Best Sunday lunch in Newmillerdam and Sandal! Pink beef, pork with cracking, plentiful gravy (they even bring extra), fresh vegetables, homemade huge Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes - super kids portions too. We’re so happy to have this on our doorstep.

We visit here often, and have had Sunday lunch yesterday and previously booked Sunday Lunch for Father’s Day a couple of weeks ago . It was a set menu of 2 or 3 courses, and the standard of every dish was absolutely top notch. We were at Harvey Nichols for Sunday Lunch a couple of weeks ago and this was comparable if not better! The hash brown with black pudding centre, crispy bacon and veloute was absolutely delicious. The roast beef and pork were cooked to perfection, fabulous yorkshire puds and the crispiest crackling ever, and the tastiest roast potatoes we’ve had anywhere. Creamy unctuous cauliflower cheese was the perfect extra side. All piping hot and perfect sized portions. The summer berry eton mess was a perfect end to a fabulous meal. Tasted as good as it looked! Best meal we’ve had in a while, and the friendliest attentive service too from a lovely team. Compliments to the fantastic chef and thank you to the whole team for making our Father’s Day and every time we visit such a success, we’ll be back again very soon!

The best Sunday dinner we’ve ever had! Everything was gorgeously cooked, all 8 people at our table had empty plates. Incredible service from 3 lovely young ladies, highly recommend this place!

The place has had a fantastic renovation. The music festival was a really good afternoon out . Wish we could have stayed till the end. Didn't have any food so can't review it.

Well, I eat out plenty and I am also a very picky and hard to please foodie, with 28 years working in the hospitality industry. As far as places to go for a meal around Wakefield, the food that landed on the table in front of me last night was easily one of the best meals I have had from any where in/around Wakefield. I had a fillet steak, it was cooked as requested, it was well rested with not a drop of blood on the plate from a medium rare steak, so kudos to the chef in the kitchen, the person can cook 👌🏻 the fresh chips excellent, other accompaniments spot on! Everything was hot and on warmed plates. The staff on the bar and front of house, both very good. The right amount of attention given, not in your face at all, and could not do enough. The only thing that puzzled me was the units in the restaurant, all the drawers were open and all at different positions, OCD on overdrive! Turns out it's to let the heat out from the radiators behind 🤷‍♂️ All in all, great food, great staff, with a nice atmosphere, that could do with a small refresh. Will I go again? Absolutely 100%
