Food was absolutely beautiful! The restaurant it's self was clean and decorated well. Staff ( Rosie and Hiwa )welcomed us and we're attentive throughout. We will visit again.

Booked here for 3 of us. The restaurant looked clean, tidy and modern. We were seated straight away. It was only a small menu but had plenty of choice. Our orders were taken and our food arrived promptly. The staff were friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our food. They also sang “happy birthday” to my husband but I missed it as I’d nipped to the loo ha ha. But all in all we enjoyed our food and would happily return in the future. Oh I believe you can park for free in Newmilller Dam carpark after 6pm too.

Had a very delicious hot roast dinner today, veg was nice & soft, meat was very tasty. I will definitely well recommend the Sunday dinners. Very friendly staff, & so polite. Thankyou for your hospitality

Food was very nice but we did experience a bit of a wait. Hoping it's a one off and we aren't put off visiting again but would have preferred faster service

30th Birthday Party bash, fab place, clean, good service, staff were on it particularly with ID for the younger one's. Buffet was good, DJ spot on with Karaoke. Great pub and seemed busy in general.

Excellent pub which serves good quality and value food and a great function room & a good kids menu the staff are very friendly & can't do enough to help .

Just been for a last minute meal at The Castle before our gig tonight and the food and service was excellent. Sam and Grant were very polite and accommodating, the atmosphere was peaceful and the decor was lovely.

Fantastic Sunday roast. Everyone enjoyed, Yorkshire puddings huge and gravy was great. Belly pork was tasty - if on the small side but the chicken was fantastic! Has vegan options as well which is handy. Staff were very friendly and spot on. Ella and Alicia were fantastic. Would recommend and will go again!

The first time visiting the Elephant and castle fantastic food all freshly cooked. Toni and her staff were brilliant very friendly and attentive nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be going again and highly recommend it.

Call here mostly twice a week, mid walk. Service is great. Lovely well kept outside area when the weather is good. Lovely family run pub. Haven't eaten here but understand the food is lovely. Definitely seen some lovely looking food being served.

**Restaurant Review: A Delightful Sunday Lunch at The Elephant and Castle** Yesterday, we had the pleasure of enjoying Sunday lunch at The Elephant and Castle, and it was truly a memorable experience. My two daughters, who are both fussy eaters and have several allergies, were thoroughly catered for—a rare feat for most restaurants. The lady who served us, whom I believe to be the owner, went above and beyond to ensure our meal was perfect. Her attention to detail and understanding of our dietary needs were exceptional. The Sunday roast, in particular, was one of the best I have ever had—flavourful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. This wasn’t our first visit to The Elephant and Castle, and it certainly won’t be our last. Both the service and the food continue to impress, making it one of our favourite spots. If you’re looking for a place that combines outstanding food with impeccable service, this is it.

Came here earlier this evening and the owner (sorry I didn't get your name 🙈🙈), but as soon as we walked in, it was like home from home. Very, very welcoming, and it was like stepping in a best friends house. The food came out in ample time, served really nicely too and all the staff were just so friendly. We went to the talbot restaurant for the 8 course tasting menu, last night and had an amazing experience!! The food was as high a standard as any top restaurant in a big city. There was a great variety of dishes and we enjoyed them all. We decided to have the pairing wine option, which added to the experience. Tavy, the wine expert. Was extremely knowledgeable about all the wines and how they complemented the dishes. What made the evening so special were the staff. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were looked after. All the waitresses were extremely professional and told us about each dish. I will definitely be returning!!

What an absolute delight! I visited today while my car was being serviced locally (Wright’s Valet - also amazing). I checked it would be ok for me to wait, with a drink, my book and perhaps some food. I was made so welcome! Got a great pint and settled down to read. The food coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful, and all the staff team were working flat out, with such friendliness and enthusiasm - a really great vibe. Customers were very friendly and chatty, there was a lovely warm fire and I wished I didn’t have to drive as I would happily have stayed longer (and sampled more beer!). I decided to order lunch and went for the rare sirloin with all the usual trimmings. It was first class - beautiful beef, roasties, a huge Yorkie and fabulous veg. I wish I was local - it would be a real pleasure to make this a regular visit. Hats off to all concerned.

Me and my partner went for a meal and had arancini for starter, the mushroom pie and steak for our mains, and a dessert cocktail afterwards. All was absolutely lovely and great service, looking forward to going again.

We visited over Christmas for the second time since it had been taken over. Both visits were great, food delicious and attentive staff. Great atmosphere with a cosy fire, and super dog friendly! Lady was treated to a handful of treats and water on arrival. We can't fault either meal we have had. The first being Sunday lunch, and on our most recent visit I opted for steak and my partner had Scampi. Good portion sizes, well presented meals. Looking forward to returning and trying more meals.

Has a lovely lunch here today either my friend. It has new management and the whole ambience is lovely. Real fires, really friendly staff, good food. Nothing was too much trouble for them to make our visit pleasant. I think they are trying to make it a really good, old fashioned pub where company and chat is paramount. Menu was smallish but something on there for everyone. I enjoyed the Brie/cranbury toasted sandwich, beautifully presented. Can't recommend this highly enough. Please go and enjoy a lovely experience

Met my mum at The Three Houses as it's roughly half way for us both to travel to meet up. Food was delicious. We had the Sunday roast - 1 beef and 1 pork, followed by dessert of cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding. Very tasty. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. My baby was getting upset and I asked to move tables to a quieter area at the back. The staff moved all my items including my pushchair, which was really, really helpful! It didn't feel like I'd asked too much and they were super apologetic - They didn't need to be! We will be returning 😊 Thanks for being supportive and helping me in my early days of motherhood 😊

It was very enjoyable the staff were friendly and I felt waited on the food came out faster than I expected as I was told 30 - 45 minutes which was a plus although I definitely preferred my partner's food to my own it was still delicious and I would definitely return. The drinks were also very nice I had the berry sour cocktail which was delicious unfortunately the frozen cocktail machine was out of order but hopefully on my next visit it will be fixed.

Lovely choice available and the meal was really nice. I will definitely be back!

We had our Christmas dinner here for a party of 8, the service was outstanding, the food was honestly absolutely gorgeous it came out so quick and all piping hot! We will definitely be booking again for next Christmas. Thank you for making our Christmas that bit better
