Review of Kumon Ashford south I decided to register my children into Kumon to prepare them for school. To introduce them to learning within a group, and Kumon did not disappoint, but the real reward of Kumon came during the pandemic when we had to home school, my children found learning from home very easy as they are used to doing their kumon work daily at home. As the effects of the pandemic lingers on, I am confident that my children are still learning to their full potential as they continue to do their Kumon learning in addition to their school work.

My son made very steady and very fast progress with his maths ,all due to the amazing mathematics program Kumon has got in place. Kumon built confidence in him which he did not have at the time of joining.He started getting good remarks from the school which was very thrilling to hear. I recommend Kumon to any kid at any grade as it’s never late to start with Kumon, The team there are excellent at how to take your kid to the higher gear within a very short space of time.

My son started tutoring with RTC in year 4 of primary school, finally finishing his time with them in the Summer holidays following year 5. During that time we have felt fully supported, with there being a focus on my son as a whole person rather than just ‘getting him through’ his 11+. We were offered sound advice which I appreciated, a kind ear from the lovely Ilse and a confidence boost from everyone he encountered. I took my son to the Tonbridge campus and Tony could not have been a more wonderful tutor in every sense. We actually really miss the sessions since he stopped.

Both of my children attended weekly classes for about a year in the run up to the 11+. I think both of them benefitted a lot from the classes. It really helped them understand what to expect from the test and how to prepare for it, and get used to the style of questions. Thoroughly recommended.

My daughter started with the RTC (TW) in Y4, and she's finished her journey with success now. My daughter loved the weekly classes with her excellent and extremely professional tutor, Justine.. Justine was fully supportive, with her invaluable advice and guidance. I really can't recommend her enough. Could not have asked for more for my daughter. The team in Tonbridge are absolutely amazing, great feedback and communication between tutor and parent, very welcoming and enjoyable for the children. My daughter loved the fact that on the first day she was given her own tuition satchel and stationary. Ilse was so lovely and understanding of every families own personal circumstances and very supportive. My child had 6 tuition sessions on a Saturday and a couple of full days during the summer holidays which were so valuable and I genuinely appreciate the wonderful contribution and teaching the group have provided her for the best start for secondary school. Rowena was very good at identifying areas of improvement and bought along additional materials like practise papers every week. Couldn't recommend these enough, Lucie who has been teaching my son for about a year now has been amazing with his learning troubles. Right tution company Maidstone gave my daughter the support she needed to pass her 11plus test we decided to enrolled her for both Medway and Kent test and she did very well in both tests. The teams are very friendly and reports progress each week

Fantastic and fun support provided by Arthur, Bonnie and Henry. My boy loved the challenge of exceeding his own expectations, and attending the mock exams. He was confident sitting the exam and took in a variety of skills taught by the centre and from home. The groups were nice and small and the light hearted humour was welcome after a long school day.

Rita is such a lovely tutor, she took the time out of her day to make sure my daughter has the right work to complete and to ensure that she is getting the right tasks in order to do well in her gcses. With Rita my daughter was able to jump 2 whole grades which is a massive improvement. I could not recommend Rita enough, she is very good at what she does!

Vicky has been a fantastic tutor for my daughter for 8 years right up to her GCSE exams. She tailored her lessons to my daughter's needs boosting her confidence. Vicky also greatly helped my son by providing a couple of adhoc lessons to assist him with understanding some very difficult equations on his electrical course. As a result both passed their exams. Fiona Cameron was incredible from the very first introduction. She spent time listening to our daughter to better understand what her capabilities and interests were. Fiona modified her approach and teaching style to suit our daughter which paid dividends. As the weeks progressed the creative writing that was being produced was so incredibly powerful and descriptive. Fiona was great at sharing her enthusiasm for her subject and always encouraging and engaging. I think it was particularly helpful that Fiona made a point of showing how thrilled she was at the results of our daughter’s efforts. Very approachable and flexible tutors with whom our daughters studied mainly maths during Years 10 and 11. They always listened to the girls' maths/science anxieties and gave them confidence. Their approach is to teach methods and offer exam practice so our daughters had lots of different types of help. Always happy to go over mock papers they had done in class. They really did make a difference to their grades.

Leesa tutored both my sons for the Kent test, the eldest remotely during a Covid lockdown. They both passed with flying colours.
