Modern bar, relatively good selection of beers. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, the outside area is great... Large covered and uncovered areas. Not eaten here but the food I saw that came out looked great, although looking at the menu ita at the higher end of the cost scale which is to be expected for the area. Came across a relatively abrupt bar lady who I think was a manager/supervisor but the rest of the bar staff were friendly enough.

We held my husband Harry's 'special' surprise birthday celebration in the upstairs bar/room on Sunday 24th November. Everything was perfect. The staff couldn't have done more for us, they were all great. The buffet was really tasty, using lovely bread and tasty fillings and great side dishes to accompany them. Had a Christmas meal with a group of friends last night. The food was great , lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Great value as well.

This pub is fairly local to me and I havnt a clue why I hadn't been here before. It's a fantastic pub. Great food, beautiful inside especially all the Xmas light, I sat in the stable restaurant this time. The staff are so lovely and friendly..and chatty and attentive to your every needs. 10/10 from me! Love it..

We spent Christmas Day at The Angel. We had such a lovely time. The 3 course food was excellent and the service was so aware this enabled us to relax and enjoy. We were the last to leave as we were having such a good time. The stable area was decorated amazingly and set out to make the Christmas spirit. Well done and thank you.

This pub dates back to 1378. It’s a low beamed building so watch your head. Menu was good and food delicious. Staff helpful and friendly. There was a real fireplace burning. It’s a very kids friendly and dog friendly place. Customer car park round the back and beer garden for warmer months.
