Grand tutors is an excellent tutoring school. My son attended the school for only 7 weeks during the Summer holiday, and then went on to pass the 11 plus with a high score. Grand tutors gave my son the tools and the knowledge to pass the Grammar test on a very short time scale. The tutor is dedicated to her pupils and always gives encouragement and praise. My son enjoyed every lesson and was always keen to attend his next class. He also won the end of year 11 plus Mock exam , and is now achieving well above his expected levels in Maths and English at his Junior school. Rita is such a lovely tutor, she took the time out of her day to make sure my daughter has the right work to complete and to ensure that she is getting the right tasks in order to do well in her gcses. With Rita my daughter was able to jump 2 whole grades which is a massive improvement. I could not recommend Rita enough, she is very good at what she does!

Vicky has been a fantastic tutor for my daughter for 8 years right up to her GCSE exams. She tailored her lessons to my daughter's needs boosting her confidence. Vicky also greatly helped my son by providing a couple of adhoc lessons to assist him with understanding some very difficult equations on his electrical course. As a result both passed their exams. Fiona Cameron was incredible from the very first introduction. She spent time listening to our daughter to better understand what her capabilities and interests were. Fiona modified her approach and teaching style to suit our daughter which paid dividends. As the weeks progressed the creative writing that was being produced was so incredibly powerful and descriptive. Fiona was great at sharing her enthusiasm for her subject and always encouraging and engaging. I think it was particularly helpful that Fiona made a point of showing how thrilled she was at the results of our daughter’s efforts. I’m pleased to say that as a result of everything our daughter achieved an incredible result. I can’t recommend Fiona more highly, a fabulous teacher and a gentle person to be around.

Vicky is such a talented tutor, my daughter had an English teacher at school that was focusing too much on the negative. She and my son had had lessons with Vicky before (in yr6) so I felt confident she’d be the perfect person to give my daughter (yr10) the boost she needed. She had weekly lessons with Vicky up until going through her GCSEs and the change in her attitude towards learning and also her confidence in her own abilities has been seriously dramatic in the last few months. Highly recommended! Kate is a wonderful science tutor. Very easy to understand, and a great support in closing the gaps due to the huge in-depth GCSE and A-level science curriculum. Tutor World really help my child, I tried others for lessons for the 11+ for my son. I was told he won’t pass as he lacks focus, but when I went to tutor world for an assessment, Ruvini was very helpful and told me with little effort my son could do well at the exam, am so happy I listen to her advice, as I almost gave up. Tried the ionic bonding quiz which was exactly the right level

A really thorough quiz which considers a variety of science terms and processes as part of the multiple choice, encouraging further learning or checking when the answers are revealed at the end of the test. Accessible, friendly and enjoyable. Just enough questions around the specific topics, enough to not become overbearing or confusing. Although I think that for GCSE, it may need to be a bit more challenging. Maybe there could be challenging levels to select and pass as part of the quizzing. Thank you.

Very approachable and flexible tutors with whom our daughters studied mainly maths during Years 10 and 11. They always listened to the girls' maths/science anxieties and gave them confidence. Their approach is to teach methods and offer exam practice so our daughters had lots of different types of help. Always happy to go over mock papers they had done in class. They really did make a difference to their grades.

Leesa tutored both my sons for the Kent test, the eldest remotely during a Covid lockdown. They both passed with flying colours. Marolyn is an excellent tutor. My daughter came to her late in the year and was behind following lockdown. Marolyn quickly assessed where she needed help and worked hard to get her to level she needed to be at.
