Fantastic. Since British food has not a very good reputation worldwide, I wanted to give a try to a Michelin star restaurant there to see what I would encounter. I was surprised in the best way possible. Everything perfectly prepared and with three memorable dishes to close the main courses. Very nice experience.

The design and decor of this place fit my personality aesthetic to a tee. The flavor profiles of every single dish were beyond top tier, add in they source only local ingredients, they’re perfect bites. The Negroni was elite but it was their martini (gin) that really stole the show. Me and each of my two friends took a sip, looked at each other and all made mention that it might’ve been the best martini we’ve ever tasted, which was a stretch for me as I love olives and there weren’t any in this version. Love this spot, too 3-5 meals for me all time, enjoyed it more than The French Laundry.

This restaurant is a must for foodies. The photos you'll see are the tip of the iceberg. Many of the dishes I had (presented from a set menu) were packed with ingredients that delivered a well thought out texture and taste experience. I definitely have this place in my 'return list'.

Excellent restaurant. I had lunch here in December and the food is fantastic. The ethos is to source ingredients exclusively from the UK and this results in some very interesting and unique cooking. The turbot and Sussex yuzu dish was the highlight and the black koji pre-dessert has a surprisingly complex flavour. The sommelier did a great job with the wine pairing as there were some fairly unknown wines that paired beautifully with the food, all very well explained in a charming way. It was great to talk to the owners as they are obviously very passionate about their business and are highly hands-on - this extends to every part of the restaurant, including making their own tableware. Would definitely come back again!

Absolutely love this meal. Delicious and very good value for money. Only thing stopping a five star review is that we felt a little rush. Every meal was straight after another. This suits some people, but a little rushed to me. Thank you for an amazing set of dishes.

What can I say? This was easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in a long time! The whole vibe and atmosphere was like a flashback to the early 90’s when my dad used to take us to restaurants like this when I was a child. The food was spot on and each dish was made with such perfection. We went there today for my wife’s birthday and all the staff there accommodated us with such professionalism and kindness. I personally want to thank the whole team that looked after us tonight Papiya and Joy were the ones who served us and a few others didn’t get their name forgive me but they all were so respectful. A big shout out to the manager also working today. He personally took care of our dessert orders and honestly was one of the nicest people I’ve met, thank you to all my brothers and sisters that work there! Honestly this restaurant smashed it out the ballpark and did our homeland proud. I will definitely be coming back here with my family.

We were welcomed by Paul who was lovely and made sure we knew how everything worked with the Sunday roasts. He was very accommodating for a dietary needs and even gave us extras to account for the things we couldn’t eat. Recommended a great wine too. The food came out so quickly, we opted to share the trio roast which was phenomenal. You get so much for the price. We also had the lovely Dermot bring us our wonderful cheesecake dessert which was incredible. He made sure we were well taken care of and comfortable at the bar when we had to be moved as we had been there a little too long! He went out of his way to make sure all of our needs were met. Overall an incredible visit and would definitely go again and hopefully be served by Dermot and Paul!

Great Sunday roast, if not only the best I had in a long time. Since I’ve arrived, I felt welcomed. Despite not having a reservation, the waiter has found a table for me. The service was attentive and professional from start to finish. The food was tasty and well balanced. I recommend having Sprouts and Bacon as a side as well. Definitely recommend it, and definitely I will try it again

My partner & I had a long layover in London & decided to turn to google maps to find a place to have dinner. This place came up & the review looked good. I’ll tell you this place was delicious! Everything we had was cooked to perfection! Every bite was mouth watering. The drinks were good as well. The staff are very attentive & it was a great atmosphere. Because we came from the airport we had our carry on bags & they were kind enough to store those away for us & also my phone was dying & they charged it for me. 10/10 great service, when I’m back in London I’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful lunch here - the set menu is fabulously good value for money but we certainly added to the bill with a lovely bottle of wine, desserts and digestifs. The food was outstanding- a series of great tasting well constructed dishes - such fresh delightful tastes. Service was friendly and professional despite being under pressure - packed on a Thursday lunchtime. Chef did tell me Dinner service is 3x as busy but they work well as a team and deliver a great experience. I hope they take a moment to to listen to the atmosphere; even on a Thursday lunchtime this joyous food led to a dining room full of the sound of guests enjoying each others company and the food

This place is 10/10 one of the best meals I've had this year! Incredible service too! Highlight reccomend this place to anyone looking for delicious food full of flavour

