I’ve had many English tutors throughout my GCSE studies but Emma has by far been the best one, she has helped me increase my grades in English by an incredible 5 grades in the short time she taught me (from my year 10 mock to my actual GCSE’s!). Emma gave me great advice on how to approach exam style questions including how to efficiently answer questions. Emma was able to identify exactly what I struggled with in English which I didn’t even know my self and worked on that issue which ultimately lead to me getting a grade 8 in English language. Emma is such an incredible teacher I would highly recommend her lessons!

Without Emma, I could never have achieved a grade 9 in both English literature and language. Before starting my tutoring, my grades were at 6’s and 7’s and I didn’t know what I could do better to improve them. But once Emma started tutoring me, I began to discover my strengths and weaknesses. She increased my confidence and is incredibly supportive and kind. Rita is such a lovely tutor, she took the time out of her day to make sure my daughter has the right work to complete and to ensure that she is getting the right tasks in order to do well in her gcses. With Rita my daughter was able to jump 2 whole grades which is a massive improvement. I could not recommend Rita enough, she is very good at what she does!

Vicky has been a fantastic tutor for my daughter for 8 years right up to her GCSE exams. She tailored her lessons to my daughter's needs boosting her confidence. Fiona Cameron was incredible from the very first introduction. She spent time listening to our daughter to better understand what her capabilities and interests were. Fiona modified her approach and teaching style to suit our daughter which paid dividends. As the weeks progressed the creative writing that was being produced was so incredibly powerful and descriptive. Fiona was great at sharing her enthusiasm for her subject and always encouraging and engaging. I think it was particularly helpful that Fiona made a point of showing how thrilled she was at the results of our daughter’s efforts. Mr C was an excellent tutor. He was very welcoming and my daughter enjoyed all her lessons with him. He made lessons fun for her - we still play some of the games he taught her - and he was very good at explaining topics that she found difficult. She retained all the information he gave her. He was happy to tailor classes according to her needs. He was also very generous in terms of his time and with work materials as well. I highly recommend him.

Leesa tutored both my sons for the Kent test, the eldest remotely during a Covid lockdown. They both passed with flying colours. She made sessions fun and motivating, with rewards like sweets or little toys at the end of each session (delivered to our doorstep during lockdown!) and mini competitions between her pupils over a number of sessions for bigger prizes. Very approachable and flexible tutors with whom our daughters studied mainly maths during Years 10 and 11. They always listened to the girls' maths/science anxieties and gave them confidence. Their approach is to teach methods and offer exam practice so our daughters had lots of different types of help. Always happy to go over mock papers they had done in class. They really did make a difference to their grades.

Leesa tutored my daughter through statistics and maths GCSE. Despite having to get up early on a Saturday morning, my daughter very much enjoyed working with Leesa, who helped to improve her confidence and ability, supporting her to pass both subjects. Now keen to signing up child number 2!

Since my son started attending RTC Maidstone in October, his ability to stay focused in school has really improved, and his handwriting is a lot better. He enjoys attending and always looks forward to Lucie's class each week. Feedback is given after every lesson, which I find very useful. Lucie is very patient, warm, and accommodating. Right tution company Maidstone gave my daughter the support she needed to pass her 11plus test we decided to enrolled her for both Medway and Kent test and she did very well in both tests. The teams are very friendly and reports progress each week

Fantastic and fun support provided by Arthur, Bonnie and Henry. My boy loved the challenge of exceeding his own expectations, and attending the mock exams. He was confident sitting the exam and took in a variety of skills taught by the centre and from home. The groups were nice and small and the light hearted humour was welcome after a long school day.

My son started tutoring with RTC in year 4 of primary school, finally finishing his time with them in the Summer holidays following year 5. During that time we have felt fully supported, with there being a focus on my son as a whole person rather than just ‘getting him through’ his 11+. We were offered sound advice which I appreciated, a kind ear from the lovely Ilse and a confidence boost from everyone he encountered. I took my son to the Tonbridge campus and Tony could not have been a more wonderful tutor in every sense. We actually really miss the sessions since he stopped.

Update- I had no hesitation enrolling my boys at RTC following the success they had with my first. Maria was brilliant with them and gave in-depth feedback every week. Thanks also to Ilse for being welcoming and approachable. I would definitely recommend RTC! My son prepared for his 11+ under RTC and passed excellently. I particularly liked the weekly feedback and the methodical approach to covering all the required topics across a range of subjects. Also the mock exams were apt opportunities to discuss strengths and weaknesses and agree steps forward to fill the gap. Special mention to Jo and Justine, and to Steph and Jinky for seamless front of house comms. All well appreciated.

Both of my children attended weekly classes for about a year in the run up to the 11+. I think both of them benefitted a lot from the classes. It really helped them understand what to expect from the test and how to prepare for it, and get used to the style of questions. Thoroughly recommended.

A really thorough quiz which considers a variety of science terms and processes as part of the multiple choice, encouraging further learning or checking when the answers are revealed at the end of the test. Accessible, friendly and enjoyable. Just enough questions around the specific topics, enough to not become overbearing or confusing. Although I think that for GCSE, it may need to be a bit more challenging. Maybe there could be challenging levels to select and pass as part of the quizzing. Thank you.

We have been attending the centre since June 2021. Mr and Mrs Awan provide a calm, productive work environment and are very patient, there is a genuine sincerity in their care. The work is mainly computer based in small groups and lessons are designed for a student’s individual ability and aimed to build confidence as they progress. Mr and Mrs Awan have brilliant learning techniques and help students to understand how to answer questions correctly. The centre can cater for helping students study towards the Kent test but are also very helpful to students with learning difficulties who may need extra support. Mr and Mrs Awan share years of teaching experience in schools but now provide this tutoring programme which is reassuring for students and parents. I thoroughly recommend this centre.

So pleased with the tutoring my children receive at Kip McGrath Canterbury. Since joining in July my son and daughter have progressed a huge amount. The Kumon team at Canterbury have been fantastic in supporting my child's learning and have helped my child develop a systematic approach to learning and have helped build confidence in studies. The Kumon system has a tailored approach where the pace of learning is set by the child, rather than a one size fits all. Our experience has been very positive. Highly recommended.
