My first round at this course and very impressed. It's an interesting course with plenty of features and undulations. It's also a course that tempts you to regularly hit a driver off the tee. Thumbs up

Fabulous course played recently on an exchange from Bingley St Ives Rabbits. Great club house & very friendly members who made our party very welcome.

Fun and interesting golf course, in a peaceful location and fairly priced. Mature, tree-lined, undulating fairways and interesting shapes all over the course. I've played it a couple of times and would gladly go back.

Another enjoyable visit. Managed to get to grips with the greens this time. Read them better than last time anyway. Friendly clubhouse , good food and beer. Ossett Blonde , Wainwrights and a Theakstons I think it was. Beavertown Neckoil on keg. Always enjoy playing here. Some real risk and reward holes. Still havent mastered the greens which have slopes I just cant see😂

Had our wedding here on the 27/04/24 and we had the most incredible day! All of the events coordinators could not have been more helpful with all of our crazy questions! The venue is gorgeous as are the grounds, which made for amazing photos by the lake! The venue was set up just how we imagined, if not better! The Manor worked amazingly with our vendors and everything went smoothly! Have to say a massive thank you to all of the event coordinators! Would 100% recommend for any wedding/event!

Nice course and facilities. Only problem is the amount of kids on the driving range. You can be sat around for half an hour waiting for a bay while they mess about due to the sheer number of them. One of them nearly hit another person waiting due to their poor skill level and general lack of care as the ball ricocheted off the side wall, up and then back to the seating area. The numbers of kids needs controlling. Other than that, it's a well kept course with reasonable membership prices. Guest prices are a little on the high side.

Hello, I would firstly like to say what an absolute magical day we had. From start to finish Becky was brilliant and truly a wonderful Lady. We loved every minute and thankyou Mr & Mrs Todd

Our wedding day at The Manor on 24th August 2024 was truly unforgettable. The venue exceeded all our expectations. The room was transformed into something more beautiful than we could have ever imagined, and the private garden was perfect for photos, complementing the stunning golf course, which provided the ideal setting for our bride and groom shots. Rebecca and her team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless. From the many planning meetings, Rebecca was always available, and no request was too much trouble. The food was exceptional, and every moment felt magical. Choosing The Manor was the best decision—we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Thank you! Mr & Mrs Rothery

Great setting, beautiful course, very well laid out and challenging. Challenging opening hole and one of the best finishing holes I've played. The 18th is quite special. We'll done to your grounds staff to present such a lovely course. Staff very friendly, and members are also helpful and friendly. Bar food quality is excellent. I would have given 5 stars, but for.... we played on beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, our Tee was after their members competition, we were nearly finished when we met a four ball and one member was dresses in 3/4 length trousers, round neck leasure T-shirt and to top it all Open toe sandals, no socks....... unbelievable. What's that about? It's totally disrespectful. I've played in hotter condition and hotter countries and have never seen a player dress like that before

My son, my sister in law and I would just like to thank Dave the manager at Northcliffe golf club and his fantastic team Vicky and Verity for looking after us so well after the recent passing of my husband. We held the funeral tea there and Dave, Vicky and Verity couldn’t do enough to support us which we all found very comforting. The venue was beautiful and the food outstanding. There was plenty of parking to accommodate our family and friends. Thank you all so much. Julie, Matthew and Cath xxx

Fantastic course layout, recovering from a greens problem but would definitely look to return again next year.
Rating: 5 / 5
A great course that's in excellent condition, especially considering the time of year. The fairways were cut well with firm ground firm, with greens that were actually a constant green and a lovely surface to putt on.

Very nice course, played on a reciprocal arrangement. Unfortunately a few holes closed for drainage but just means we’ll have to come back!

We played at Wortley today and what a great day we had , the course has its ups and downs but was in great nick and even though they had done some work last week on the greens this didn’t detract one bit from our enjoyment. Id love to be a member if it was a few miles nearer to home . We’ll be back , especially for one of the outstanding sausage rolls in the club house . First class 👍🏽

A very friendly welcome from all the staff and a great bacon sandwich. The course played very well and provided a good challenge. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

After a deluge of rain the course was in very good condition. Wet but no mud. Beautiful vistas and a great place to return to. The bacon cobs were loaded and the Pie & Chips meal after was of typical Yorkshire quality. God really is a Yorkshire man.

Lovely golf course. I 100% recommend a visit. I'd never played before but everyone was super welcoming and helpful. The course was absolutely stunning and beautifully maintained.

Superb 12 hole course. It’s quite a challenging and rather characterful course. It was soggy in some places but it was in better condition than both Wike and Rudding. I’m actually surprised how well the greens have held up in the winter we’ve just had (2023/24). The tee boxes and fairways were pure, even in March! You can tell it’s well looked after. I’m looking forward to going back in better weather, it’ll be fantastic!

Decent course, testing walk. Course is in pretty good condition. Not particularly challenging for medium/long hitters with a driver not required on any holes. Good variety of par 3s and a couple of drivable par 4s. 2nd/11th and 9th/18th are very severely uphill which will be challenging to walk for unfit/older golfers (we’re talking a good 70m elevation change in one hole. I’m fit and was out of puff by the end). Greens in decent condition, fairly paced for February. Winter tees among the best I’ve played. Can imagine the 5th/14th is a nightmare in-season/on weekends due to walkers/runners/dogs as a public right of way runs the whole length of the hole & across it. Would be a good course for beginners/shorter hitters but it’s a hard walk.
Rating: 5 / 5
Great 9 hole gem that’s in good condition, greens are great but slow. Good customer service and decent prices all round! My mum and sister were able to walk scenic public footpaths in and around the course while we played golf.

A cracking golf course. Massive greens. Many long par 4's offer up a stiff challenge, but always rewarding. Lovely clubhouse, and tidy pro shop. Made for an excellent MacKenzie double bill with nearby Alwoodley.

An absolute gem of a course. Greens are incredible, it was a pleasure to play and one I will be both dreading and excited to play again, next time hopefully the wind stays at bay
Rating: 4 / 5
A course of two halves. The course starts on the old part, with a mature feel, clever routing, and interesting topology. But after 4 or 5 holes you cross the road into a newer field where the routing is straight back and forth, and the feel is much lower quality. It doesn't help as well that it's overshadowed by a huge landfill site with diggers running all day long right up against the course. Eventually back over the road for the last 5 or 6 holes which are very strong again. Headingley pitches itself as a £100 green fee. It's an ok course, but sadly the new holes, and the landfill let it down. There are better options nearby for £100, and for half that.