The food is amazing here! Good Mediterranean restaurants always create a beautiful and unique flavour that goes beyond my imagination, and this place did well too. The appetisers here are amazing, with all the bread and spread options. The burnt aubergine paste had a rich flavour. And the two tartare were the winner. Especially with the beef tartare, which is commonly served in many restaurants but it was the best I’ve had so far. Unfortunately, as of November 2024, the main lack of seafood which was personally a bit disappointing as I saw photos of octopus or sea breams in the reviews. But we loved the vegan main with mushrooms, again it had a complex and creative flavour. It’s right at the heart of Soho, so I understand that it gets very busy. But it is a bit of a shame that we have to finish up in one and a half hour because the food experience here is top notch! Would have been great to spend a couple of hours or more on different meals. 🫶🏻✨

The Clove Club

Shoreditch Town Hall, 380 Old St, London EC1V 9LT, UK | Fine Dining Restaurant
P: 020 7729 6496

Rating: 4.6 (985) Price Level:

2 stars Michelin restaurant in Shoreditch. It’s used to be number 32 but fell to 80th place in the world’s best restaurant (as of June 2024). Dropped out of top 50 unfortunately. Came here for lunch on Saturday. We chose the short tasting menu. I had to say all were excellent. I usually judge the restaurant by the bread and butter. I found bread was slightly tough. The butter was good but not outstanding. I also feel they should improve “the attention to detail of the whole dining experience”. Felt more like Michelin restaurant rather than world’s top 100. If you happen to experience in Tokyo or in Asia or Paris etc, you would understand. IFKYK

The Clove Club, situated in the historic Shoreditch Town Hall in London, has firmly established itself as a beacon of modern British cuisine. Since its inception, it has garnered significant acclaim, including a Michelin star in its first year and a second star thereafter, reflecting its commitment to excellence. **Ambience and Setting** Housed within the Grade II-listed Shoreditch Town Hall, The Clove Club exudes a minimalist yet welcoming atmosphere. The dining area is characterized by high ceilings and large windows, creating an airy environment that complements its open kitchen design. This layout allows diners to observe the meticulous preparation of their meals, fostering a sense of connection between the kitchen and the dining experience. The absence of traditional tablecloths and the presence of azure-tiled kitchen accents contribute to a relaxed yet refined setting. **Culinary Experience** Under the guidance of chef Isaac McHale, The Clove Club offers tasting menus that highlight seasonal British ingredients with innovative flair. Dishes such as buttermilk fried chicken, marinated in buttermilk for 24 hours and fried using tapioca and polenta flours, have been lauded for their exceptional flavor and texture . Another standout is the smoked wild Irish char paired with sour cream and rye, noted for its delicate balance and subtle smokiness . The restaurant's commitment to showcasing British produce is evident in its menu selections. For instance, dishes featuring white asparagus, monkfish, chicken, and Aylesbury duck are prepared with precision, though some critics have expressed a desire for more luxurious ingredients at this price point . **Service and Hospitality** The service at The Clove Club is often described as attentive and knowledgeable. Staff members, including sommeliers, are praised for their expertise and friendly demeanor. However, there have been instances where service missteps occurred, such as a venison sausage rolling off the grill and into a diner's lap, with the staff appearing flustered in their response . Overall, the service is generally well-received, contributing positively to the dining experience. **Beverage Pairings** The Clove Club offers wine pairings that are both unusual and interesting, enhancing the overall dining experience . Additionally, the restaurant provides tea pairings, though some diners have noted that the teas presented had a similar, weak profile, lacking the robustness expected from their descriptions . **Value and Pricing** Dining at The Clove Club is a premium experience, with tasting menus priced accordingly. Some patrons have expressed concerns regarding the value, particularly in relation to the luxury of ingredients used . Nevertheless, many diners find the innovative cuisine and overall experience to be worth the investment. **Conclusion** The Clove Club stands as a testament to modern British gastronomy, offering a dining experience that combines innovative cuisine with a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. While certain aspects, such as ingredient selection and beverage pairings, have received mixed feedback, the restaurant's commitment to showcasing seasonal British produce and delivering attentive service continues to attract both local and international patrons.

Went for our wedding anniversary. We had tasting menu with wine flight. Staff were very professional and attentive. Food was good. I thought the wine could have been more equal, as there were differences between my husband's and mine, with me always getting a shorter measure. Despite paying the same price for each of us. When we mentioned it to the sommelier she didn't seem to be interested. Higher end in terms of cost so you want it to meet your expectations.

