I highly recommend The Learning Academy. My daughter started attending at the beginning of Year 5 in preparation for her 11+ exam. She has so far benefited not only academically but her confidence is shining through. Having recently received a head teachers award at school for her maths work and since attending The Learning Academy is a subject she has gained much more confidence in. We cannot speak more highly of her exceptional teaching ability and particular skills in enhancing exam technique. Emma was always consistent in her ability to teach English to a very high standard whilst motivating our child to thrive in the subject. This resulted in our child achieving five marks below the maximum grade 9 in their GCSE exam. I’ve had many English tutors throughout my GCSE studies but Emma has by far been the best one, she has helped me increase my grades in English by an incredible 5 grades in the short time she taught me (from my year 10 mock to my actual GCSE’s!). Emma gave me great advice on how to approach exam style questions including how to efficiently answer questions. Emma was able to identify exactly what I struggled with in English which I didn’t even know my self and worked on that issue which ultimately lead to me getting a grade 8 in English language. Emma is such an incredible teacher I would highly recommend her lessons!

Serena’s approach to learning is brilliant. My son doesn’t feel pressured about learning; he loves her approach and looks forward to attending the Tuesday lesson after school each week. We never have to ask him to do his homework, and he will get upset if the weekend is so busy and packed and he doesn't get the time to do his homework from Serena’s session. He would wake up early, unprompted by us, saying I must do my homework, not from fear or anything but from a place of joy in learning and a sense of completing his homework. I’m thankful to Serena that her approach eliminates any fear of learning. She makes it fun and challenging, so my son feels like he has achieved something when he understands something he didn't initially or previously understand. As parents, we get an update on our son’s performance and progress each week. What he did well, he needs to focus on and even say if he needs 1:1 support with any particular area of the learning. I wish her approach to education was how schools delivered their learning instead of how they do that. Her focus is on each child as an individual and their stage of learning. So, the teaching is tailored to the individual child's ability rather than the approach at school, which doesn’t challenge each child and where they are in their learning stage. Schools teach to the common denominator, while Serena teaches to the individual child’s level and ability. I would HIGHLY recommend Serena’s tuition approach.

My Daughter went to set4success for 11+ tuition and passed this year. It's a lovely, relaxed learning environment that she really enjoys going to, inspired to learn through the lovely teacher and grammar school students. We are going to continue having lessons until year 7 as it has really supplemented primary school and is a great confidence boost! Rowena has tutored my daughter for 13 months and she successfully passed her 11+ and taken her ISEB exams. Rowena was very good at identifying areas of improvement and bought along additional materials like practise papers every week. Even though my son joined just before last month's test, I am very glad for what Ruvini did for him. I enrolled him for a mock test, and afterward, Ruvini clearly identified my son's weak areas. Excellent mock test experience with Tutor World. We prepared for the Kent test at home and took two mock tests (both during few months before the real exams). These mock tests have greatly helped to solidify confidence and gave a motivational boost. It also helped my daughter to practice controlling her nerves on the real test day and experience exam-like environment. She was able to achieve excellent score in the Kent test. Grand tutors is an excellent tutoring school. My son attended the school for only 7 weeks during the Summer holiday, and then went on to pass the 11 plus with a high score. Grand tutors gave my son the tools and the knowledge to pass the Grammar test on a very short time scale. The tutor is dedicated to her pupils and always gives encouragement and praise. My son enjoyed every lesson and was always keen to attend his next class. He also won the end of year 11 plus Mock exam , and is now achieving well above his expected levels in Maths and English at his Junior school.
