Visited yesterday for Sunday lunch with my nan, she used to attend the reggae nights on a Friday back in the day. Darren was beyond attentive and really made my nan feel special, talking about the old days with her, gave her a tour of the venue, a bowl of the coleslaw she used to eat there and a lovely flower from the gardens as we left. Wonderful venue! The host and staff were very friendly and the service was great. The food was delicious with a great choice of courses too. Nothing was too much trouble and my special requests were met without any fuss which made our evening an extra special one! Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hidden Jen restaurant last night, and it was truly a memorable experience. Had a lovely dinner here - the food was lovely, as were the owner & staff. I’m GF and they went out to get buns especially so I could have a burger which was so kind! Cocktails are also great. Highly recommend

This really is a "Hidden Gem." Thank you, Jen, and your wonderful, happy, friendly staff. The menu was amazing, and we let Jen surprise us with an amazing selection of food. My favourite was the chorizo! This is a must place to visit if in the area.

Lovely pub and atmosphere. Very good selection of drinks, starters and desserts. Quality of what we had was very high and the service was excellent. The only reason why I don’t give the 5th star is that I found the choice of the mains quite limited and maybe a bit samey compared to other gastropubs.

We had walked 5.5 miles around the local countryside When it was suggested that we would like to lunch in the papermakers. We was warmly greeted and showed to a table for 5 The food was great 4x sausages and mash and I had the thai chicken curry all of had clear plates Followed by 4x apple crumbles and 1 mixed icecream yet again 5 clear plates. Good pubs come to those who travel to Plaxtol. As soon as I popped my head into the Papermakers Arms I knew I was in the right place. The interior is modern, bright, but still has that country feel given the hearth and historic photographs. I loved reading the stories dotted on the walls; they invite the customer to not just a pub, but an institution. I also loved the decor of the tables; the Papermakers Arms leather table mats, candles and flower arrangements are beautiful. With all the poignant details, it was predictable the food would follow the same Qualities. Right I was; each dish was splendidly presented and prepared. There was thought put into the plates the food was showcased upon. I loved the service, down to earth, professional and caring. This was up there with the best pub food experiences of my life.

Loved this place , food was amazing, dog friendly!! The bloody Mary's to die for ,will also recommend the prawn starters and the bao buns !!! Staff is so friendly and service is quick ,!!!

Best fish and chips for miles around Kent. Great family run chippy. My new local, even tho it's a 15 minute drive away.

Loved this place cooking. Am a fan of Fried Chicken, seasoning is amazing, fried crispy to prefection and great portions. Friendly and great service. All the complinents to this local business. I endorse their cooking and service 100%.

Lovely little fish and chip shop just off the high street, very friendly staff and very good value, parking right opposite for a few cars or more parking in the high street including a free car park, delicious fish and chips.

We went to the Plough for Thai Night and wow it was amazing! The food was very tasty. The flavors were well-balanced, combining sweet, sour, and spicy elements in a satisfying way. The dishes were freshly prepared with quality ingredients. From the aromatic curries to most amazing fish dish, each item vibrant and bold tastes typical of Thai cuisine. It was both filling and flavorful, leaving a positive impression overall. We will definitely be going back!

Went for a birthday with ten of us, a mix of kids and adults and had a fab Sunday lunch. Beef, Lamb and Turkey were all wonderfully cooked and the food was plentiful. The staff were exceptionally kind and couldn’t do enough for us, including the landlord who made us feel continuously welcome. The surrounding area was also beautiful with quite a few walks - I recommended leaving it for after the food! Wouldn’t hesitate to go here again.

Best pub in the sevenoaks area by far. Ben is a fantastic host you couldn't feel more welcome. Me and my family love this place.

