Ben tutored my daughter for maths in year 11, 12 and 13. My daughter got a 9 in GCSE maths and is awaiting her A Level results. Ben has an indepth and vast understanding of maths, this enables him to clearly explain complex concepts. He takes a keen interest in pupil he is teaching and goes above and beyond to ensure that the child understands the subject in depth. He is very responsive, adapts to the needs of the pupil and happy to reschedule if needed. When my younger children are old enough I would hope that Ben can tutor them too.

Ben is such a good tutor we’ve had a few over the years for our two daughters and Ben is by far the best! My son started tutoring with RTC in year 4 of primary school, finally finishing his time with them in the Summer holidays following year 5. During that time we have felt fully supported, with there being a focus on my son as a whole person rather than just ‘getting him through’ his 11+. We were offered sound advice which I appreciated, a kind ear from the lovely Ilse and a confidence boost from everyone he encountered. I took my son to the Tonbridge campus and Tony could not have been a more wonderful tutor in every sense. We actually really miss the sessions since he stopped.

Both of my children attended weekly classes for about a year in the run up to the 11+. I think both of them benefitted a lot from the classes. It really helped them understand what to expect from the test and how to prepare for it, and get used to the style of questions. Thoroughly recommended.

Update- I had no hesitation enrolling my boys at RTC following the success they had with my first. Maria was brilliant with them and gave in-depth feedback every week. Thanks also to Ilse for being welcoming and approachable. I would definitely recommend RTC! My son prepared for his 11+ under RTC and passed excellently. I particularly liked the weekly feedback and the methodical approach to covering all the required topics across a range of subjects. Also the mock exams were apt opportunities to discuss strengths and weaknesses and agree steps forward to fill the gap. Special mention to Jo and Justine, and to Steph and Jinky for seamless front of house comms. All well appreciated.

Could not have asked for more for my daughter. The team in Tonbridge are absolutely amazing, great feedback and communication between tutor and parent, very welcoming and enjoyable for the children. My daughter loved the fact that on the first day she was given her own tuition satchel and stationary. Ilse was so lovely and understanding of every families own personal circumstances and very supportive. My child had 6 tuition sessions on a Saturday and a couple of full days during the summer holidays which were so valuable and I genuinely appreciate the wonderful contribution and teaching the group have provided her for the best start for secondary school. We are over the moon that she has passed! Thank you for everything! X

Nick was an excellent tutor over the summer; he provided a structured, well thought out programme of topics to help prepare my son for year 9 and keep his brain ticking over during the long holiday . Communication was excellent and Nick emailed brief feedback after each session and materials in preparation for the following week. My son enjoyed the sessions and I would thoroughly recommend Nick as a tutor.

Nick is an excellent and highly qualified tutor. He played a huge part in the achievement of my daughter's GCSE. From the beginning, he offered a lot of help and was very efficient in his lessons. My daughter has often surprised me with the variety of ways to solve a problem, and this is down to Nick, who has highly influenced her way of thinking . At the end of each lesson, Nick always gives feedback and homework for the next lesson.Nick increases her confidence, and by improving her grades significantly, she will now be doing Maths A level. Nick is a fantastic tutor. My son had to take some time off school due to illness and Nick created engaging and challenging sessions over the summer to ensure Oscar caught up ahead of year 10. Oscar throughly enjoys each session and feels confident going into an important year after the summer break. Teacher Paul is a Master of Teaching. My 13-year-old daughter is a big fan of Paul. One class in year 9 math made her realize how easy it is to grasp the essence of mathematical reasoning. One class on Victorian history inspired her to spontaneously commenced a interesting project of her own. She googled the Chinese chronology, did some research, and drew a series of clothing styles corresponding to each era. One month of preparation for the entrance exam gave her the opportunity to enter her dream school! It was teacher Paul who gave my daughter the confidence to make things happen.

