We celebrated our 30th wedding Anniversary and a 60th birthday on the same day. Thanks to the excellent organisation of MGN events, we are still receiving ‘thank you’ notes and messages from our guests for hosting an amazing Party.

I cannot speak highly enough of MGN events and the incredible job they did on our staff summer party. From start to finish, they were professional, organised, and simply amazing at what they do. Despite any potential setbacks or unforeseen challenges, the team remained calm under pressure and ensured that every detail was executed flawlessly. This was the third event we've had the pleasure of working on with MGN events, and once again, they absolutely smashed it. A huge thank you to the team from MGN for making my 40th Birthday celebrations perfect and actually exceed my expectations. The way the dining room was dressed took me by surprise how beautiful it looked, and I had an idea of what to expect. The design, colours, use of the lights looked exquisite. I was genuinely taken back walking into that space. The concert room also looked exquisite, when I walked in after dusk, the lighting transformed that room, it was classy and intimate, perfect for my size party with all the many technical requests I made catered for. Technically you got it spot on with my many requirements. The photos looked amazing, the sound really enveloped me into my performance so I was totally focussed, and sourcing a great keyboard player was great as we got the strings supporting the piano which was one of my original aims! MGN really did make a dream come true for my 40th Birthday, and everybody there will remember it for a lifetime. Several people said it is the “best birthday party they have ever been to” - I think that says it all. Well done, and thank you!

Me and my partner got married on the 17th of July at the beautiful Brookfield Barn venue. As soon as we booked in our date I booked us in for a meeting with the lovely team at To Have and To Hire. From start to finish we had the best experience. Everyone I spoke to was super friendly and helpful, answering any questions I had and helping us to make the best decisions with the vision we had in mind. On the big day, the entire team put my mind at ease with their super fast set up but with an extreme attention to detail! Not only did they perfect our vision perfectly, but they even allowed us to use some of their spare faux flowers to decorate my own sweet cart so that it would tie in with the rest of the flower arrangements on our tables! Our guests complemented every inch of the styling, from the beautiful faux flowers that lined our aisle, to the mixture of high and low centre pieces which allowed people to speak freely and easily around the room. The team even ensured that the chair sashes and table runners matched my colour scheme perfectly! The team created some real statement pieces, these being the utterly jaw dropping faux flower wisteria ceiling with matching wisteria trees, creating a stunning fairytale feel to the barn, and the lovely memorial ladder complete with Bay tree and candles for all our beloved family members who could not be with us. All these things, combined with the cake hoop, the unique table plan and the welcome sign, all with matching florals, tied everything together beautifully and made for a truly magical wedding day and we can't thank To Have and To Hire enough for that, we are forever grateful. You really did make our special day just that extra bit special 🤍 can't recommend TH&TH enough! 🤍

We used TH&TH for some decorative elements at our wedding in Sussex in August and could not be happier with the service. We chose to hire some floral/decorative elements as well as a lounge set for the barn style venue and the pieces worked so well with our theme - the photo spot which was decorated by the team was particularly popular with our guests and we've got some amazing photos and memories. Thank you to all the team for helping to add those special finishing touches to our day.

To Have and To Hire Events were fantastic decorating Upwaltham Barns for our November wedding. The team were amazing putting up all of the draping and fairy lights around the venue which made it look so magical. All of our guests commented on the aesthetic and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The team were also so friendly on the lead up to the day and were helpful with any queries we had. They even custom made our table plan with antlers we provided! Highly recommend this company for all types of events including weddings.

To Have & To Hire did our decoration for our 2 day wedding at Buxted Park Hotel and East Sussex National. They did such an amazing job on both days to help our vision come to life, but what impressed us the most, was our multicultural wedding for the second day. We were wanting a traditional Asian set-up and specifically after a “Mandap” which they had never done before. The Mandap looked incredible and was exactly what we wanted. It wowed all the guests and the centrepieces looked incredible too with some people thinking that the flowers were real! A massive thank you to Sara, Michelle and the team for being the best, super helpful and very communicative throughout the whole process. It helped to make planning a 2-day wedding seamless.

