My first ever visit to this place in all the time I have lived in brighouse & my it didn’t disappoint the room that we were having are meal in plus entertainment was very open with stunning views of Yorkshire s finest greenery . We arrived a bit early but had a loverly chap called Richard have a chat to myself plus my parents explaining the history of the golf club which was a brilliant insight to the evening before we sat down to have are 3 course meal . The food to my taste was amazing it was just cooked right from starters to desert the staff were very warm n helpful to every in the room it s a very unique experience to have a golf club in the centre of a town or just not far from the main area but this place from the large car park great facilities plus very interesting history I would highly recommend plus I am not a golf fan but we also got a cracking view of the fair way with the green just yards away which was just so beautiful . I hope to call back next year or before thank you for the club’s professionalism plus high standards

Not played the course yet but looking forward to playing it but the staff are excellent I go to the driving range to practice but staff are so kind and driving range is like brand new

Just had family gathering Christmas 🎄 dinner at this little gem of a place food was perfect 👌 if u wont nice sunday meal highly recommended especially the dessert apple crumble and custard 🍮

A really gorgeous place to play golf. Setting is incredible, course in great condition ( September) Coaching - John sorted out my putting stroke and my bent putter! Couldn't be happier. 👍⛳.

Beautiful building and grounds. Stayed just the one night, twin room had everything you needed. The beds were comfortable and the views stunning. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Great value for money (Suggestion not a criticism rather than a large jug of milk and 1 large dish of sugar etc, maybe smaller and more for each table at breakfast) Would stay here again, staff all very friendly and efficient

Another very enjoyable visit to Woodsome. Well maintained rooms, great service, breakfast always super. Location is beautiful. Can't wait to visit again.

This is my second time here. Slightly disappointed as the pillows are too hard. The tv didn’t work, the bathroom light was flickering and the outside bench from room 5 has been removed. So we couldn’t really sit outside and enjoy the lovey views in the evening. A few tweeks and this could be a lovely affordable stay. The beds are super comfortable. The location is quiet and beautiful. The staff are great.

Called in for breakfast and a coffee whilst out walking the pooch. Always made to feel welcomed. Great b'fast . They were gearing up for a live music event later today. Lots of activity.

Great venue for last week's Christmas Fair. The staff were very helpful. They also do a Sunday carvery every couple of weeks which I am very much looking forward to.

Really enjoyed this 9 hole course Played it early morning 615 am The members were very friendly Some good holes and lovely veiws.

Had a great time with the Laurence Batley league and the handicap team. Big shout to Alex, Chris and Steve for your hospitality and help around the course. Course was in good condition, tough in the right places. Gorgeous views up and down the valley. Some friendly sheep around and about.😉

Great local course and whilst not long has some challenges on many of the holes. Price is also very reasonable, definitely worth a visit

Good food nice staff and a lovely Golf course

Came with my society and really enjoyed it. Course played really well considering the amount of rain we have had. Greens were true and quick! Only negative is there was no catering at the time. Well worth a visit though. Will be bringing the society back in future.

I've never left a review for a golf course before but this course / club was so fantastic I had no choice but to leave a glowing review! The practice facilities, the pro shop and overall welcome were exemplary and as for some of approach shots and views....breath taking! I can't wait to return to this hidden gem!

Brilliant heathland course with tough rough and tricky greens. Warm welcome from members. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars today was the greens had been dressed and they don't open the kitchen on Monday which given the numbers there I can understand...

I played here today with a view to joining for me and my lad. I was told before hand that the greens had been ninja tined by the lady in the shop I already knew, but it’s lovely that they cared to inform me. There was young member looked to be playing on his own so I asked if he fancied a game and politely joined me which was great, he guided me around and told me about the club. Overall very friendly welcome, practice area and range looked great. Course was in super condition, I’m super picky and I couldn’t find anything to complain about, greens are receptive but not soft or spongy, around the greens was as you’d expect, revetted bunkers were hard but looked absolutely mint with the turf layering. Tee boxes were all flat and tidy with tee bins and divot mix. The course was quiet although there were people playing I didn’t see much of anyone, we played a good pace around 4hrs no one chasing us down and no one playing slow infront. And the weather was superb. I would highly recommend also I received a very good price with a county card.

