had a leak which they correctly discovered and efficiently dealt with. Also a big plus is that they are local to us (in Wimborne) and part of a well established local firm (Canford Drains which is well known in the area). I was also recommended by my insurance broker to try another national firm (Polygon) which was approximately twice as expensive. Would totally recommend Wessex.
