Our job was very small, capping off a leaking pipe from an old defunct heating system still in situ. Artisan came to the rescue and were super efficient, polite, speedy and clean as well as very competently fixing the problem which unfortunately a previous plumber had left us with. We'd highly recommend them and would definitely use them again (when we need to replace our ageing boiler for starters!). A huge thank you.

Artisan were amazing. We first used them when we won a facebook comp for a filtered drinking water tap. They were so professional and tidy we knew then when we were upgrading our bathrooms etc we would use them. From March 19 we started to refurbish the whole house (3 story town house). We liaised with Linda and James (Artisan) on what we wanted to do - the whole house. They would do all our plumbing needs ie., 1 x bathroom, 1 x en-suite and 1 x downstairs WC, all radiators. Linda would also project manage everything as she knows exactly what to do and when to do it. We also needed joiners, painters, electrician, tiler and flooring - and we asked Linda and James who they would recommend as they link in with companies on a regular basis. Again, Linda would project manage everyone as we went with all their suggestions. Together we came up with a price for each of the bathrooms where we chose all the fitments etc. The initial price was a lot higher than we wanted and Linda therefore did a lot of work sending us to Shepton Mallet to choose alternative fittings (but not as expensive). She worked everything out down to the last part and came in at what we wanted to pay. (With the money we saved we did actually get them to do additional work, and changed some things to the most expensive where we deemed it best). James came round every Friday to check on how the work was getting on and pushing the guys along if they need it. He also took all the old materials away each week so we never had anything hanging around for long. The rooms were hoovered and tidied up every day so we could utilise rooms as and when. They sorted out our main bathroom initially so we could then live on our top floor with the bedroom and bath while they worked on the en-suite etc. This worked really well. All the other craftsmen/women were fantastic and of the same high calibre as Artisan. Linda will let you have the details of these if you need them and I suggest you use them if you want a good job. The work was finished after 4-5 months and the house looks amazing - this is all thanks to Artisan as without them we wouldn't have the house/home we do now. They also continued to help out after their work with the plumbing had been finalised. Our Kitchen was done separately through another specialist company. We can't recommend Artisan (Linda and James) enough. They and their workers were brilliant. The craftsman ship of all the work is first class. We spent a huge amount refurbishing and we are pleased with every penny spent. (We have both unfortunately had cowboy builders in the past so know things can go wrong if you don't use a reputable company). An absolutel lifesaver! Rang me extremely quickly and was able to give advice over the phone that enabled me to get my heating back on! I have been messed around by two other companies who didn’t even ask the basic questions that Huw did. It’s such a shame that he has moved out of area because I would love to have been a regular customer! He was really kind, friendly, and knowledgeable! Top guy!

Huw has done amazing work for us one early Saturday morning when we woke up to find a big leak. Felt like we were in good hands from the first communication. Proved equally trustworthy and skilled. Worked efficiently, attention to detail, left clean and tidy. Work was at the highest standards. Will keep him in our books and we would warmly recommend him to others.

Huw recently serviced our boiler. His knowledge is first class, very thorough and explains everything without all the usual jargon. He will now become our go to for all our gas/plumbing needs - couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

Huw managed to squeeze me in short notice at the end of the day to fix some leaky radiator valves. He turned up on time and cracked on straight away. He did a brilliant job at fixing the radiator valves and even went one step further and fixed some pipes that were installed badly by the previous owner. All in all a very reliable tradesman and charges a reasonable price. Highly recommended

I had been let down by another plumber, and Dan was brilliant at fitting me in at short notice. He’s done a fantastic job, is very straightforward, tidy and efficient. I would definitely recommend and use him again.

Had to call Dan as we suddenly had no water and the plumber we normally use wasn’t available. He called back almost immediately then came round, investigated and sorted the problem really quickly. He’s a really friendly guy and explained what he was doing as he did it so we knew what was happening. Very grateful to him and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him again!!

Dan has recently finished a complete bathroom re-fit for us. Work done very competently with every consideration of how we wished it to look. He worked very hard and within time-frame given. A very busy man and highly recommended!

Christian from Fire and Water replaced our boiler last week. We were delighted with the service. Christian arrived on time as arranged with us on each of the days that he worked. He worked in an appropriately covid-safe manner. He left our kitchen tidy and such that we could still cook the meals we needed to. The new boiler is a huge improvement on our old one and we were really pleased with the advice he gave when we were choosing the new model. We would definitely contact Christian again as our first choice for a plumber. We generally contact by email and hear back in a good timeframe.

We’ve used Christian for our heating and plumbing work for years and have always been very happy with him. He recently refitted our bathroom for us, which was a strip back to a shell and start again. From the outset we’ve been very impressed and are absolutely delighted with the finished work- so much so that we asked him to do the downstairs toilet too! Right at the start, Christian gave us a detailed quotation and worked with us to make sure that the bathroom suite was absolutely right and that we had everything required, he lined up the necessary tradesmen, skip, deliveries etc and ran through with us to make sure everything was just right and we knew just what to expect. Christian’s workmanship is excellent, and his attention to detail is very impressive. The bathroom looks amazing and the installation and tiling are flawless, with attention to little details that we wouldn’t have even thought of. The end result really shows the care that he has put into his work- as he says, he treats every project with the same care and focus that he would if he was working in his own house. It's not just the quality of his work that stands Christian out. Stripping out and refitting a bathroom is a big job, but Christian took care to minimise any mess and was very considerate of us when he was working, always leaving things neat and tidy. Christian is clearly very experienced, he’s a good man, and a pleasure to be around. I have found Ace Energy always to be thoroughly efficient and helpful in providing an excellent service. They also recently provided a very fast response in isolating a burst radiator and installing a replacement.

We used a local Dorset distributor to source a pellet boiler + solar thermal combination which they installed using out of area plumbing sub-contractors. This was a mistake for the solar thermal as out of implementation we had no support when issues arose over the last three years. We were recommended to use Ace Energy who have provided us with peace of mind, professionalism, excellent service and value.

Ken is very knowledgeable, competent and committed to providing a very high standard of workmanship. He is also honest and transparent in all his communications, which helps create a strong sense of trust and peace of mind. He is probably the best gas engineer I came across and I would certainly use him again in the future.

I can recommend this company 100%. Kenny is a real expert at both plumbing and (complex) Wifi-based smart heating systems. He fixed my Genius Smart Heating system on two occasions now and got it working when no-one else could. He will go the extra mile for you and is very reasonably priced. HIGHLY recommend.
