Had a lovely tasty lunch. My first visit but impressed
It's a proper pub . Proper hand pulled ale . The staff are friendly and up for a bit of banter . It's such a nice change from the bars that churn out poor fizzy beer .
We moved to the area just over 8 months ago. This pub is right on our doorstep. Three times we’ve eaten here and it’s been sublime every time! The Sundays lunch’s are wonderful and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Not a bad word to say about it. Amazing place! Happy it’s our new local.
Had Sunday lunch there this weekend. The food and service were both excellent. We both had Yorkshire pudding starters which were home made and perfect followed by roast lamb dinners which again were spot on. The roast potatoes were obviously freshly cooked and of very good quality. Only slight criticism would be that the broccoli was a bit over cooked but overall a good meal and good value for money.
Nice cosy little traditional pub. We had mums funeral wake there just a few days ago, the manager and his staff were all very welcoming and the buffet was lovely and set up nice. Mum and Dad used to go here very often and always said the food was delicious. Highly recommend, the food and hospitality is excellent.
