Great Sunday roast, if not only the best I had in a long time. Since I’ve arrived, I felt welcomed. Despite not having a reservation, the waiter has found a table for me. The service was attentive and professional from start to finish. The food was tasty and well balanced. I recommend having Sprouts and Bacon as a side as well. Definitely recommend it, and definitely I will try it again

Delicious yummy food, the meat chops were so tasty, chips amazing, yummy sauces and the brocoli salad was out of this world. The bread to finish the tasty juices off. Very nice cocktails to start with too. Attention to detail was spot on. Service friendly yet very attentive and professional. Reasonably priced and great value for money. Highly recommend!

We were welcomed by Paul who was lovely and made sure we knew how everything worked with the Sunday roasts. He was very accommodating for a dietary needs and even gave us extras to account for the things we couldn’t eat. Recommended a great wine too. The food came out so quickly, we opted to share the trio roast which was phenomenal. You get so much for the price. We also had the lovely Dermot bring us our wonderful cheesecake dessert which was incredible. He made sure we were well taken care of and comfortable at the bar when we had to be moved as we had been there a little too long! He went out of his way to make sure all of our needs were met. Overall an incredible visit and would definitely go again and hopefully be served by Dermot and Paul!

My partner & I had a long layover in London & decided to turn to google maps to find a place to have dinner. This place came up & the review looked good. I’ll tell you this place was delicious! Everything we had was cooked to perfection! Every bite was mouth watering. The drinks were good as well. The staff are very attentive & it was a great atmosphere. Because we came from the airport we had our carry on bags & they were kind enough to store those away for us & also my phone was dying & they charged it for me. 10/10 great service, when I’m back in London I’ll definitely be back!

A really nice high end brunch we had, the elevator ride is a thing to experience on its own. I can imagine going in for a cocktail at night would be amazing given the view. Service was quick, the staff friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. Loved all of it. Just know there's only two toilet stalls for the ladies. Still, great experience overall.

The food here is delicious, but what really sets it apart from a lot of places is the view. Such an incredible view of London in a nice and relaxed environment. The food was expensive but we enjoyed the food and had excellent service. They even gave us a little birthday cake because we had booked for a birthday, which was really thoughtful and made the evening extra special. I would recommend for a relaxed birthday setting or for anyone who loves a good view of London.

Absolutely love this place, been here a few times at different hours of the day and the standards are pretty much the same at all times! Wonderful and friendly staff, fantastic cocktails made by the bar staff whilst waiting to be seated in the restaurant and even then the service continues at a wonderful level. Panoramic views across London whilst eating, what more can you ask for! My go to dish is of course the Duck and Waffle, it’s just brilliant especially with the maple syrup that also comes with it. Great starters too. Our waiter was wonderful, and made us laugh throughout the night whilst we were there. I love the fact that Duck & Waffle is open 24/7, which satisfies the odd craving. One thing I would say is that before it was a lot stricter on dress code, and it is nice to see that it seems a little more relaxed in terms of the whole “smart casual” attire, I just hope it doesn’t go to a too casual of a look. Regardless, it’s a great place and a must if you are around Liverpool Street, the food is great, view is great, drinks are great! You are guaranteed a good night out here! Looking forward to going again soon! I would highly HIGHLY recommend to try if you have not before.

Food was delicious! It's very straightforward. We tried the duck and waffle, lobster roll, truffle fries, and the honey glazed pork belly. They are exactly how I expect them to taste. The server was amazing. She was very accommodating. My aunt told them that it was my birthday, so they surprised me with a cake. When my family wanted to do a do over of the serving of the cake because they weren't able to take a video, our server gladly did so. That was very nice and sweet of her. This is the type of restaurant I would want to spend special occasions at.

