I buy all my meat from here and I bring everyone who visits me. I love it and am a very unashamed fangirl. Food is always yummy regardless of whether I eat in, or buy food to cook at home. Always really kind and friendly to me like they've known me forever.

Stopped in while on a walk. The service was top notch. Staff were friendly and professional. Food was excellent and the prices reasonable. 100% recommended.

Proper great, tasty food at really good prices. Lovely place with welcoming staff and a decent range of drinks and a menu that will keep us going back. For an Manc urbanite, the drive at under an hour, is decent but not one I'd do in winter :( No pics as others have taken photos but definitely worth a visit. Only downside is they've missed a trick not selling rag puddings in the shop.

I've popped in here a couple of times before for drinks outside, but after today up definitely be back to try more of the delicious menu! We ordered from the early bird menu and I can't express how good the food is for the money. The chicken parm alone is one of the best I've ever eaten, it was so fresh and tasty! The staff were super friendly and attentive, and the vibe is warm.

Experience was great and scampi was delicious. Out of all locations I’ve been to that offer scampi, this one served the most at 15 pieces. We did have some issues with my Grandma receiving peppers with her salad and me receiving lemon with my drink but this was not on them, we didn’t make them aware. All issues were resolved in a timely manner and without hesitation from the staff. Will visit again.

Lovely pub! Good food! Good service! The Maypole is a lovely little pub tucked away in Warley Town. There is a very cosy atmosphere in the main pub area and the larger dining area is good and open with original features scattered throughout. The food is generally good basic food, with a good range on the menu and made well. I only gave it a 4 when comparing to other similar pubs in the Halifax area. But there is certainly nothing wrong with the food, and is good value for money. The roast dinner was good, with plenty of meat served on the plate! Decent Yorkshire pudding too! Definitely recommend for eating out with families of all ages!

Steady away, good service and food. Not a bad fixed menu, worth a go. Revised after last visit, food was great but being sat upstairs was not the warmest of places.

Popped in on a break from doing some deliveries, only ordered a chip butty, but looking at the other food in the food warmers, it looked really good. Chip butty was really nice, staff were polite, there's plenty of parking, prices are reasonable, not sure if it's a place to drive out to for food, but it is really good quality, I'll definitely visit again if I'm in the area 👌

Food is average. Fresh cooked to order is great in theory, reality is that excess oil doesn't get time to drain off.

Lovely one night stay. All staff were friendly helpful and efficient. Food was great and very reasonable priced. Beds so very comfy and everything clean and tidy. Couldn't ask for more. Very highly recommended.

The decor is brilliant and I loved the Aspalls candle in the display cupboard across from the bar. Barmaid Amy was well mannered and extremely nice to my little ones.

Stayed for one night, everything was great. Clean rooms, good location, and all the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended.

A great find in a lovely location. Room was small but that was fine, a large tv, teas and coffees and a good bathroom. So quiet, which was great. Food in the bar was tasty and service was excellent. Fantastic views.

My husband and I have been eating here regularly for a long time, the food is always amazing, the place is run by a family who go over and above all if the time , it’s a u pique pub and definitely worth a visit

Called in at lunchtime, spur of the moment decision and although we hadn’t booked, they squeezed us in, despite them being very busy already. I’m glad we did - it was superb. Meat lasagne, veg lasagne and the steak and ale pie. All were excellent. Lovely staff too.

Lovely atmosphere. Really good feel, wasn't sold in the food. Ordered the Brown Horse beef burger as did 4 others in our group and it was tough, dense hard to chew, felt like hard graft eating it. Others enjoyed their dishes though. Staff are really good, very helpful and polite.

The Ivy has always been clicky place but the Sunday roast is worth the gauntlet of stares and perhaps book as its always busy with people not eating, so you can find a table. Staff are friendly, prices are very reasonable too. The carvery was being refreshed when we went for ours but it was worth waiting for and there is plenty of choice too.

