Lovely environment, quality food. Not much capacity for larger groups, so you may not be guaranteed a seating on arrival. The food menu is reasonably limited, but what you do get is well presented and quality. Overall a lively calm small business that takes pride in its food and service. Highly recommended. Last of all. There are no off-road parking spaces, so you have to search around nearby for any non yellow lined parking spaces.

I’ve popped in here a few times for brunch or lunch, and the staff are always lovely. Everything is freshly cooked and well-priced. They also have a free little library, and exhibit art from local artists. Highly recommend No 64 for dining in or takeaway. The bacon brunch toastie is God-tier.

The staff in here are wonderful. We came in this afternoon and our cousin (who has learning disabilities) really, really wanted a full English. They had stopped serving breakfast but these lovely ladies kindly made him his favourite!! They treated him with such kindness and respect, and even let him use the staff toilets. Lovely food and great coffee, the New York deli toastie was incredible. Highly recommend! 😁

Googled a coffee shop as I was in the area, this adorable coffee shop came up first so I gave it a try. WOW it’s a gorgeous little venue, with the most amazing cakes and homemade sausage rolls. Staff are very lovely introducing themselves and asking my name when I said I’ll be regular due to being in the area twice a week until February. Sat on the side table working and everyone that came in was on first name terms so are regulars, it was so lovely to see. I’ll be back next week, thank you ladies

Lovely little coffee shop with some of the best brownies I have ever tasted! My go to if I want to give a sweet treat as a gift as they sell them in presentation boxes. Great sandwiches with interesting fillings plus vegan options and oh my word. The sausage rolls. Big thumbs up from me

P: 07484 866299

Rating: 4.9 (168) Price Level:

Nibbles is a fantastic café in a beautiful spot, run by the wonderful Dave and Lindsey. The food is spot on - big, delicious breakfasts and top notch café style foods - overlooking the sports pitch and a few moments from the ‘excellent rated water quality’ river Rother. On the border of Kent and East Sussex, Nibbles is a great place to come with family and friends to enjoy the food and surroundings. Highly recommended.

Came all the way from Belgium and stumbled upon the gorgeous place to have a real English Breakfast. The food is AMAZING, place is cozy and very clean. Had a lovely chat with the owners of the place and gave me some good tips for my further travel inside the UK. I can recommend this place for everyone and bike enthousiast. Ill def come back for this breakfast all the way out of Belgium !!

Lovely lil streetside café, went there for Sunday brunch and managed to make a "pick your own" vegan breakfast with some nice options. Oat and soya milk available, as well as Jimmy's iced coffee with Oat milk. They also get in a vegan cake daily too, had the lemon one and it was DELICIOUS! Well baked and moist. The chef (and possibly the owner) came out and had a couple of chats with us, he seems lovely. We'll be back regularly I suspect.

Went here for breakfast. Dog friendly cafe. Had the 'Hair of the Hound' full English breakfast which was ok. Wife had Gluton Free (GF bread was not good). Fast service and Friendly staff. Recommendations: clean the windows from the cobwebs and flys, not nice when your eating.

A far cry from a truckers café, this local coffee house offers a cosy seating area with a modest menu. The interior is well decorated. There is a standard selection of hot items with a range of cakes that also cater to vegan requirements. Parking is easily found on the road, or it's a walk away for local residents who tend to come here and socialise in small groups. Prices are what you would expect.

We all had a lovely afternoon tea at Baskervilles Coffee House. The traditional tea had a good selection of savoury and sweet treats. The child's tea also had a good selection, having changed the sandwich fillings to known favourites. Our dog certainly enjoyed her afternoon tea too and it was great to be able to give her something designed for her instead of snuffling our sausage rolls. The staff were really happy, polite and chatty. This is a wonderful little coffee shop and a great place to visit if you want to sit with your dog.