The duck and waffles was a very unique dish as a visiting American who had only tried chicken with waffles. I’d definitely recommend you try it. I also tried The grilled octopus and flavor-wise it was good, but it’s definitely an acquired taste, I’d say. The octopus seasonings were a bit sour and the texture may throw some people off, it was a tad slimy on the outer skin but the inner meat was firm and I enjoyed it. Take a step outside of your comfort zone and try something new! The only con I’d comment on if I had to would just be that it did take a bit of time to get our check when we finished. But I understand they are a busy restaurant. I’d also recommend getting a reservation if you’re expecting a table. I personally didn’t mind sitting at the bar to eat though but larger groups would likely prefer a table so just fyi. But overall I’d absolutely recommend this place! It is a little hidden though if you’re walking to it but once you walk inside there’s a person there who will assist you. Just take the elevator to the top floor and enjoy the view and delicious food/drinks! We spent about £86 for 2 people to have a meal and a drink.

Booked here for my partner's birthday, we were welcomed at the door and our coats taken to be hung up. The restaurant was fairly full and had a great atmosphere. Our waitress came along promptly, introduced herself & asked if we wanted water for the table. Gave us time to look at the menu before ordering. My partner had the Asian Duck salad followed by the pork schnitzel and I had the mozzarella followed by the Tuna, we ordered green beans, broccoli spears and mash to go with them. The food was well presented and very tasty...we were too full for desserts. Highly recommend this restaurant

Let's say Ivy is always a safe choice. Warm colourful interior, very nice & attentive staff and good selection of food, wines, cocktails... All dishes look great but missing a bit of extra touch in regards to the taste. Paid 30£ for a blackened cod fillet with green beans. No salt or pepper on it, nothing special really.

Waited a few weeks to share this... Christmas menu was pretty spot on - the fried squid was a bit disappointing, but the first time I've had it present like that. Wasabi mayo was good - turkey, really tasty. I only ordered it for festive reasons and it kicked my expectations out the door. Perfect balance with cranberry sauce. I thought the main was a bit small, but really nice. - the snowman. Just get it. Worth the surcharge, fun, satisfying and gorgeous. Service was really nice. Though apparently the service charge doesn't get given to the staff? The reception staff were a bit clinical and cold, I saw people waiting like tools a bit for awhile. So that might spoil the experience. In general, beautiful and elegant venue

A great spot for a city/working lunch staff were attentive. The venue had a relatively relaxed vibe and almost felt like a total escape from the city hustle and bustle. The 2 courses for £20ish is a relative bargain. Food was pretty good for the price and well presented. Definitely going on the list for convenience and price point.

We recently enjoyed the express lunch, which offered excellent value for money. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. The food was delicious, and as a special touch for my sister’s birthday, the server acknowledged our request and surprised us with homemade chocolate truffles. To top it off, the server kindly arranged for us to access the roof garden for pictures, making the celebration even more memorable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

Friends and I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. It’s a hidden gem in the city. The views from the rooftop are spectacular. The areas are well maintained and many photo opportunities for memories. The staff were wonderful and catered to our every need above and beyond they were led by head waiter Lenny who was fantastic in his service. Lenny was interested in his guests and gave pleasant conversation which we were delighted by and just hearing how much of the world he had seen was a great pleasure adding to the delight of the dining experience in such a lovely atmosphere. The rooftop views are spectacular and time was still spent taking photo opportunities to save happy memories. We will definitely go back there again and we will have lunch and stay till it closes. Drinks were perfect and selections plentiful. 10/10 all day long. Well done team.

This is the best experience in London. I went to some fancy restaurants but I wasn’t happy with the service and food. This establishment has everything on a high level. The food, the wine selection and the service were excellent. I had reservation for a lunch but now I am going to be back for dinner because I want to try more of their food. The place is located on the roof top so you have to find an elevator. Just use google map and it will take you to the lift.

We booked bottomless brunch option and really enjoyed our time at the restaurant. For £38 you get 2 dishes, there were lots of options to choose from and the food was delicious. This month they are offering champagne as an option for a bottomless drink and it was a generous offer. What was confusing is that the entrance to the building is shared with Garden 120 and there was a long queue when we arrived - it was not clear if there was an option to skip the queue for restaurant guests; the woman at security was rude, which spoiled the impression a bit.

