Our first experience dining here was delightful! Every step of the way ; booking and the end of the meal was perfected by the personable service from every single member of staff including the owner! Took my mother in law for her birthday and they even prepared a birthday sign on the wall, good wine and delicious , very generous portion of food! So well done and thank you for everything! Have no doubt recommending La Cantina! Thank you again! We'll definitely return.

The food was great. Tasted good and was served hot. Waitress service excellent we were offered fresh ground black pepper and cheese with our food and waiters were on hand if you needed anything. I have marked the atmosphere low only because it was very noisy, and we struggled to talk and listen to each other.

Tharavadu
7-8 Mill Hill, Leeds LS1 5DQ, UK | Indian Restaurant P: 0113 244 0500
Rating: 4.6 (3279) Price Level:
While I was living in Leeds this place helped me to give the feeling of being in India. The place is very close to the city centre. Not very far from the market place. Remember to reserve early. Or else you might need to wait for more than 45 mins. Especially in the weekends and any occasions. I haven't seen any Indian restaurant filled with so many foreigners having typical Indian food. I was really amazed. Twice I went with my foreign friends and they really liked it very much. The south Indian food is simply great. The Keralian fish was awesome cooked with coconut. Also you can get alcohol as well. The price was around 40 gbp for two people and that was in 2020. The behaviour of the staffs were really nice and didn't have to wait too long after we ordered the food. The ambience is so Indian. In the upstair there's enough space but personally I prefer the downstair. If a fan of Indian cricket then can see the memories of Virat and Ganguly inside the restaurant. Both of them came here during the 2019 ODI World Cup. Every taste was very authentic and has pleasant Keralian taste. The aroma of food made me think as if I was in Kerala. During busy times you might need to rush or else take time , chat and enjoy the food. Thanks for making my time in Leeds a very special one. I still miss the food from the superb restaurant. Cheers!

Tamanna provided an exceptional experience while welcoming and serving a guest. Despite being younger, her knowledge was impressive for her age. She was attentive, well-groomed, and easy to approach. In the restaurant, she explained each dish in detail, showcasing her expertise and making the dining experience enjoyable.

What a gem of a place. Weāve been visiting Tharavadu for a number of years now. Itās been a while since our last visit due to circumstance but we managed to get there on Saturday afternoon with some friends for a long overdue catch up. My word, we were NOT disappointed! The menu since COVID has been reduced but that is certainly not a bad thing. I feel the team have concentrated on their core dishes and have made the menu so āunderstandableā. Better descriptions of food therefore making it easier to select the right dish and accompaniment . The food was absolutely amazing and I canāt wait to go back. i can wholly recommend the king prawns to start and the fish stew as a main, just superb. As always the service was excellent. Thank you Team Tharavadu for another wonderful and memorable meal xx

Amazing good with such outstanding flavours. Creative presentation. Very professional way pf managing a very busy restaurant without fuss or delay but with complete calm. We were pressured unto buying an additional rice as the waitress thought we needed it and didn't listen to us but we didn't let it spoil the Amazing meal. We will definitely return next time we are in Leeds and would recommend this experience to anyone who loves good food

Rating: 4.7 (1963) Price Level:
One of the very best evenings we have ever had. The food was fabulous with no bad dishes at all. The service was top notch, could not be faulted. They accommodated our wheelchair/crutches without any fuss at all and best of all gave us a separate menu and ordering pad for the food allergy at our table. This meant, the person who usually feels a little excluded felt entirely included. Very very pleased, great work. If only everyone thought this way. Super fast, super friendly. Highly highly recommended.

Our first experience here and wow, gorgeous. The pink lemonade is 10/10. Everything in the menu we enjoyed and it was to die for. Quick amazing service. Genevieve especially catered for us so kindly, including showing us how to use the chopsticks and even made a handy trick for me to use them! Beautiful time for our anniversary, thank you!

This place is busy! Make sure you book before you go. we turned up for lunch thinking we could walk in but they said they were fully booked for the day. Really disappointed as we had travelled to eat here. The man at the desk did not even suggest we could book for the evening, we realised this ourselves thankfully and booked an evening slot. The website is poor. Extremely slow and frustrating. The food here is good. It's fresh for sure and it tasted nice. The sushi was my favourite and the salt and pepper chicken. However, I do not think this meal is worth over Ā£40 per person. I do think it's overpriced. The staff were great, very attentive and quick with orders and picking up plates. I don't think I'd visit again but it was a good experience to try.

I must admit I was unsure when I saw the location but was happily surprised. We had a large group and even without pre orders the food was out and with all dinners with no issue. The staff are friendly and care a lot about service. They did it with personality which always makes the dinning experience enjoyable. I can understand why it has such good reviews. Everyone within our party spoke very highly of the meal. Mine was very tasty. Highly recommend!