Rating: 4.7 (721) Price Level:

This was my first time visiting Cafe Nucleus, and will definitely be the first of many visits! Quick and friendly service, excellent food, and a lovely atmosphere to dine in. What a treasure hidden just off Chatham high street. It’s a dog-friendly place too so if you have dogs, definitely head here. They even have a dog menu (I don’t have a dog myself so can’t provide much insight on that). Kind of pricey, but worth it

What a Gem! Can’t believe I’ve never been here before. They really know how to professionally run a cafe. The service was great, the food was delicious and well priced. We had warm scones, clotted cream and jam with coffees. The oat latte was made perfectly and we can’t wait to come back. They gave us promotional discounts for their Sunday roast and breakfast options. Will return, thank you!

Me and my husband have made a Christmas tradition of coming here for breakfast every year when we buy our tree! It’s been about 5 years and we still love the food and the atmosphere 😊 they always have mismatch crockery and different salt shaker sets on each table and it’s too cute! The service has always been fantastic and you can tell that they use quality, local produce and really fresh bread. If it ever closes down we will be heart broken!

Cafe Riviera

Rating: 4.5 (323) Price Level:

Nice breakfast, I opted for a set breakfast of sausage, two rashers of bacon, chips, beans, toast and a fried egg along with a can of drink for £9.00. Some of the chips were a little overcooked/crunchy but the rest of the breakfast was nice. They operate a loyalty scheme of a free meal once you have collected 8 stamps from paid meals, they have the same offer regarding drinks too. They have customer toilets which were clean and in decent condition. If you found this review helpful please click on the heart icon, thanks.

This was my first time at base camp, we went for the Easter egg hunt which was great fun for the kids. The play park there is superb ! Love the tree house/slide and the sand pit! Visited for the first time for a late lunch. The friendliest 4 ladies serving! Lovey place with lots of different rooms. Tables, comfy armchairs, big sofas and a kids play section with ample toys and books. Food was lovely, felt v homecooked. Had a sausage and onion toastie, steak pie with mash and veg and the kids and spaghetti on toast. All reasonably priced. There’s also a big wooden play ground outside with a tree house. Big free car park at the back of the house just off Hall Road. Will be back!

Fantastic place to stop for coffee and a snack if out walking or mountain bike riding like I was today. Had a flat white - was excellent as was the sausage roll. This will now be my preferred mid ride stop for this route. Blankets available with outside seating so you can enjoy a coffee even on those chillier days. Stopped by again a few days after this review mid ride. Coffee and steak pasty excellent. Really pleasant place to rest for a while by the river. PS be sure to look out for the bold as brass Robin who likes to snack on cake crumbs etc! June 2022 update - seats and chairs upgraded - this place continues to impress!

A favourite place to walk to, have a coffee and chill. It’s a perfect location, friendly staff and high quality food. For such a tiny place they do amazingly well. I’ve introduced many people to this little gem. The dog biscuits are genius. My dog won’t walk past without joining the queue for her biscuit so our furry friends approve too!!

Blue Bell Hill Picnic Site

Common Rd, Rochester ME5 9RG, UK | Park
P: 01622 662012

Rating: 4.6 (598) Price Level:

If you have had enough of the hustle and bustle of city life, come here to escape it all. The air is fresh, the sounds of nature like a concerto of birdsong and breeze and the views are breathtaking. The only things that spoil this wonderful piece of the outdoors are the houses and factories that blight the landscape. Humans ruin everything.

Fabulous views from the picnic site. If you're having a picnic, don't do it on a windy day as your picnic will likely end up in the North Sea/Channel. Walking trails are very uneven so wear proper walking boots. Mixture of trails: downhill/uphill/level. Uphill trails are not suitable for unfit people. Most of the walking trails are mercifully dog-poo free though you still have to be careful not to step into something unpleasant. Also lots of horse manure about (nearby stables). Great walking though on a dry day in spring. Lots of nice wild flowers too.

It's actually really nice here, the view is wonderful and you can walk and explore the landscape for miles! Come early though if you plan to walk far as the Carpark is locked in the evening.

What a view! This hilltop is a hidden gem for sure. Someone told me to come here and visit and I'm definitely not dissapointed. Great views, free parking and nice walking trails to just soak in nature and fresh air. There are quite a few interesting birds doing some aerobatics in the sky that's quite cool. The car park usually closes at 6pm sharp and the wardens are strict with that so be aware. Bring some drinks and food maybe a pair of binoculars and you could have a nice long walk with some great scenery.
