We have visited this restaurant more than any other since they opened in 2019 and the standards have always been high (in fact I think they get better!). The food is modern British cuisine using locally sourced seasonal ingredients and the flavours on offer are bold and delicious. The Sunday Lunch menu is a real highlight with 3 courses for £30 featuring a selection of Roast Dinners that are hard to beat. The Brunch menu is really varied with your traditional Full English, Eggs Benedicts, Avo on Toast as well as some new additions like Savoury Crepes and Pancake Stacks for the sweet tooths- you can also go bottomless with some refreshing Mimosas and Bellinis. The standard A La Carte has some fantastic options too- a decent list of small plates if you fancy tapas style as well as some gorgeous main course dishes to suit every palate. The signature Steak and Ale Pie is not to be missed and has been consistently good since day one! As we approach summer do not skip their stunning secret garden which on a sunny day makes you forget you are in Huddersfield- our favourite place to relax with great food and drinks. Talking of drinks, the wine list is extensive and they have picked some truly fabulous wines to pair with the food. There is also a cocktail list as well as local beers. Steve and Helen do an amazing job at running the best restaurant in Huddersfield- we highly recommend a visit but be warned you will keep going back for more

I believe The Scullery is the best restaurant in Huddersfield. I have now been 4 times, including for an anniversary dinner and even once just to have a sit down and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere with a glass of mulled wine. The homemade food is always stunning, made with fresh and seasonal ingredients (they change their menu to fit the season because they use local products). I love their fish dishes and the second time I went I had the most amazing soup. The service is good and staff always do their best to accommodate even on busy days. I could not praise this place enough, absolutely love the food. The Scullery is a hidden gem and I will come again!!

What an amazing place. The staff were very helpful, friendly and responsive. The food was delicious, well presented and came in very generous portions. The roast beef I had was lovely and tender. Good choice of drinks, next time I might try a cocktail as they sound great. I can tell they really care about cleanliness too.

What can I say. Probably the nicest eatery in Huddersfield. Just shared a first date here this afternoon for an amazing Sunday lunch. The food was simply superb, which makes it great value for money, the service was excellent and so friendly. With a lovely busy atmosphere. Such a lovely an memorable place.

We had been wanting to try Norman's for sometime and decided my Wife's 50th was the perfect opportunity. We visited on Friday 3rd Jan '25, we were warmly greeted and shown to our table. The food arrives Tapas style and honestly we couldn't decide which was our favourite. Great food, great cocktails but what really stands out is the service! Would thoroughly recommend it!

Wonderful meal! A real treat for foodies looking for well-curated and unique dishes. We especially loved the stone bass (expertly cooked) and mackerel tart nibbles. The staff were all lovely and helpful, attentive without being overly so. Perfectly-sized place too. Would love to come again soon and try the new menu rotation!

Went for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Staff are really pleasant and accommodating, service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Decent range of options to choose from, could have ordered all of it! Really unique flavours and dishes that tasted amazing. Got a free birthday drink on arrival too! Will definitely go back.

After reading so many positive reviews, we had to try Norman's. However, trying to book a convenient date and time wasn't easy as it is so popular. Eventually booked and visited yesterday evening and we were so glad. It lived up to its excellent reputation, amazing food, first class service and a relaxed, warm ambience. It's currently the number one restaurant on TripAdvisor for Huddersfield and it's certainly worthy of this position. Definitely a venue for repeat visits.

We called in on Thursday after finding OliveMaeās Kitchen on Facebook. We were greeted warmly as if we had known each other for ages. Although quiet when we visited the music and ambience were perfect for a lunchtime visit. Our food arrived promptly and piping hot and service with a smile is an understatement!! My wife ordered the large jerk chicken rice and peas whilst I got the medium jerk chicken rice and peas and a portion of the fried chicken. The portions were massive and when we pointed this out the owner laughed and told us she āwas known for having heavy handsā!!! The food was well cooked and the flavours were amazing!! We usually travel to Oldham for our jerk chicken fix but we have now found a firm favourite here so much so that we ordered Curry Goat and Chickpea Curry to take out for lunch the following day. If you love your Caribbean food this is the place you need to visit. We cannot wait to return.

Back up from London for a week to see family and this absolutely slapped. Love seeing Caribbean food in the local area. Affordable and authentic! Awesome food. Ordered patties, curry goat and jerk chicken with rice and peas. Great flavours and put a smile on my face thank you!

Nestled in Skelmanthorpe Community Centre, this Jamaican food pop up is a great addition to the village of Skelmanthorpe. Food is authentic and service is friendly and prompt. We had a nice chat about what different menus could be available in the future and will definitely be back to try. The food was spicy but still full of flavour and taste and I would recommend every item on the menu.

These were at Todmorden market for the Friday Meet Market and I had the Curried Goat and it was delicious. The 2 people on the stall were friendly and went out of their way to check the ingredients to make sure it was safe for someone with allergies. I found out that they are on Hebden Bridge Market on Saturdays and Sundays, I will definately be popping over for more of theor food.

We took our little niece for a Friday, early night tea as a treat. It was the first time in the place and wonāt be the last. The staff were really lovely and seemed to be authentic in wanting to know how the food was, or if we needed anything else. Iāve been to places where serving customers looked like a chore for the staff; itās certainly not the case at this restaurant. We loved the open kitchen and the chef came out to check on everything too. Nice touch. We had the platter starter which was really delicious. Our curries were gorgeous also. There was plenty of food and for a good price. Iād heartily recommend. Thank you all for your hard work.