We managed to book last minute for early evening. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Service was excellent. Food was really nice. Lovely evening.
Rating: 5 / 5
This place is unreal, we are lucky enough to have this fantastic restaurant a stones throw away from our home and we have visited many times but tonight was above exceptional. We wanted fish and were greeted with a variety for fish dishes on the specials menu, halibut was my choice and the monkfish was my husband's choice they both were fantastic, cooked to perfection lightly seasoned but just enough not to spoil the wonderful fresh fish, which might I add was a huge piece. Like I said, the food is always good, and I don't know why this restaurant isn't drowning in food awards. The staff are so professional front of house are always smiling through the pressures of a busy environment, but I have to say whoever the chefs are in the kitchen they should be proud of themselves because the food is exceptional the kind of food that makes your Christmas baubles tingle. Merry Christmas Francos, here's to many more amazing visits. ššš¤

Excellent authentic Italian restaurant. In a secluded spot near the Springs, you really need to know it's there or you could easily miss it. My wife brought me here for my birthday, and wow, the food was amazing. If you're a meat lover like me, it's like going to a perfect barbecue and delicious food that has been cooked to perfection just keeps appearing for you to eat. We can't wait to go again!
Rating: 4 / 5
Estabulo is one of our favourite places to dine, we dine fairly often, this time we came as a family to celebrate CNY. We was greeted & seated promptly & drink orders were taken, drinks arrived quickly. We enjoy the salad bar & overall service was good, slightly on the slow side for steak to be served but this could be due to staff shortage, the manager gave our drinks on the house to compensate which was very generous, we already had 50% discount so overall we had a lovely evening.

Rating: 5 / 5
Not only a delicious meal but an experience too! We went for a lunchtime festive meal for my daughters and her friends birthdays. Lovely decor in the restaurant and attentive staff initially. The all you can eat help yourself salad bar had a wide range of things on and it was all fresh and tasty. The skewers of meat came round with the waiters very regularly and they were happy to fetch things back if we'd missed it or said no the first time. They did take ages to bring our drinks and forgot the water we ordered twice, but we got it eventually and it didn't detract from a gorgeous meal and place.

Brasserie Blanc Leeds

Rating: 4.6 (1400) Price Level:
I'm usually rather reluctant when it comes to chain restaurants but honestly had a marvelous experience! The food was very tasty, staff very polite, and a very cozy atmosphere. The only downside was the wait time for the food... We waited over an hour for our mains.
Rating: 4 / 5
Very busy probably due to the current 50% off mains offer so a small delay on our booked table. Great food however and prompt service. Worth a trip
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely food and attentive service make this a fine spot for French dining in Leeds. In a pretty location by the river, the candlelit ambience creates a warm environment. By all means, save room for the signature desserts!
Rating: 4 / 5
Spotted the brasserie while I was exploring along the canal and thought I would give it a try even though I had dinner plans. The service was good and friendly. I ordered the fish soup which was tasty. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other items on menu. Update: went back and had a 3 course meal. They didn't disappoint. Service was great and so was the food. For dessert they had a raspberry souffle which was really nice.

Rating: 4.5 (2361) Price Level:
āWe recently visited Tattu in Leeds to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were taken in by the beautiful, calming ambiance, and the team made us feel incredibly welcomed. Tom, our server, was exceptionally helpfulāwhen he realized it was our first time at Tattu, he went above and beyond, guiding us through the menu, explaining the dishes in detail, and making thoughtful recommendations. Thanks to him, we felt confident in trying new things and loved every bit of it! The entire experience was seamless, and Tattu truly made our special day even more memorable. Unfortunately, we couldnāt find Tom on the floor as we were leaving, so Iād like to use this chance to thank him again here. Tom is an absolute asset to your team! Thank you, Tattu, for a wonderful evening!ā

Now, letās talk about the food! we had the Tattu signatures, Each dish was a delightful adventure, bursting with flavors that were both tasty and intriguingly unique. Itās like the chef took a trip around the china and brought back the best souvenirs to our plates. Every bite was a celebration of creativity and skill! And speaking of celebrations, our server David was the ultimate party host! With a smile that could light up the room and a wealth of knowledge about the menu, he made our dining experience not just enjoyable but also informative. His attentiveness ensured we never felt neglected, making us feel like VIPs at a culinary gala. In short, Tattu Leeds is a feast for the sensesādelicious food, a stunning atmosphere, and top-notch service. If you're in the mood for a meal thatās as fun as it is flavorful, donāt miss out on this gem!
Rating: 5 / 5
The drinks are very expensive. The food was absolutely amazing & definitely worth it with 40% off. We had the Ā£90 per head set menu & in all honesty there was too much food. Our dessert was changed as theyād run out of sticky toffee which is a bit disappointing given we dined at 5pm. Also we were given the same cutlery for each wave, which personally Iād have preferred new. Our waiter was great, explaining everything & was really knowledgable & friendly. Would definitely return while they have offers on or for a special occasion but probably not affordable for a general visit

Visited for the first time last Saturday. The decor inside is amazing, really beautiful place. We had booked a table online, however we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I understand waiting 5-10 minutes, but 30 minutes was longer than expected. However on the plus side, we did manage to get a drink from the bar, which was really good. Bar staff have an excellent knowledge of drinks. We settled for the signature set menu. It was absolutely incredible, the tastes and flavours were superb. We were left to enjoy the food and felt that we were given enough time to enjoy the experience. I had ask the staff a couple times for a fork to use, however this never arrived but with it being a busy Saturday I understand things get forgotten. My partner and I really enjoyed the experience, we will definitely be visiting again in the future.
Rating: 5 / 5
My wife and I had the most wonderful experience at Tattu, between waiting for trains. We were served by Amber, who was attentive, diligent, warm and courteous. Any establishment is lucky to have her. She recommended the perfect amount of dishes and pairings for us both and guided us through the menu. As halal diners, the menu provides plenty of appropriate options - a stand out dish has to be the mushroom spring rolls. A must go for Leeds foodies.

