Been here a number of times over the past few years and absolutely love it. The service and atmosphere is great and the food is fantastic and well priced. I always get the bruschetta to start, it’s lovely! I always look forward to coming back.

I had an awesome dinner, the Calves Liver on the specials menu was the special draw card for me and I was not disappointed. A defining dish for me in Italian cuisine that is sadly not often on the menu in our local Italian restaurants. It was wonderfully prepared and presented. Portions are generous and service was personal and good. Highly recommended authentic southern Italian food.

Full disclosure, I'm not a big fan of Italian food. Having said that, this restaurant was very good. The food was excellent and quite filling. The service was good. We would certainly go back the next time we are in the area. Worth a visit.

We have been here for a small holiday in York, but stay in the hotel at Wetherby for 3 days. We searched from Google and recommended this restaurant for the best Indian food. No wonder with those reviews. We came here for 2 days, so I would like to recommend who likes Indian food to come to this restaurant, you will definitely not be disappointed. Great food, good price, friendly staff and very delicious.

Outstanding! We went for a family meal for my partners 50th and the whole experience was faultless. They allowed me to go in when the restaurant was shut to set up balloons etc. The service and food were incredible on the night and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thank you for a wonderful evening. 😁

Once again, another perfect night at the Bengal Lounge. Food as per usual was amazing. Been coming here for quite a few years and it's always consistently fantastic. Best Indian/Bangladeshi food in the area and maybe even further afield. If you haven't tried it here yet, you should. You won't regret it!

A delicious Haddock n Chips with mushy peas. The batter was nice and thin and crispy, the fish cooked beautifully flakey and moist. And a Black Sheep beer, happy days!

Lovely fish and chip shop with a great restaurant upstairs to boot. There was a queue to get in and you had to wait on the staircase but it was the busiest bit of lunch. Once seated we were served quickly and the food came quickly too. All in I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a classic fish and chips.

Nice, clean restaurant with friendly professional staff and comfortable seating. Good variety of food on offer, the chips, peas and onion rings were to a high standard. The trifle for dessert was delicious. Staff weren't trying to hurry you along so you could enjoy your meal in peace.

This is an unfairly late review, especially considering our delightful weekend stay in early summer. Every single member of staff seemed markedly pleased to be working at the Wood Hall Hotel, they were each genuinely lovely, and truly *enjoyed* being hospitable. They are an asset! I wish I could remember the room number now, but it was one with a bay window and a pretty view. We arrived exhausted and left on the Sunday definitely buoyed up. I do recommend.

We’ve been a couple of times now and it’s always been fantastic. The staff were delightful and very attentive, and the food as always was stunning. My grandma said it’s the best sticky toffee pudding she’s ever had, and she is notoriously fussy! The environment is also beautiful as always. We mentioned at the start that it was my sisters birthday and they got her a brownie with candles. Truly lovely staff, and a great experience.

Lovely food, excellent service. We didn't stay so I can't comment on the rooms. We'll definitely be back in the better weather to make the most of the walks.

First visit. Definitely would recommend. Welcoming friendly and an excellent Sunday lunch. Decent portions and quality meat plus trimmings. Not Forgetting the delicious Home-made cream of horseradish sauce Would recommend ****

We had Sunday lunch at the Bay Horse, spent £20 - 30 per person for two courses (starters & main) and I'd recommend it. The starter of homemade black pudding was excellent, I then had the roast beef served rare and my wife had the roast pork. Both were delicious. The only criticism is that I had to wait nearly half an hour for an espresso after the meal, but even with this I'd still drive back there from Sheffield for a meal.

We were just driving past and decided to pop in to see if they had availability for Sunday lunch, which luckily for us they did. We hadn’t read any reviews before we went so we’re trying blind but so glad we found this little gem. The homemade rosemary and sea salt bread was a nice touch and very good. The starter of home made black pudding was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend. The roast beef was outstanding, perfectly cooked and all the sides were fab. I’d definitely suggest ordering some of the cauliflower cheese on the side as well. We just had the one dessert of sticky toffee pudding and again this was excellent, even the ice cream with it was great. It’s very clear the food served is of the highest quality and all fresh. It’s not the cheapest Sunday lunch but is one of the best ones we have had. We would definitely recommend and will be back. Thanks to all the staff for a great visit. I’ve put some pictures on of our starters and dessert although totally forgot to take one of the mains when they came.

arrived to be greated by friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, great to hang out having drink and socially with friends, the Sunday roast chicken, great amount portion and then especially the sticky toffee and apple, rhubarb and raisan crumble with custard and all homemade. definitely coming again

We had two dinners with over 10 people each time. The first went pretty well but we had problems on the second visit with the food service being delayed for a couple of the party. However, a really great place overall with great food and friendly service. I wish I lived closer!

This was my first time trying Thai food and was pleasantly surprised, although compact for seating in the cafe the food was amazing and the prices were great. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Totally recommend

I got a delicious takeaway of Phad Thai and some spicy chips. Made my day a lot better; I’ll make sure to eat in at this place next time I want Thai food!

Amazing restaurant, I visited about 2 years ago but went again tonight and it was better than I remember. Amazing taste and presentation on the meals. Brilliant relaxed atmosphere 😎 Great little gem in Wetherby.

Popped in from other reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Food is spot on. Service was great. Only niggle. £4 for a soda & lime. Always bugs me. Seems to be a theme for Indian restaurants.

I have been a regular for decades, the atmosphere is very good, welcoming and friendly. The family has also eaten there many times, so have many friends and the food and service is excellent. Highly recommend

Came here with my friend and my son for lunch. We had booked as it gets so busy apparently. Lunch menu was lovely, lots of choice and very reasonably priced. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Could do with a bit of TLC however it would not put me off visiting again as it was lovely.

Nice, traditional pub in Wetherby. Very good fresh food, outstanding quality, value and presentation. Loved our visit, will return. Meals were salmon and sausage and mash.

Lovely place. We ordered our food and it was quickly served. The meal was very tasty and hot until the last bite. Reasonable priced too. Staff were very friendly.

We loved our bottomless brunch on Saturday, the staff were very welcoming and Callum was very attentive throughout our whole experience brunching! The food was lovely and you had a choice of every drink you could think of on the menu. This was super value for money and the staff and atmosphere made the experience- thank you!

It's Genuinely lovely food and the staff are incredibly attentive. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: lively enough to feel the buzz, but not so loud that you can't enjoy a good conversation. Highly recommend!