Outstanding experience. I had lunch here in mid-December and the food and service is incredible. The dining room is beautiful and is arranged so each table has a view of the kitchen. Nearly everything on the tasting menu is exceptional. The dishes have a good level of restraint applied to them so you end up with clean flavours and a clear display of the chefs' skill. With one exception, each course had a very strongly flavoured element - such as the pungent ginger in the sardine sashimi or the almond beurre noisette in the trout dish - which bought everything together in a well-balanced way. The best dish was the Orkney scallop with black truffle - great to see Scottish produce so prominent in a London restaurant. There were some hiccups, namely the dry-aged pork dish not being quite as good as the rest of the menu and the ice cream in the potato mouse being on the melted side - to be fair, the flavours were outstanding, and, as far as sweet and savoury desserts go, this was probably the best I've had. I didn't opt for the pairing but instead had a glass of champagne and Clos Lunelles from Bordeaux, which were both excellent recommendations from the sommelier. I don't think I can remember service at a restaurant being as good as it is here. If, like me, you haven't experienced something like it before, it's great fun to watch, and even better to experience in-person. The staff, whilst quite formal and professional, are very hospitable and accommodating, and do such an outstanding job in such an effortless way. The initial welcome is amazing if you've never experienced something like it before; going out of their way to greet you and make you feel comfortable, pulling your chair out, giving you a hot towel - I'm sure this is fairly standard for a lot of restaurants of this calibre but it was so special for me. The young members of the team are charming and very skilled for being at an early stage of their careers. Syah (I hope I spelled that right!) went the extra mile to make it a special experience. She is a star and was able to build rapport in such a natural way - I hope she goes far in hospitality because she's certainly got the talent for it! I would thoroughly recommend the Clove Club and if I had the money for it I would go there regularly.

We went for a birthday dinner, and we couldn't have been happier. From the moment we walked into the dining room, the staff were warm and welcoming. The menu flowed at a great pace, and the dishes were executed perfectly, flavours were outstanding of every dish along with their descriptions. We must thank Em our Sommelier on the night and Paolo for their amazing hospitality throughout the night. We were super happy with the wine choice! It was truly memorable.

I wasn’t able to book in advance tickets for the Sky Garden, but this place is so pretty that we had to try to go up anyways. The staff was super kind telling us they were going to decide in a little bit if they could let people with no reservation get inside. We waited around 10’, then they let us at 11am. The place is amazing. Very worth the visit and getting coffee/drinks with one of the priceless views on London. It’s very clean, organized and calm.

Sky Garden is an absolute gem in the heart of London! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with spectacular views of the city, making it a perfect spot for photography or just soaking in the skyline. The lush greenery adds a tranquil vibe, creating a relaxing contrast to the urban surroundings. The seating areas are comfortable, and it never feels overcrowded. The bar serves refreshing drinks, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Whether you’re visiting for the views, the atmosphere, or just a peaceful break, the Sky Garden is a must-see.

What an exceptional surprise to find that a rooftop of this caliber offers free access! Kudos to everyone who made this possible. The process of acquiring the free tickets was seamless, and the entry experience was well-organized, with the right level of security and efficient queue management. Once inside, we were greeted by a stunning and spectacular garden in the clouds—truly a sight to behold. What impressed me even more was the pricing at the bar. You’d expect sky-high prices or to be bombarded with overpriced souvenirs, but that wasn’t the case at all. The bar had accessible, reasonably priced options that made it easy to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. A must-visit destination in London, and one I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

Amazing 360 view of London. It’s in 35th floor with viewing platform and green space. Tickets are mandatory to enter. Free tickets are also available in online for a certain time slot and date. Waiting time, including bag check is around 10 to 15 minutes. There are plenty of spaces, chairs and tables, coffee shops, and 2 restaurants in the upper floor. Well worth a visit.

We were so excited for our lunch at Flat Iron, and it absolutely lived up to our expectations! We loved the atmosphere, the service, and, of course, the food. We all ordered the steak, which was cooked to perfection according to each person’s preference. The meat was impeccable—tender, flavorful, and freshly prepared. The sides were also fantastic. The mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were the highlights—absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned! Our only minor comment is that the portion sizes were a bit small, but the quality made the experience well worth it. The popcorn served when we arrived at the table was a fun touch—crispy, well-seasoned, and very tasty. To top it all off, after paying the bill, we received a wonderful surprise! We were given four tiny cleavers, which we could exchange for salted caramel ice cream. The ice cream was sensational and the perfect way to end our meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely come back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner in the sky and would love to return. We visited at the end of December, therefore during one of the busiest days. We arrived early and started with drinks on the terrace, then we were greeted by a lovely waiter who's name we unfortunately forgot, who allowed us extra time, guided us through the menu and provided great recommendations. All dishes were flavoursome and our family guests were satisfied. As our time at the table ran over by the time we finished our mains, the waiter kindly managed to secure a small bar table where we were delighted to also enjoy the beautiful and mouthwatering desserts. Thanks and sincere Well done go to the whole team for making this an unforgettable dining experience.

