Great Service, Great knowledge and advice. Nice to find someone that takes the time to repair and refurbish alternators and starters to these standards. Often they are better than the original manufactured unit!

I felt compelled to submit this review in response to the negative one below as I was very surprised at the negative comments. I have been using AJW for at least 20 years now and most recently for a Subaru alternator rebuild this week. AJW has always been my ‘go to’ place for alternator or starter motor refurbishment and I can honestly say that they have never let me down. In my experience, their refurbished units are easily as good as new or exchange units and I have never had one fail on me. Alan and his family have always been a delight to work with. Granted, their premises are a little scruffy and unorthodox, but that gives them a certain charm in my book. ( As does the old Morris in the driveway.) It is very unfortunate that someone feels fit to ‘troll’ a small family business in the way of the one star review below, but I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. My experiences with Alan and AJW are very long term and additionally very recent and I can find no way to fault the business from my own point of view, so I can only say they I will have no hesitation in continuing to use AJW and would thoroughly recommend others to do the same.

Really helpful sorted us out with the part we needed

Really pleased with the work carried out to install 2 x extractors and a PIV unit. The work was much more involved than first thought, and the poor guy was working in our loft on the hottest day of the year! But he returned a second day to finish up and the original price was honoured. A pleasure having you in our home and feeling the benefits of the extractors and PIV as soon as they were turned on!

I had an electrical outage. My Internet, fridge, and all appliances were out. I called for the emergency call out service and the electrician offered to help me. I sent him a photo of my mains and he was able to walk me through the issue over the phone. Great service, would definitely recommend.

Lewis carried out my job which was reapplying hall lights back on to walls and replacing face switches for new. He was very punctual, friendly and courteous. When completed the job he ensured everything was tidied and I was happy with the work he had done. I shall use this company again and I highly recommend them. Luke is an excellent electrician. He did my full rewire and I have never seen such neat work in all my days! He gave us some excellent ideas too, like hiding an extractor fan behind a steel and hiding sockets in cupboards. I cannot recommend him enough - go get yourself a fab sparky.