It was fantastic experience. The Millennium Platter was outstandingāan incredible mix of flavors and dishes that were both fresh and expertly prepared. The Curry Keema Buna was a standout, with a distinct Bangladeshi flavor that made it especially memorable. The rich, spiced minced meat was delicious and authentic. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was inviting. Highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful and flavorful dining experience!

Millennium Dine is one of those rare gems I keep coming back to. The ambiance is absolutely captivating, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you step in. The service is exceptional, especially when dining with young childrenāattentive and friendly throughout our visit. The restaurant is spotless, and I was especially impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms. As for the food, it truly exceeded my expectations. The flavors are perfectly balanced with a great mix of spices, and the portions are generous. I wholeheartedly wish Millennium Dine continued success and look forward to many more visits.

Organised a mid-week visit to meet friends (about 20 of us) and struck lucky finding the Tipsy Cow! We were given a really warm welcome by the landlady, nothing too much trouble, comfortably furnished bar to allow mixing with friends, and - even better than all this (!) - a great selection of really well-kept ales. Great selection of other drinks available as well. Would that we could all have a Tipsy Cow in our village!

A lovely location to eat in. After (or even before) your visit to YSP you can eat some tasty food here and enjoy some sweet treats afterwards. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was still possible to eat without a reservation which was lucky. Gluten free options are a little complicated - you are given a separate print out with a chart to try and work out what you can eat or not, and asking the staff, as friendly as they were, wasn't much help either as they didn't know what some of the items were on the menu unfortunately.

Went for a cosy, intimate meal. The Dunkirk just delivers. The place is imacculate. Light, well decorated, contemporary. Last time I reviewed this place I left feedback about staff. They were great, professional and attentive but.... a little... aloof. By God! The feedback at the time was well received and as tonight evidenced, was acted upon. Every single member of staff was pleasant approachable, professional, attentive, and friendly. Happy staff means happy customers! Great team of people. Food - fresh tasty, well cooked, well presented and perfectly portioned. We had Venison Carpacio and Goats Cheese for our starters. Both went with a 10oz Rump done medium rare with half a lobster on the side. I had some new potatoes and they were buttery, slightly earthy, perfectly cooked and the whole lot was tasty as. Steak melted. Lobster juicy and soft. Dessert was Pannacotta for me and Hazelnut cocktail for Madam. The poshest milkshake I've ever seen. Oh, and the warm scone with the pannacotta was to die for! We were well looked after and left with that rosy glow of an unrushed evening's dining that just filled us. Keep doing what you do Dunkirk. It's fab!

Excellent in every way - Our Sunday lunch in the upstairs dining room next to a window, White linen tablecloth, serviettes. Cheerful staff and food beautifully cooked and served. A very memorable meal for the three of us. Will hope to visit with other members of my family. Thank you. Pat M.

A wonderful visit last night which included Lobster Thermidor served with hand cut chips, and salad followed by a warm fig and almond tart, finished with a liqueur coffee for my bestie and a Baileys Blush for me.. heavenly! Food was top class and service was exceptional and I was reminded of how good food should taste and look. A dining wonder⦠and a really good excuse to visit my bestie again⦠not that I needed one.. A foodie paradise from a chef who has built a fantastic reputation locally especially previously at The Farmers Boy in Shepley. Front of house was pleasant and efficient and all staff were knowledgeable and attentive. We booked last minute and would recommend pre booking at any time. We had Friday lunch today 13-09-2024. Caesar salad with a side of topped fries and lambs livers, 1 IPA and an Italian lager for £50.00. An absolute bargain and fantastic food. The pub is dog friendly, wheelchair accessible and has ample parking 100m away. We intend to make this a regular appointment! Would recommend without hesitation.

We have just spent Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day with our dog at Bagden Hall and it was superb! From the moment we arrived we were made welcome by all the staff and their excellence continued until the moment we left. Our room was clean, warm and extremely comfortable and this reflected the rest of the hotel. The food was lovely with a good choice and our dog was served sausages for breakfast and a Christmas dinner! The setting is first class, in acres of woodland, plenty of walks for the dog and to burn off a few calories.... I wouldn't hesitate in recommending and we have booked for next year....

We snagged ourselves a cheap room via laterooms.com and were delighted to be upgraded to a suite on arrival. The room was huge, with large bathroom with roll top bath and also a comfortable seating area with sofa and chairs. Lovely, welcoming staff and we thought breakfast was great value with plenty of choice. Recommended

Had an enjoyable overnight stay after attending a wedding here. Was delighted to find that I had my room upgraded to a suite when I arrived. I was in room 2 in the main building. However, I'm unsure as to why it would be called a suite as it was just an en-suite hotel room with no extras as far as I could see. Room was clean and very well maintained despite this being a traditional hotel room, in keeping with the age of the building. It was also very comfortable. The building was lovely and only minus point here was that one of the corridors on the way to my daughter's room was cold and smelt strongly fishy (as it did when you were outside that part of the building). The staff were very polite and there was always somebody on hand to see to our needs. Breakfast was good (but then I only had cereal and toast), though the cooked option looked nice. Our one disappointment was the fact that we were told there were no mushrooms, and after we had placed our order. As I only wanted a light breakfast of poached egg and mushrooms, I decided not to bother with a cooked breakfast at all. I would recommend this hotel overall.

Absolutely perfect stay. We stayed for two nights, before and after our wedding. The staff couldn't do more for myself and my family. The food was brilliant, they catered for all allergies, they were very accommodating. Lovely interior, and thereās parking in the nearby Co-op. We went after seeing it advertised on Happy Cow and, true to the reviews, there were lots of vegan options - tapas, mains, and desserts. Even the wines were labelled as such. The food was excellent and the service second to none. It was pricey for a midweek meal out for us but not complaining as everything was quality. Weāll definitely be back!