We initially reached out to Green Lily to discuss styling and décor for our wedding, but after meeting Precious, we quickly realised we needed more! After talking through the services, we decided to go for two-week-before coordination, on-the-day coordination, and full styling—and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the moment we met Precious, she just got me. She understood exactly what I wanted and also completely understood my now-husband (who only cared about beer pong and making sure everyone behaved). I felt so listened to—no idea was too small or silly, and Precious always provided thoughtful advice on what would or wouldn’t work. She struck the perfect balance between letting me feel in control and giving me the space to relax. On the day (and during setup the day before), the professionalism of Precious and Sean was truly unmatched. Every vision I had came to life, their attention to detail and problem solving meant that when I walked into the venue after getting ready with my bridesmaids, I was blown away. The little touches they added made it so much more special. They handled all the suppliers so seamlessly that I didn’t even notice anything happening behind the scenes. It felt like all I had to do was enjoy the moment, and they took care of everything else. Honestly, they weren’t just our coordinators and stylists—they were our brains that day, and thanks to them, I was able to switch off completely and soak in every single second. The support they’ve given us before, during, and even after the wedding has been incredible—10/10 doesn’t even begin to describe it. We genuinely feel like we’ve gained a friend. Edna did a wonderful job creating the backdrop and table arrangements for my sister's bridal shower. The whole process leading up to the day was easy with Edna's great communication skills. Having secured our wedding venue we reached out to Edna who came highly recommended, to help us decorate and liaise with vendors. We discussed our visions and My Signature Party more than delivered. To say we were overwhelmed and happy when we 1st walked into our wedding reception is an understatement, the place looked absolutely amazing. Our journey with Botley started on a cold Jan in 2023. Upon arrival Lily & Rachel showed us around the gorgeous barns and grounds and we were able to picture our wedding day there which wasn't due until July 2024. During that long 18 months we were in frequent contact with Lily & team and we had a couple of visits for supplier days and wine selection tasting... which I might add was spectacular, Lily and Rachel made sure we had sampled everything and then some ;) Fast forward to July 2024. I stayed in one of the Shepherds huts the night before the big day (only available under certain circumstances) which was very relaxing and brilliant to get a feel for what was about to come. On the day the Botley team were in full swing and everything was perfect. Lily, Rachel and team kept every single promise and went above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly and that the Bride (my new wife), Bridesmaids our guests were comfortable and well looked after. I was the Photographer a wedding here last week and I can't tell you how awesome this venue is. The staff are so lovely (theres even a cat) and they were on hand all day to help. the venue itself is stunning, the views out the back at great and the barn itself with that big glass window is iconic. The ceremony room is a stone barn with great natural light and a small prep room on the mezzanine. The wedding breakfast room is a large room with air conditioning and a bar. Theres a gate out to the fields where we went for couples portraits and the sunsets over the hills which makes for some awesome sunset photos. I can't wait to come back to this venue!

We had the most incredible wedding day at The Barn at Botley Hill! From start to finish, everything was beyond perfect. The venue itself is breathtaking, and our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how beautiful it was. A special mention goes to Kate and Lily, who were absolutely amazing throughout the entire planning process and on the big day itself. Their attention to detail, support, and calm presence made us feel completely at ease. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better team to help make our day so special. Where to start on this incredible setting, venue and team. Everyone involved at Botley have been simply superb from the moment we first walked into the venue. The team are part of your special day all the way through and make each moment count. The biggest praise I could give them would be how the guests commented that everything ran to clock work, nothing was too much trouble and they just cared so much about making our day so very special. We cant thank them enough and couldn’t recommend them more highly to anyone looking at the venue. A truly 5 star experience that we will never forget.

From the outset Sophie was professional, genuinely interested and knew the right questions to ask. On the day itself she was a godsend. In the 30 degree heat and the general craziness that is your wedding day, she handled everything brilliantly and I felt in safe hands throughout. She ensured everyone was in the right place at the right time and as a result the whole day went perfectly and without a hitch. To top everything she's a truly lovely girl and my only regret is that I didn't have her on board earlier! I would recommend her wholeheartedly.

What Sophie gave us was the ability to truly enjoy our wedding day. She took the stress away and allowed us the time to breath and indulge and laugh and dance and be free to feel the emotion and love of an event that meant so much to us and our family. Without all of what Sophie brought to both the planning, the preparation and the day, our wedding just would not have been what it was - the most fun, emotional, enjoyable, personal day of our lives. From start to finish it was a thousand times more brilliant than what we'd dreamed of.

Sophie’s help planning my wedding was invaluable. My husband and I were very busy in the lead up to our big day (and living in another country to where our nuptials were taking place). Sophie’s organization and attention to detail left no stone unturned and ensured every element was thought of, and taken care of. This allowed us to enjoy the experience, knowing she had everything covered. Often couples don’t realize how much work it is to organize a wedding, and how many elements must be arranged in synergy in order for everything to go to plan. Having a wedding planner is as much about what you DON’T see as what you do. Sophie was the invisible glue behind the scenes - linking the caterers, the hotel staff, the florist, dj and guests. Some months later we attended another wedding where the transitions between the cocktail, the dinner and the party were a bit confusing. They needed a Sophie.