Been several times, usually in a large group.... fantastic meals, piping hot, generous and good value. WONDERFUL that I can have GF! Only thing that puts me off us very loud music speakers directly over the dining area.

The Pub is really nice, the drink quality was very good, and the bar/food service was very good/excellent. The food itself for me was fantastic Tandoori Chicken Skewers were cooked really well, the taste and presentation of my meal was fantastic the taste of the sprinkled paprika on the fries were excellent, salad excellent, yoghurt sauce excellent. only two minor niggles of this dish Sala Sauce I personally thought was not nice (usually my fav) put to one side as was spoiling the dish, the thickness of the naan too much, 2 small naans, or one thinner one preferred, but the Naan served was lovelly. The dish was excellent value for money.... I just want to point out that the two minor niggles are minor issues, one of the best pub meals I have ever had in a long time of this type. I would still give an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5.... I have still voted 5 stars in my review as next time I come I do hope the polite feedback of this dish is taken on board and again would reorder the same dish as everyone on our table commented on my dish and how fabulously it looked.... You cannot get a better compliment than everyone asking to try and saying it tasted lovely. THANK YOU TO VENUE AND ALL THE STAFF, THIS IS A GENUINE PAYING CUSTOMER (WELL MY PARTNER PAID), AND I WILL BE BACK AGAIN. PS: A shout out to Eleanor, she was very polite, professional and was serving clients with the utmost professionalism and politeness. Credit to the venue.

Traditional pub with fantastic traditional grub, would be how I describe The Ivy House. Visited upon recommendation from a family friend for two birthdays. The food is banging!! The chips are the nicest I've tasted in decades! Everyone has left happy and full to the brim. Couldn't stomach dessert as the portions are very healthy. Would definitely recommend!

We had an awesome lunch. Fabulous service My fish burger was outstanding, one of the nicest I've had. The mushroom cabonara was delicious too.

Nice visit today on Christmas Eve for lunch. Prawns were fantastic as always and would recommend the sticky toffee pudding. Very busy and good atmosphere. Was seated outside but kept warm with the heaters. Plenty gluten free options also :) x

I got married in October What an amazing experience we had!! Susan and the team go all out!! It was so magical from start to finish. The food was hot and executed perfectly so guests were not waiting ages.

Came here for a family celebration and was not disappointed. The atmosphere, food, and lovely staff all contributed to a fantastic night out. We all chose a variety of delicious starters and mains and could not fault any.

I only have positive things to say about this place. The bar and wait staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. They have a good variety of drinks on offer behind the bar. I've eaten a few times and the food has always been brilliant, their home cooked chips are spot on!

Was our first time visiting Hatch yesterday, what a lovely place! The atmosphere was great and the staff were so friendly! The food and drinks were also amazing, a solid 10/10 😊

Superb. Great good, very friendly and helpful staff and nice ambience. We went back again. It was my birthday and wanted to get a decent breakfast so went here, it was the right choice. I had the Eggs Benny which is also known as Eggs Benedict. There are 3 options - Serrano Ham, Mushrooms & Spinach or Smoked Salmon. I love smoked salmon so easy choice. You can also choose sourdough toast or English muffin and I went for the sourdough. It was superb. The smoked salmon was high quality with a really strong deep smoking giving it loads of flavour. The poached Eggs were spot on, the house hollandaise was very good and the toast was great too. I had a coffee with it and that was decent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. We went back two days later on the last day of our trip to Halifax. If we return to Halifax we will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended. Thanks!

This is the first Time I have come here and just came for a coffee, out side seating is ok it’s spacious and not intrusive from table to table, although the quality of seating can be better, the staff were very friendly and they are not understaffed, young lady in the photo was very friendly and ok for me to add her photo, enjoyed the coffee most importantly so will most definitely be trying this place again for probably some food as well next time. Most definitely recommend this in the afternoon if you want to sit out side as the sun will be from the side without the building in front blocking it in the morning.
