We came here for a family meal on a Sunday lunchtime and really enjoyed the experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming and accommodating to families. The restaurant decor has a charming rustic appeal. We ordered pizzas, and spaghetti with meatballs. The food was delicious, and generous portions and very good value for money. We will definitely go again! Thank you 🙏😊

On Friday night, we actually tried to go to Fino up the road, but they were fully booked up, and they recommended us to come here. So we walked down and gave it a go. On arrival, they had no tables available, but they gave us their word they'd get a table within 5 minutes, and true it was. It was extremely busy. The service was surprisingly quick. I ordered the Mozzarella in Carrozza and the Calzone. (See Pictures) Prior to the food arriving, we were again pleasantly surprised, given complimentary bread, butter, and a tomato based dip that set the mood nicely. The food itself was a decent portion, reasonably priced and tasty! I didn't give it 5 stars because I've had better Calzone's, but it was still decent, and for what you get, you can't go wrong. You could tell this restaurant gets its regular attenders and for a reputation to have that loyal customer base it shows the service and commitment the staff give to make it a great experience 👏 I would recommend giving this place a go, and on the bonus side, it won't burn a hole in your pocket.

Went for a meal here and had a good time. The food choices were wide and varied. Food itself was good. Service was ok. Just had a couple of issues, one being that we got a portion of chips that we didn't order and the waitress said we could have them anyway but we were still charged for them. The fish platter wasn't the best I've had but was ok. The other meals were very tasty though. It was, admittedly very busy, not one table empty.

You can't go wrong with 3 courses for £19.95 where you can get steak as a main! The value for money at rustico always shocks me. The portions are massive, and the food is always delicious 😋 Pictured are their ribeye steak and crab ravioli (from the specials menu), as well as their creamy mushrooms starter and tiramisu dessert 😍 All of the food was amazing, and I definitely left with a full belly 🤣 I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for good authentic Italian food with a rustic feel and a lovely atmosphere. It's a great place for a meet-up with friends, a family vibe, or even a date night! I honestly can't rave enough about this place... Really beautiful food, we came to celebrate a friend's birthday & looking to book again. We used the £20 lunch deal, and it was absolutely amazing value for money! The salad bar was evidently fresh and constantly restocked, the meat came around with really nice waiting staff, who were polite and helpful. My daughter has ARFID & eating out makes it difficult for us, luckily the salad bar had lots of her safe foods on, such as plain rice, crackers, boiled egg and cheese. The staff also put chips on our table and brought more once they had been eaten. I didn't need to mention my daughters food disorder due to how friendly the staff were and how much of it was accessible to her needs. To find somewhere that gives her the opportunity to sit and eat in an actual restaurant with access to a large number or safe foods means the world to us as a family. We will certainly be returning 😊 10/10. *it is also incredibly clean and modern inside, a really beautiful place.

Generally good service with a smile. The various meats available were very good and tasty although the gammon was excessively salty. The salad bar had a very nice selection but the hot choices were lacking. The Sticky Toffee pudding was delicious. A reasonable choice of beers but I expected more South American beers on the list.

We bought a gift voucher 50% off and we eager to try. The salad bar had everything you need, everything was fresh and continuously being topped up. The best bit for me was unlimited peppercorn sauce yummy! The halal meats were good I think only a few options weren't served to us as they weren't halal. My favourite was the garlic steak. Garlic bread was amazing and they even bought chips to the table. Im not too happy with the 10% charge and the charity donation as this wasn't discussed. The hot pineapple was great. I enjoyed and would return. Parking is an issue!

This place came highly recommended, and with good reason. Best onion bahji we've ever had. Best curry too. Reasonably priced, lovely, lovely staff and cool venue. Absolutely spot on. Will be back with the kids next time for the bottomless brunch 😊

Best fish pakora I've ever had. It melted in the mouth. Recommend the bhajis too. It was all truly excellent!

