The Best Golf Courses in Tyersal, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom (2025)

Decent course, testing walk. Course is in pretty good condition. Not particularly challenging for medium/long hitters with a driver not required on any holes. Good variety of par 3s and a couple of drivable par 4s. 2nd/11th and 9th/18th are very severely uphill which will be challenging to walk for unfit/older golfers (we’re talking a good 70m elevation change in one hole. I’m fit and was out of puff by the end). Greens in decent condition, fairly paced for February. Winter tees among the best I’ve played. Can imagine the 5th/14th is a nightmare in-season/on weekends due to walkers/runners/dogs as a public right of way runs the whole length of the hole & across it. Would be a good course for beginners/shorter hitters but it’s a hard walk.

Lovely little place to enjoy a late afternoon drink on a fresh wintery day. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly which is a massive plus. Will be coming back to try the food one day as it sounds amazing. Cheap prices too. 5/5

Great setting, beautiful course, very well laid out and challenging. Challenging opening hole and one of the best finishing holes I've played. The 18th is quite special. We'll done to your grounds staff to present such a lovely course. Staff very friendly, and members are also helpful and friendly. Bar food quality is excellent. I would have given 5 stars, but for.... we played on beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, our Tee was after their members competition, we were nearly finished when we met a four ball and one member was dresses in 3/4 length trousers, round neck leasure T-shirt and to top it all Open toe sandals, no socks....... unbelievable. What's that about? It's totally disrespectful. I've played in hotter condition and hotter countries and have never seen a player dress like that before

Great golf course. Some stunning holes. Very picturesque. Challenging but great fun. Will certainly be back. Staff in the Club House were extremely friendly & did everything they could to make our Charity Golf Day go really well.

Going to Northcliffe Pro Shop is a brilliant experience - Matt is attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. We talked about what I was looking for and he gave me helpful advice, and let me test different clubs, without any pressure. It felt like a really personal experience and I could tell he genuinely wanted to make sure I found the right fit. The shop itself has a great selection, with plenty of offers, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect place if you're in the market for golf gear either for yourself or as a gift for a loved one. I highly recommend stopping by and asking for Matt. You won’t be disappointed!

First time at this course, very impressed, course in fantastic condition, very nice clubhouse and welcoming friendly staff and members, well worth a visit!

Ive been here to private parties and a after a funeral what a fantastic place staff are amazing the lady that runs it goes above and beyond so do her staff .Would recommend to everyone .Also there catering is amazing too .

This is a fantastic course that is available at a great place for it's quality. I genuinely think it's offering the sort of golf course for a normal price that others around Yorkshire are charging double. It's a great course layout, really enjoyable challenge and nicely set around the lake. It's got a great driving range to warm up on too.

This is has been my home club for the last 12 yrs or so. Fantastic golf course. Even through this dry spell the greens are some of the best in this area. Friendly staff always makes you feel welcomed to the club Come & try yourself out against the course. You'll love it😃🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️⛳

Our wedding day at The Manor on 24th August 2024 was truly unforgettable. The venue exceeded all our expectations. The room was transformed into something more beautiful than we could have ever imagined, and the private garden was perfect for photos, complementing the stunning golf course, which provided the ideal setting for our bride and groom shots. Rebecca and her team went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless. From the many planning meetings, Rebecca was always available, and no request was too much trouble. Nice course and facilities. Only problem is the amount of kids on the driving range. You can be sat around for half an hour waiting for a bay while they mess about due to the sheer number of them. One of them nearly hit another person waiting due to their poor skill level and general lack of care as the ball ricocheted off the side wall, up and then back to the seating area. The numbers of kids needs controlling. Other than that, it's a well kept course with reasonable membership prices. Guest prices are a little on the high side.

Had our wedding here on the 27/04/24 and we had the most incredible day! All of the events coordinators could not have been more helpful with all of our crazy questions! The venue is gorgeous as are the grounds, which made for amazing photos by the lake! The venue was set up just how we imagined, if not better! The Manor worked amazingly with our vendors and everything went smoothly! Have to say a massive thank you to all of the event coordinators! Would 100% recommend for any wedding/event!

Came with my society and really enjoyed it. Course played really well considering the amount of rain we have had. Greens were true and quick! Only negative is there was no catering at the time. Well worth a visit though. Will be bringing the society back in future.

Good food nice staff and a lovely Golf course

I bought a set of golf clubs from the online shop which arrived next day as expected. Unfortunately one of the clubs was faulty and a replacement was arranged and sent out immediately. The same issue happened to a second club and Express Golf offered a full refund and arranged for the set to be collected. The customer service was excellent during this process and despite the clubs being damaged we will definitely use Express Golf again.

I’m used this place multiple times, the shop is absolutely fantastic, the staff are so helpful and the range of brands is perfect. The range is the best range I have ever used and the course is spot on. Cannot recommend it highly enough for any golfer of any ability. Thank You!

Easy to book a round, buy from the shop or book onto the driving range, all from the app. The course is a great ball keeper as the fairways are nice and wide. If your like me and reintroducing yourself back into golf, it's a great course.

An awesome experience at this driving range. Excellent help and assistance from Andy. The systems have been updated so scoring and progress is digital and can be tracked via an app. Overall amazing day out. 100 balls for £8 60 balls for £6 30 balls for £4 Prices for the driving range are reasonable too, I will be trying out the coaching and will write another review.

The best golf course in the area, and one of the best in Yorkshire. A beautiful hidden gem, with a great variety of holes, and true greens. Perfect for golfers of all abilities and ages.

This course is beautiful with great history. Nathan, the pro was so kind, even after running late because our rental car broke down. We didn’t specify that we needed rental clubs in the booking and he still ran to the basement and put some together while his other 2 sets were booked out already. I couldn’t recommend this beautiful course more. It’s unique features as an Alister McKenzie course brings holes that crossover like a plane runway. You can play the original amen corner. This is a must play at a great price!

Booked an Afternoon Tea party for my mum's 90th Birthday, it was lovely. The food was delicious and so beautifully presented on pretty vintage china. We were made to feel so welcome and looked after so well. Mum was really happy. Shout out to Trysha, the catering staff and bar staff. Would highly recommend this venue to all.

Called in today for lunch. Food was very tasty. Friendly staff. Good price would definitely recommend a visit.

Nice club cheap drink for a cricket club car park not the best needs tar macking

Fab Sunday dinner, roast lamb was perfect. Fresh fruit meringue nest was tasty. Lovely bar staff and kitchen staff, nothing is too much trouble.

The lessons I had from this place have been impeccable, the pro shop and the clientele are second to non! Would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get into golf the best place to start!

Had my wedding here on 4th june 2022 and what a fantastic day it was. The food was fantastic and every guest compliment how nice the food was and how nice the venue was. Toni the golf club manager really did go above and beyond to make sure my day was fantastic. I want to say how good she was at providing food for a vegan and celiac guest they were amazed at the food they recieved. I will deffo be back when another family party or get together is called for. Once again toni thank you so much and I will remember this day forever ❤️

Would definitely recommend playing here, the course is well kept and the staff are really friendly.
