Rita is such a lovely tutor, she took the time out of her day to make sure my daughter has the right work to complete and to ensure that she is getting the right tasks in order to do well in her gcses. Fiona Cameron was incredible from the very first introduction. She spent time listening to our daughter to better understand what her capabilities and interests were. Fiona modified her approach and teaching style to suit our daughter which paid dividends. As the weeks progressed the creative writing that was being produced was so incredibly powerful and descriptive. Fiona was great at sharing her enthusiasm for her subject and always encouraging and engaging. I think it was particularly helpful that Fiona made a point of showing how thrilled she was at the results of our daughter’s efforts. I’m pleased to say that as a result of everything our daughter achieved an incredible result. I can’t recommend Fiona more highly, a fabulous teacher and a gentle person to be around.

We enrolled for 11 plus English classes with Rosy as my son was good in other subjects. Rosy is an exceptional tutor. Since working with her my sons English scores has immensely improved and also he became strong in grammar. We could see huge jump in our sons confidence level within few classes. Rosie is an excellent teacher. She was very patient, gave the kids time to learn & understand things. Rosie is a brilliant tutor, my daughter loved going to her because she is exceptionally kind and patient, and she really helped her improve in all areas of the 11+ study. My daughter passed the 11+ with a score in the top 180, which is down to the tutoring she received from Rosie. Now my son is studying with her too! I used to fear using First Tutors: Ireland, as I had signed up but struggled to get started. When I finally got started, I found that the process was very straight forward and staff are on your side and very supportive in leading you through your leads and getting started. An excellent tutoring service provided.

I signed up with First Tutors a couple of months ago and got messages from prospective clients pretty much straight away. It's a really easy system to use, thorough checks are made and you have to supply references. I also like that contact details aren't shared until you've accepted a client and they have paid the release fee. It seems to be a really good system for both tutors and tutees.

I found First Tutors online when looking for someone to show me how to use Microsoft Powerpoint. I must admit I have had a fantastic experience on their website. Very approachable and flexible tutors with whom our daughters studied mainly maths during Years 10 and 11. They always listened to the girls' maths/science anxieties and gave them confidence. Their approach is to teach methods and offer exam practice so our daughters had lots of different types of help. Always happy to go over mock papers they had done in class. They really did make a difference to their grades.

Leesa tutored both my sons for the Kent test, the eldest remotely during a Covid lockdown. They both passed with flying colours. She made sessions fun and motivating, with rewards like sweets or little toys at the end of each session (delivered to our doorstep during lockdown!) and mini competitions between her pupils over a number of sessions for bigger prizes. Tried the ionic bonding quiz which was exactly the right level

A really thorough quiz which considers a variety of science terms and processes as part of the multiple choice, encouraging further learning or checking when the answers are revealed at the end of the test. Accessible, friendly and enjoyable. Just enough questions around the specific topics, enough to not become overbearing or confusing. Although I think that for GCSE, it may need to be a bit more challenging. Maybe there could be challenging levels to select and pass as part of the quizzing. Thank you.

A very good and Well designed website with over 300+ random questions

My child fell behind in school due to poor teaching. This year, she asked me for tutoring support. We tried some nearby tutors with good reputations, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out as they kept changing tutors. Then we found MyTutor online. At first, my child chose a tutor, but unfortunately, that experience wasn’t positive either. Despite this, she didn’t want to give up on tutoring classes. Then, she found Rose. Rose is absolutely lovely. She explains concepts so well that my child is always eagerly waiting for her tutoring sessions.
