Lovely inn with a fantastic view across the countryside. Service was quick, food was plentiful and tasty, still managed to fit a pudding in though. Prices on par with other establishments - glad I was only paying for one šŸ˜€

Arranged to meet a work colleague , I stay in the Las Vegas of the North , Blackpool and she travelled up from Digby. Iā€™d looked on line for somewhere half way and found this little gem . The reviews prior to our visit were really good and looking at the menu we decided to get it booked and meet up. No dramas booking on line. Arrived in plenty of time and the staff got us menus with lunch specials and the mains and drinks whilst we looked through the menus . It took us an age to decide as there was that much choice and people were ordering around us and we were getting food envy , everyone the staff bought something else out from the kitchen. We eventually went for dough balls and chicken Goujons starters. We shared as they were to good to keep to ourselves . For the mains we both had the hanging chicken kebabs, one chilli and one garlic . You could select what fries you wanted with it and came with pitta and sauces. Just when we thought it couldnā€™t get any better , we checked out the desserts and even tho there was plenty of selection , we both went for biscof cheescake , which I can only say was , life changing . Top surroundings , unreal food and staff on point . GET YOURSELF TO HARVEYS

Always an amazing experience to dine in/ takeout at Harveyā€™s. Food is consistently amazing quality and fresh. The restaurant itself is nice to dine in both inside and out and is very clean. Will always choose to come back, my favourite place to dine in Huddersfield. Only slight negative would be that parking is limited making it harder for assess especially if you are blue badge owner.

**10/10 Dining Experience ā€“ Perfect Steak and Exceptional Service!** We had an incredible dining experience on Friday! The steak was cooked to absolute perfection ā€“ exactly how we like it ā€“ and the flavours were outstanding. A special shout-out to Karen, our server, who was not only friendly and attentive but also gave us fantastic recommendations. Her suggestion for the sauce was spot-on, and my partner absolutely loved it! Everything from the food to the service was top-notch, and we couldnā€™t have asked for a better evening. Highly recommend this place, and weā€™ll definitely be back

Sunday lunch visit recommended by my son. In part because of the views at the rear. Clearly very popular and rightly so. It's a Vintage Inn pub. So wooden frame furniture, pastel paints etc brand decoration. Service was very attentive by Karen, helped by her laughing at my banter. Drink was brought to the promptly. The lazy choice Doom Bar on offer but the much better flavoured local beer Leeds Pale on offer. Ideal lunch beet with a low alcohol content. The food was served efficiently and well presented. I had turkey. But the portion was quite small and included a large fatty piece. Our server Karen, politely laughed at my nonsense banter. The staff were very friendly and smiley. My choice of dessert proved to be unavailable. But chose the Lemon bruleed tart, which was excellent. Maybe a sour coolie better than bland blueberry? Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I'd recommend you go and I will gladly revisit

The Kaye Arms

29 Wakefield Rd, Grange Moor, Wakefield WF4 4BG, UK | Pub
P: 01924 929444

Rating: 4.4 (1167) Price Level:

Arrived at the Kaye Arms for lunch on route to Wakefield, we were informed they closed at 3pm but were still serving food. We were seated in the bar area and given menuā€™s. A waitress came and took our drinks order while we perused the meals on offer. We both selected a dish from the 2 dine for Ā£21.99 deal. We admired the decor as we waited for our lunch, it was rustic and definitely in keeping with the style of the property. Our food arrived, I had gone for the crispy Cajun butter milk chicken burger while my wife selected the grilled chicken shish kebab. Both meals were excellent the chicken was well cooked, succulent and had plenty of flavour, the homemade chips were chunky, skin on and well seasoned. We both enjoyed the food immensely and thought that Ā£28.39 for two meals and 2 coffeeā€™s was very good value. The staff were polite and attentive but not overbearing. We will certainly return if travelling this way again.

We came here for an office christmas meal. Even though the place was busy, they managed to get all the seperate courses out at the same time, and that were short waits for drinks. Staff were polite and professional. Food was delicious, but I think there could have been sides with the vegetarian option and the poached pears would have been better hot.

Had Sunday lunch here, and it was great! Would highly recommend. The food was perfect, and came out very quickly to our table of 6. With 3 vegetarians we were very impressed with the number of available options, the only comment on this would be that it was surprising that there was no vegetarian Sunday roast option. Each of our group commented throughout on how good their food was, both mains and dessert, and the generous portion sizes. If we lived closer we would be going back often

The Foxglove

36a Penistone Rd, Kirkburton, Huddersfield HD8 0PQ, UK | Pub
P: 01484 602101

Rating: 4.3 (1338) Price Level:

We called for lunch, good choice on the menu, their website says dog friendly, the facilities, were more treating dogs like VIPs, a stack of dog water bowls available & a large water dispenser, rugs & blankets. The dog who was with us only complaint was no toys but who wants a dog playing & running around when we're trying to eat, once we'd explained that he was on board again. Food was great, large portions for lunch but great value.

Just popped in to have a Sunday Lunch at the Foxglove in Huddersfield. First time weā€™ve visited. Was lovely in side, real fire burning on a snowy day. I had a beef and partner had the pork. Both was lovely, with right amount of vegetables and Yorkshire pudding, but the Pork was the best Iā€™ve ever tasted, anywhere. Will go back just for that. everyone was really friendly and helpful, from the manager and especially Grace. Will definitely visit again..

We decided to visit for a nice Sunday carvery after our little boys swimming lesson. We were just about to go up to get it and then there was a power cut. We sat about for a while wondering if the power was going to come back on, it didnā€™t so we went up anyway and ate in the dark . The power did eventually come back on so we were able to get desserts. The staff were brilliant during the outage. It was a new experience but it hasnā€™t put us off from returning

I had the pleasure of dining at Silkwood farm, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious, with every dish perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. What truly set this visit apart, though, was the exceptional service. Lizzy, our waiter, was outstanding! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. She took the time to ensure we had everything we needed and even gave great recommendations from the menu. Itā€™s rare to find someone so genuinely kind and dedicated to making your dining experience special. I canā€™t recommend this restaurant enough. Great food, great ambiance, and amazing service thanks to Lizzy! Iā€™ll definitely be back soon.

We all had carvery which was very decent price and great size. Meats were hit and miss gammon being excellent and beef being a little overcooked for our preference but overall very tasty. The deserts here were amazing especially for value, portions so big we had to take some home with us! Atmosphere was great really appreciated having a adult area which was quieter. All our servers were super attentive and friendly, definitely made the trip nicer. Thank you to our server Lucy for the experience.