The staff are fantastic and so polite. The food is great to the portions are great I promise you you will not walk out still feeling hungry like some pubs

This restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is excellent and the chef really knows his stuff. The menus change with the seasons. Tonight we had scallops with the silkiest buerre blanc sauce, the crab meat and smoked salmon, steak Diane (cooked perfectly, melt in the mouth), Vineyard Chicken and the roasted cauliflower. For desserts we had the raspberry burnt cream with chocolate eclair and caramelised banana, all really tasty and beautifully presented. I really like the addition of flowers. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I have been twice now and have had the best experience each time. The restaurant does both set menus and A La Carte. They have a lovely vegan offering too. Wines range in price from around £20 and the list is extensive and interesting. They also have a great range of cocktails and mocktails. If you haven’t tried this restaurant out yet, then I highly recommend you do.

Having lived in the surrounding villages for a long time, and now moved to West Malling, I've driven past this place countless times. I’m aware that the premises have gone through a few variations over the years. I wasn’t sure what to expect, as I’d heard there were new owners who took over earlier this year. I was thinking it might have a pub/restaurant feel, but I was mistaken. This is not a pub at all, but a restaurant. Inside, it’s beautifully decorated. A lot of attention to detail and expense has clearly been put into the decoration, from the decor to the artwork. Chairs, tables—everything has been done to a high quality, giving it a sense of fine dining. This is enhanced by the exceptionally presented food and the excellent service provided by the staff. Moustapha, our main server, was excellent. The food was good and tasty and they have an excellently presented menu and wine list. The atmosphere was also wonderful, making it a great place for a date night. It stands out from other local places with its real restaurant feel.

I ordered the take away meal box for my husband’s birthday (we have young kids at home so this worked so well for us). Communication was easy, delivered (for free) at time stated. Really easy to follow reheating instructions and the food was superb!! Gave us that restaurant feel without leaving the house. Can’t wait to try the restaurant. The meal box includes 3 courses and a very welcome (delicious) cocktail. Excellent service, top notch food and reasonably priced for such great quality! Highly recommend

We were asked to provide. Roulette and a blackjack table for a private event. Gorgeous intimate space for a party. The food smelt and looked absolutely amazing. Fine dining just outside Borough Green .The table was immaculately laid and the soft lighting really adds to a warm and cosy ambiance. We hope to see you again ❤️

Gorgeous food! We’ve been to both the supper club and had the dining at home boxes and the food is to die for. High quality food & produce. The pastries and coffee on a Saturday are a must too! Couldn’t recommend enough!!

We had a really lovely visit to The Moody Mare recently, the first of many I hope. Great staff and a really good selection of drinks. The most incredible aspect of the pub is the building. The atmosphere is really special and history is truly worth hearing about. The team have managed to keep both the important historical features but add some unique features, such as the teepees at the back of the pub.

Even better second time! We came for dinner again and the food was superb. I had the Chorizo Scotch Egg to start, followed by the Cod and Fries, with the Irish Affogato to finish. Friendly service, lovely decor and clean facilities make this an excellent venue. We shall return!

Nice food for reasonable prices. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the venue is clean and really big. A service charge is automatically applied to bill at payment.

Our friend recommended coming to this place (because they enjoyed it) & said for us to have the sharing platter (as it was very yummy & freshly made). Me & my fiancé both thought it was a lovely place with a nice big back garden, the service was great & friendly & we really enjoyed our meal… it was delicious & it certainly filled us up & it was worth the total price £38 that was including 2 alcoholic drinks. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you x

The best fish and chips I've ever had. I don't hand out 5 stars that easy. They truly have an excellent customer service. Quick with orders and very friendly at pick up. I don't know how they do it but the fish tastes amazing. I will definitely be craving this after the summer holidays are over. You should open a Dubai branch :)

Had large cod and two large battered sausages. Cod was huge and yummy, great batter. Sausages very tasty. All in all I was really impressed.

Been coming here for over 35 years, moved away a few years ago but whenever we are back in the area this is a must for us. Best fish and chips and for the veggies their spring rolls are excellent.

I cannot believe that I've lived in the local area for 17 years and not found this place. I've just popped in on way home from work as my go to fish bar closes at 20:30. So glad I did. This is one of the best Cod n Chips meals I've ever had. Awesome batter, chunky piece of Cod, all cooked fresh in front of me and the chap serving was so pleasant. I'll be back!