Established in 2016 by husband & wife duo, The Spicy Biker has come from being a mobile pop-up kitchen, that you will see at various food festivals & markets, to opening up their very first restaurant in Nov ’23, based in Wakefield city centre. Serving authentic Indian food from “mum’s kitchen” that’s been given a Spicy Biker twist. I first discovered the delights of the Spicy Biker a few years ago at one of their popups at Suppa Club, Elsecar. In Nov ’23, they opened their very first restaurant in Wakefield City Centre, and myself and 3 of my foodie friends booked a bottomless brunch last October. It was fantastic! For just £35 (As of 1st March 2025, this will change to £40pp) you get a Thali including two curries (I went with the Chicken and the Lentil curries), basmati rice, naan bread, onion bhajis and an extra side of your choice (I went with meat samosas). Not forgetting the drinks, which are bottomless for 90 mins and include Prosecco, house wine, bottles of cobra and various cocktails, pitchers, and alcohol free options. The food was exquisite, and the chef personally brought out an extra curry for us all to share and try (lamb rogan josh), which was so tasty. You get PLENTY of food, but I didn’t find it over-facing. Maybe I am greedy haha! But if it’s a little too much, you can take the rest away. The meal is all presented beautifully, which adds to the experience and we managed about 4/5 drinks each, so a good effort (we had a lot to talk about haha). The bhajis are massive, crisp and freshly made which is fantastic. Indian Food and bottomless drinks HAS to be my all time favourite! Nice food waited a while for it to come. Prices was bit expensive. Loads on offer,only 2 disabled parking spots was full no badges display. Outside huts for if you got dogs which I was impressed with.

An incredible meat feast! I could hardly fault a thing with my meal nor the service. The 'Full House' burger was top tier. A mouthwatering stack of chunky beef patties which had superb flavour, tasty pulled pork and bacon as well as thick wedges of brisket. The brisket was a tad dry in places so a little chewy but had amazing flavour from the smoker. The bun was sweet and nicely buttered but fell apart quite easily and was also a bit dry. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite though. The sweet potato fries were great and the coleslaw was some of best I've ever had. I also had a half rack of BBQ ribs. These were really good value for the amount I got. They were also up close to the best I've ever had. Very little fat and the meat was lean but had a nice crop coating from the grilling. It's not a cheap place to eat but you do get a lot for your money so perfect for a rare treat.

Without doubt the best curry I've ever had was from this place. The staff the chefs and the restaurant is truly amazing very happy

Best tomato and garlic bread pizza to start in the whole world! Love this place ❤️ Could have more vegetarian options but they're very accommodating if you ask to switch meat out.

Excellent experience as always. I come here and to the Horbury restaurant all the time. We had starters, mains, desserts and a couple of cocktails. The quality of food is excellent, especially for the price. The mains came out a reasonable time after the starters. The service was excellent and we weren’t made to feel rushed, which is always nice. I’d highly recommend the mussels for a starter, if you love seafood.

We went for a family celebration meal for my daughter's birthday (midweek on an evening). It's a massive place, nice looking. The atmosphere isn't great when there aren't many people. The food was brilliant. The best steak that I've had outside of America. Service was sometimes good but it took a while for mains to arrive and ages to get the bill even though it was quiet. They then had the cheek to automatically add a 'Service Charge', although, to be fair, they did point this out and removed it but I do hate the fact that these places do this, especially when they don't have excellent service.

Lovely restaurant, staff we're very friendly and attentive. Food was really good just not amazing for the cost, could get better in that price range.

Whilst a little off the beaten path, Tileyard North is a great up and coming venue for 2024. The Yorkshire Brasserie is the crowning glory! A great place for a special bite to eat, in luxurious surroundings both architecturally and decoratively. The meals served are exquisite, fresh masterpieces. The service by the team was exemplary: quick friendly and chatty without over intrusion. Very accommodating to our requirements too. My favourite so far is the Korean BBQ Crispy wrap!

Fantastic Sunday roast - beef served pink, delicious veg and yorkshire pudding all perfectly seasoned and arguably the best sticky toffee pudding I've had in years. The mister had the veggie option, which was a gorgeous mushroom nut roast - it reminded me of a tasty peppery black pudding, but obvs veggie. Yum.

Liv is an absolute gem! She was a brilliant waitress & so friendly and down to earth. Thanks so much liv & great job! The food is brilliant & a great atmosphere. Definitely recommend the mussels, buffalo wings & fish and chips!