First time at this absolutely gorgeous restaurant in London, just a few minutes from Tottenham Court Road! Upon arrival, we checked in with the receptionist and shared our reservation details. We then took the lift to the 6th floor. The views from there were stunning! The restaurant itself felt like a conservatory with its glass ceilings, beautifully decorated in a chic oriental style. We were seated at a reserved space for four, which was much better than a table in the middle. For lunch, we opted for the set menu, which included two courses and unlimited cocktails from a selection of four. (See photos!) I tried all four cocktails. My favorite was the apple one, served in a half-sphere round glass and green in color. The cherry and pineapple cocktails were also delicious, and the grapefruit one was quite special. We will definitely be back—the experience was top-notch. Totally recommend!!! ^_^

We had a very elegant night out in the middle of central London. The restaurant is at the top of a new hotel and the place was buzzing from the time we entered toll the time we left. Each dish was cooked precisely and had good flavour combinations that worked well together. The cocktails also complimented the dishes we ate too. An Amazing Experience at Tattu London! We accidentally booked a table at the Manchester location instead of London, but the team was incredibly kind and accommodating in resolving the mix-up. Despite the Christmas Eve rush, they ensured we had a wonderful evening. The food was absolutely fantastic—refined flavors and beautifully presented. The dragon cocktail was a delightful surprise: unique, delicious, and a real treat. The interior was absolutely stunning, with an elegant and modern design that created the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. A special thanks to Lin, who made our evening even more special with her friendliness and excellent service. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great food, unique drinks, and exceptional service in a breathtaking setting. We’ll definitely be back!

My friends and I went to TATTU on Saturday. We had made a booking a few months in advance for 5 people. However, on the day one of us couldn’t make it, so I called to say that it would only be 4 people. They were very accommodating and said that would be fine. When you arrive, they have a cloak room to leave your coat. I kept my coat with me and they brought us to our table. It is such a beautiful restaurant with a great ambiance and vibe. Oriental elements and beautiful blossom tree in the middle. We had a really good table. There were lots of options on the menu. I opted for the Caramel Soy Aged Beef fillet. I asked for it to be Medium Rare, this was so delicious and I highly recommend it. My friends enjoyed their meals also. The service was great, it was obviously very busy for a Saturday evening, but the staff were so good. They kept our water refilled and they checked if we were enjoying our food. Even though they were busy, they had smiles on their faces. Very thankful to them for making us have a great experience. There is also a rooftop bar bit. We spent time there taking lots of photos and enjoying our time. It is also closer to their live DJ. Price was decent as well, a little over £60 per person. Which is a great deal. Would definitely come again.

Came for lunch on a Friday, the restaurant and bar area were both busy. The food was excellent, with the standouts being the bone marrow starter and honeycomb ice cream for dessert. The service was friendly without being overbearing. Prices were reasonable given the quality of food Can’t wait to visit again!

Absolutely stunning restaurant! I was here recently and had some of the most fantastic food. Firstly we were pleasantly greeted by a lovely gentleman (didn’t catch his name but he was super chatty and lovely). And we were seated right by the kitchen which was perfect! Loved seeing the chefs work, one of them was butchering a whole pig at one point - incredible! The food was an easy 10/10. The bone marrow was easily the best dish we had, it’s obvious why they run out of this so quickly. The pork head and broth was so rich and delicious and we loved the lamb and the blood cake too. And how could I forget the Welsh rarebit. So rich and delicious. I want this again! And I’d go back just to have the bone marrow again and again. Highly recommended.

I would recommend coming here. The service and food are great. I had the venison broth and (special) hare saddle which were both fantastic. Is very difficult to get reservations here, and I can see why.

One of my favourite restaurants in the world and one of the best arguments for British food I've ever experienced. The staff were incredible, the perfect balance of attentiveness and leaving you to enjoy your food and company. They also advise on how much we should order (they actually suggested that we ordered too many side dishes) as well as wines to pair well with different dishes. The food itself was, as you would expect, exceptional. The famous Bone Marrow exceeded the hype, we had Pigeon and Sole which were beautifully cooked with the perfect accompaniments. This place has made me wish Welsh Rarebit was available as a side in every restaurant. The meal overall was very good value for money considering the amount and quality of what we ate. Absolutely looking forward to going back at the soonest opportunity.