Meat Chop Masala, Boiled Rice and Naan Bread - Delicious! I forgot to take a photo as the food smelt so good, hence the empty plate. You can taste the combinations of spices wrapped around the delicious chops. A thick and flavourful sauce. I will most definitely be ordering from Shimlas again.

Clean and fresh! The food was spot on as usual at Shimlas, portions are generous and pricing is fair. Canāt complain and consistent across all the shimlas. Fried fish was beautiful, the dynamite chicken sauce was spot on, with the crispy chicken batter. Naan was fresh and fluffy with fresh chicken donner!

Sky Lounge
Granary Wharf, Leeds LS1 4BR, UK | Bar P: 0113 241 1043
Rating: 4.3 (1460) Price Level:
Simply an amazing place to be. Staff are so friendly, a little pricey but that's expected due to location. Free nibbles and water when you arrive is a lovely touch.
Rating: 4 / 5
Sunday afternoon tea at Sky Lounge was a lovely experience with my OH, which we'd booked through buyagift. Booking was easy by phone and we were sent a text reminder the day before to confirm our booking. Had a beautiful window seat and service was friendly and efficient. Our finger sandwiches were excellent and probably the highlight of the afternoon tea. The Mango and passionfruit torte & the White chocolate raspberry delice were sublime. However the Mini chocolate fudge cake and Clementine tartlet were slightly stale and tasted like something from a poor supermarket bakery. The scones also didn't seem fresh and were heavy and brick like, rather than light and fluffy. They were saved by the Bonne Maman strawberry jam and the clotted cream. Great views and a chilled vibe. Would definitely consider coming back. Although as the sweet offerings were a bit of a mixed bag, we both agreed that a savoury only afternoon tea might work better, with a greater selection of delicious sandwiches or other additional savoury items instead.
Rating: 4 / 5
Came for drinks. Got a mango IPA (440ml) and a vodka soda lime - cost Ā£13. Nice friendly staff, had to order at bar as no one came to our table. Staff were very attentive after we ordered drinks. Nice views when sat outside - heaters are available. Lots of smokers outside (not for long thanks Keir), so if youāre not a smoker hold your breath. Booked online but was told to sit anywhere when we arrived.
Rating: 4 / 5
Fancy looking bar on the 13th floor that mainly serves drinks and does afternoon tea. Brunch menu is available on the weekend at specified times. I attended alone but the atmosphere was nice. I may be remembering incorrectly but I think there was a live DJ. Most of the people were well dressed including staff. The service I experienced was good. You can enjoy the lovely view from the balcony either sitting at a table or standing by the balustrade. Great place for a date. Menu is bit pricey - not your average bar but not extremely over the top either. Reservations can be made through OpenTable.
Rating: 5 / 5
Lovely afternoon tea! We opted for the classic afternoon tea at Ā£24.95 per person with unlimited tea or coffee and we were offered a good range of options for both. Cocktails, prosecco or champagne can also be added to the afternoon tea package for an additional cost. The food was lovely, we particularly enjoyed the sandwiches, which had a lovely selection of fillings. Service was friendly and efficient and we were kept well topped up with tea and coffee throughout. The restaurant is on the 13th floor and normally has great views of the city. Sadly it was a rainy day for our visit so unfortunately we couldn't properly appreciate the view but thoroughly enjoyed the experience anyway.

Just been in for lunch, my aunt had scampi and chips which she said they was fabulous as always. I have the 10oz sirloin steak, cooked to perfection medium rare by Sam. Our server was Catherine, very friendly and helpful, we will be definitely coming back. Thank you guys š

It's been a while since I have visited a harvester. I was warmly welcomed in with a trainee and an experienced member of staff. It seemed like it was the first few shifts for the trainee, but he took our order and drinks very well. We dined on the lunch menu, which was very good value for money, 2 courses, and the free salad bar for around 13 pounds, I believe. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the burger was juicy. The salad seemed relatively fresh for an open salad bar. I would recommend to people going for a cheap lunch.

Reasonably quiet for a Friday night but really enjoyed our time there. Given a lovely corner booth with plenty of room for 5 of us. Meals were all cooked well by Olly, he knows how to cook a mixed grill, and everything was served beautifully by Catherine. She made sure we had our drinks, that the food was good, told us where drinks station was and salad bar, very good server, couldn't have done any more for us. She even sang happy birthday to me when presenting me with a cake, (nice voice Catherine). Will certainly be returning there and hope to get same server, and chef.