Lovely golf course some tricky holes, kept in immaculate condition looks really nice, The greens have plenty of slope and are smooth and fast. As slick as you'll find at 3 times the price.

We all had an excellent day and are hopefully playing our Seniors competition here next year 🤞. Everything was spot on from our bacon sandwich and tea and coffee on arrival. The condition of all the course, tees, fairways and greens. The friendly service from the staff. The foid afterwards was excellent The thing we struggle with most was getting to grips with the difficulties of the greens 😫. They were in excellent condition but very challenging 😅. Lovely day thank you 😊

Great course. Some interesting holes. Green keepers constantly working on the course. But being respectful towards golfers. Played twice now and wilI return. Excellent value for money.

Played in a friendly at Meltham tonight after playing Ryburn yesterday and ahead of Halifax Bradley Hall which I go to tomorrow. I promised myself I'd review every course I play this week as I'm all over West Yorkshire but this course will not be beaten. Its condition has to be the best I've seen of any course this year. The greens are true and the fairways are lush. I didn't go in any bunkers but they made each hole picturesque and looked perfect. Rakes everywhere and ball retrievers placed where they were needed. I had a two course meal after and my understanding is they have a new head chef who is on a trial shift at this moment in time. To serve 32 Golfers all at the same time is a baptism of fire and anyone who has worked in the catering industry knows that. Sorry Meltham but he's hired!!! Food was 10/10 and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Thank you for such amazing hospitality. I will be back !

What a beautiful course, very picturesque and some interesting holes. Would be a member if I lived closer.

We chose to use Meltham golf club for our mums wake after recommendation from Birks. We were very happy with the room, which was bright and set out lovely. The food we chose from the menu was exceptional and everyone commented on how nice it was. Would highly recommend Meltham Golf Club. Thank you

Great golf course. Some stunning holes. Very picturesque. Challenging but great fun. Will certainly be back. Staff in the Club House were extremely friendly & did everything they could to make our Charity Golf Day go really well.

Matt is a very pleasant person to deal with and always ready to help you out and make sure you get what suits you and will go back again.

Great setting, beautiful course, very well laid out and challenging. Challenging opening hole and one of the best finishing holes I've played. The 18th is quite special. We'll done to your grounds staff to present such a lovely course. Staff very friendly, and members are also helpful and friendly. Bar food quality is excellent. I would have given 5 stars, but for.... we played on beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, our Tee was after their members competition, we were nearly finished when we met a four ball and one member was dresses in 3/4 length trousers, round neck leasure T-shirt and to top it all Open toe sandals, no socks....... unbelievable. What's that about? It's totally disrespectful. I've played in hotter condition and hotter countries and have never seen a player dress like that before

My son, my sister in law and I would just like to thank Dave the manager at Northcliffe golf club and his fantastic team Vicky and Verity for looking after us so well after the recent passing of my husband. We held the funeral tea there and Dave, Vicky and Verity couldn’t do enough to support us which we all found very comforting. The venue was beautiful and the food outstanding. This is a fantastic course that is available at a great place for it's quality. I genuinely think it's offering the sort of golf course for a normal price that others around Yorkshire are charging double. It's a great course layout, really enjoyable challenge and nicely set around the lake. It's got a great driving range to warm up on too.

Fantastic layout in great condition. There are lots of interesting holes that provide a good challenge for all levels of golfers. The greens were best the best we have played this year and we have been to some prestigious courses. It is also set within the grounds of a nature reserve with great views on many holes. Great practice facilities to warm up including a covered driving range and the halfway house was open on Wednesday when we played. Great value at £40 for a top quality round of golf.

This is has been my home club for the last 12 yrs or so. Fantastic golf course. Even through this dry spell the greens are some of the best in this area. Friendly staff always makes you feel welcomed to the club Come & try yourself out against the course. You'll love it😃🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️⛳