A fabulous hidden gem! Having been to the Yorkshire Brasserie for a meal before, we decided to celebrate Mother’s Day here this year. The restaurant is decorated beautifully given a modern, stylish feel, perfect for smart casual outing. As we arrived to the restaurant, we were seated straight away, the staff were really friendly and made sure to cater for us promptly, keeping the busy flow of the restaurant running smoothly. There was a set menu with two courses for £27, or three courses for £33, which I think is a reasonable price for a good restaurant, especially on a Sunday. We opted for two courses, I chose the chicken roast dinner and the vanilla cheesecake. The food came really quickly and was beautifully presented, I really like that this place has an open kitchen too, always good to know that your food is being made to a high standard! The cheesecake tasted absolutely amazing! From start to finish, our experience here was brilliant, it was the perfect choice for a Mother’s Day lunch and I’m sure we will be back again soon!

Great night out at robatary, we went for a family meal and the staff were very friendly and helpful, the service and food was excellent quality, very clean 👌

Robatary has always been a great spot for me and my friends. Unfortunately, the dish I always have had fallen short. The Crispy Chili Chicken with rice was just too salty for me to eat. The other food my friends had was still nice though. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant was till great, a good selection of drinks too. The place was clean and tidy. I will be back, but I hope the food is less salty!

We frequent the castle a lot as it’s close by, dog friendly and has a great atmosphere. We are also always met with amazing customer service where the staff remember our dog and even our new baby. The food today was even better than usual, we were blown away. The truffle cheese donuts and steak sandwich were the highlights, although the squid and chicken starters were also amazing. Big thanks to Jess and Lucy in the kitchen as it truly was amazing today! Overall, the dining experience at The Castle Pub was exceptional. The dedication and skill of Jess and Lucy were evident in every dish, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking delicious, well-crafted food. Whether you're stopping by for a casual meal or a special occasion, The Castle Pub is sure to impress with its fantastic offerings.

Just been for a last minute meal at The Castle before our gig tonight and the food and service was excellent. Sam and Grant were very polite and accommodating, the atmosphere was peaceful and the decor was lovely.

Fantastic Sunday roast. Everyone enjoyed, Yorkshire puddings huge and gravy was great. Belly pork was tasty - if on the small side but the chicken was fantastic! Has vegan options as well which is handy. Staff were very friendly and spot on. Ella and Alicia were fantastic. Would recommend and will go again!

An excellent place for enjoying delicious food and drinks. The vibe is lively and fun, making it a great spot for gatherings. The staff is always very polite and friendly, which makes the experience even better. I tried several tapas, and they were all absolutely delicious. Having ignored this place for a few years for no particular reason I finally gave the place a try on my latest visit home. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. In the space of a week I came here four times, for drinks and food.A Cuban themed restaurant and bar looking very smart and hitting way above anything else Wakefield has to offer. The drinks, of which I had several margaritas over the different visits, were the best in Wakefield. The food was absolutely gorgeous (great choice of varied dishes). Service was friendly, helpful and professional. Prices were very reasonable considering the quality. I imagine at peak times the place would get very busy so for meals it might be best to book in advance. They also have a terrace bar and also a private dining room in the old vault which doesn't cost any extra but booking advised. They also have live music in the evenings occasionally.I really can't fault this place, it really is one of the best restaurant/bars in Wakefield. Fourth visit... Everything still amazing apart from the margarita I had, not sure the bar person knew how to make it, another member of staff gave her a quick run through but it didn't taste the greatest and the presentation wasn't as good as previous visits. No doubt I'll be back to try again in the future. Fingers crossed. Fifth visit... Food still amazing, service still brilliant (lady with piercings, she was amazing, friendly, helpful and welcoming),the manager still makes a great margarita. Cheers.

Great service and absolutely amazing food, really friendly waiting staff. We had the charcuterie board and bread platter as a starter and there was so much on it! So many different flavours. The Jambalaya packed with seafood. The churros sooo tasty and fresh. It was a really pleasurable experience. Thank you Qubana!!