Paul is professional and is focussed on planning the lessons by identifying my son’s needs. He has made a big difference to my son’s confidence and his enthusiasm towards learning, and he always comes out of the class smiling! Vicky is such a talented tutor, my daughter had an English teacher at school that was focusing too much on the negative. She and my son had had lessons with Vicky before (in yr6) so I felt confident she’d be the perfect person to give my daughter (yr10) the boost she needed. She had weekly lessons with Vicky up until going through her GCSEs and the change in her attitude towards learning and also her confidence in her own abilities has been seriously dramatic in the last few months. Now she’s actually really looking forward to getting her GCSE results!! I’ve already put my son on Vicky’s list to give him a boost as he starts yr11. Rita is such a lovely tutor, she took the time out of her day to make sure my daughter has the right work to complete and to ensure that she is getting the right tasks in order to do well in her gcses. With Rita my daughter was able to jump 2 whole grades which is a massive improvement. I could not recommend Rita enough, she is very good at what she does!

Fiona Cameron was incredible from the very first introduction. She spent time listening to our daughter to better understand what her capabilities and interests were. Fiona modified her approach and teaching style to suit our daughter which paid dividends. As the weeks progressed the creative writing that was being produced was so incredibly powerful and descriptive. Fiona was great at sharing her enthusiasm for her subject and always encouraging and engaging. I think it was particularly helpful that Fiona made a point of showing how thrilled she was at the results of our daughter’s efforts. I’m pleased to say that as a result of everything our daughter achieved an incredible result. I can’t recommend Fiona more highly, a fabulous teacher and a gentle person to be around.

My son finds school a little tricky but having a quieter, encouraging environment at RP Tutoring he really is improving. Richard provides regular and helpful feedback on my sons progress and focuses on areas he finds more difficult rather than all of the curriculum. This really is beneficial as it does not waste time on areas he is strong at.

Richard has been a fantastic tutor for my Daughter, who is shy, nervous and was very reluctant to go to a tutor! Richard was amazing at putting her at ease from the off, creating a positive learning environment, tailoring to her needs and making it fun. She originally saw him to give her confidence in her maths and English and then progressed to 11+ learning and she came on leaps and bounds. She looked forward to going every week! I wish he had been tutoring when my Son was doing his 11+ as we tried all the usual tutors in Ashford (large group sessions, using computers, 1:1) and none were as good. I’ll be brining my youngest to Richard in a couple of years. Thanks for everything!

Richard was great to speak too, gave brilliant feedback, and just helped my daughter take that extra step. He gave her confidence, and his message to her just resonated with her brilliantly. Whilst we didn't have regular tutoring, we gained valuable insight from the 11+ mocks and then a couple of 2 hrs intensive sessions the week before the Kent test.

A really thorough quiz which considers a variety of science terms and processes as part of the multiple choice, encouraging further learning or checking when the answers are revealed at the end of the test. Accessible, friendly and enjoyable. Just enough questions around the specific topics, enough to not become overbearing or confusing. Although I think that for GCSE, it may need to be a bit more challenging. Maybe there could be challenging levels to select and pass as part of the quizzing. Thank you.

Our son has SEN and despite that the amazing tutors from Explore learning Orpington had help him to make a massive progress in English and maths. Now over a year and a half of tutoring from explore learning we can even consider SATS for our son. Jacob is my son's favourite tutor. He is describing him as ,, the coolest -smashing one 🎉.

I am proud to say that my daughter has been with Explore Learning since 6 years old, and 5 years later (she is now 11) she had the support and encouragement through the years to excel at school....and for those parents interested....passed her 11+ grammar school exams. We found that Explore Learning provides rigour of learning at least once or twice a week. Therefore as children get older and need to do more, it is not a shock to the system. My son (6 years old) is now experiencing the same. Explore Learning also provided an independent view of how your child is progressing, which we found difficult to get from school outside of the standard parents evening. Finally, we managed to make the timings work where we dropped the kids in post school, which meant they were occupied for an hour....get back to work....and then do the pick up around 5pm. Hence no wrap around childcare needed :)

My daughter enjoys attending Explore Learning in Orpington . She comes in for in centre tuition and online. Her experiences for both are very positive and she really enjoys the online tuition in particular . It gives great flexibility as a working parent and the tutor is there with her to ask for help when she needs it. We find the online tuition a positive outcome .

My daughter started at Explore Learning - Orpington at a time that we had struggled with her then undiagnosed ADHD. When she started in 2002 she was working toward in all subjects, fast forward to 2025 and she is at expected and greater depth in her maths and English. The staff are professional and able to work with children of all abilities. The managers Kasia and Rosie have been nothing but supportive. Highly recommend!