Went here for an anniversary, and had a great time. They have an absolutely beautiful interior and atmosphere as well as a lovely view. Staff are great, they let us know that service was a bit slow and gave is a free little snack while we were waiting. Food portions are decent but could be a bit bigger for the price you’re paying. Not much the way of parking either. Overall great experience and would recommend if you don’t mind spending over £60 a head

Always a bit apprehensive about set menus around Christmas. This was the best one I have ever had a good choice. Even the Christmas turkey dinner was the best I have had and would highly recommend it. We had the ribeye steak. Smoke salmon and roasted beetroot for starters. And desert chocolate mouse and sticky toffee pudding. Service was friendly and attentive. We lovely the walk through with the lift it felt like we walked out if one place into another time.

To state the obvious: Amazing views all around, the extra charge for a window seat is worth it (£10). We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Sometimes restaurants with unique selling points like amazing views offer only mediocre dining, however, this is not the case at all! The vegan and regular full English were great in taste and good value for money. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would recommend it and also come back as well. There are only two minor things that could be improved to make the experience perfect: Have a larger tea pot option or unlimited black tea and not charge extra for milk alternatives.

The food was also great, the duck and pancakes were incredible, and we also loved the prawn dumplings. I recommend it! Also, special praise for the service, all the waiters were friendly and very kind, when our waiter made a mistake and brought us one of the dishes we didn't order, they quickly brought our order and didn't charge us for the one they brought because of the mistake. We went to the Ivy Asia, St Paul’s on 18 January Saturday and it was the most wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious and we tried many different dishes! There are too many to mention, but one of my favourites was the lamb rack! We dined in the private room which was very special and it had lovely decor with a nice view! Our server, Brandon was very friendly and he was attentive and on hand to answer any questions and recommend any dishes! His service was first class! Amazing dining experience at The Ivy Asia St Paul's. The decor of The Ivy Asia was absolutely breathtaking, a perfect blend of Japanese and Chinese styles that created a serene yet sophisticated atmosphere. We were seated in a private room called Edo, and it was simply gorgeous—a feast for the eyes before the food even arrived! Speaking of the food… wow! Every dish was not only incredibly tasty but also presented with such elegance that it felt like art on a plate. Each bite was a delight, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. A big shoutout to Brandon, who provided us with top-notch service. He was attentive, professional, and made the whole experience even more memorable. Gaucho City Of London

1 Bell Inn Yard, City of London, London EC3V 0BL, UK | Restaurant
P: 020 7626 5180

Rating: 4.4 (1073) Price Level:

I don't know why so many people have developed a negative attitude to Gaucho (judging by various reviews across their restaurants). I've been to this one twice in the last three months and I was really impressed on both occasions. Both times I've visited have been Fridays and the restaurant was very quiet. During the summer holidays on my last visit, there was only one other couple there for lunch. Food and service was excellent. The steaks were really tasty and nicely cooked. Deserts were pretty good too (with the added touch of a birthday message!). It is quite pricey, but then what isn't these days. Good place to go for a special occasion.

For a Tuesday lunchtime, I was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's atmosphere. The service was good. We ordered from the legacy menu, which offers good value but doesn't include sides. The steak, requested medium-rare, appeared correctly cooked but was disappointingly tough. The standout dish wasn't the steak but the empanada. Unfortunately, the upright seats were extremely uncomfortable due to worn-out padding. This visit to Gaucho after many years reminded me why I hadn't returned for steak in so long.

Yum! What an amazing experience this was - the food was off the hook good! The appetizers were amazing, each one was unique and tasty, and they even had gluten free bread to serve - which for London is a pretty big deal. The main courses were all well seasoned, cooked to perfection and accompanied by very tasty sauces - each steak was cooked according to request (which rarely happens) - every one of us left super happy! 12/10 - excellent job!

Our first visit to Paternoster chop house and were very pleased with the experience . It was very quiet probably due to a lack of money just after Christmas .Restaurants we passed in the local area were equally short on clientele. One downside of this was that some menu items such as Oysters and catch of the day were unavailable .However the food we had was very tasty and high quality. The service was good and the server gave a good recomendation for my steak . The overall cost was comparable with other restaurants in London .My wife chose the fixed 3 course menu which was very reasonable . Overall a good choice of venue for our overnight stay in town.
