What a find! A treat for people from Karachi and everyone else who wants to experience real flavours of Karachi food! Ordered bun kabab, masala chips, karachi biryani, chana chaat, lemonade and karak chai.. everything was on point! Bun kabab was out of this world 10/10!! Will surely be coming back to try new dishes! If you want spicy biryani, please do ask while ordering. Definitely a strong recommendation to visit! Lovely ambiance and welcoming staff. Preet was a wonderful host š«¶š¼

Greeted by a friendly manager, whilst we were ordering, they brought a complimentary poppadom tray. The shop was clean and tidy. Ordered the chicken karahi, lamb karahi, and the chef's special chicken biryani. The food was cooked to perfection š a good balance of spice in the karahis, I especially enjoyed the chicken karahi, made to medium/apna style spice as requested. Will definitely come again š

Chicken Wings (Sweet and Spicy) Sindhi Biryani Mutton Nihari Haleem Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, accompanied by the tantalising aroma of authentic spices wafting through the air. The ambience instantly transported us to the bustling streets of Pakistan, setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience. For starters, we indulged in the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings. Cooked to absolute perfection, they were beautifully tender and practically melted in the mouth. The balance of sweetness and spice was spot on, leaving us wanting more. Next came the Sindhi Biryani, one of the restaurant's signature dishes. The flavour profile was nothing short of incredible ā rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced. Each mouthful was a burst of authentic taste, so much so that it felt as though we were dining in Karachi rather than Leeds. Following that, we sampled the Haleem, which was nothing short of spectacular. The texture was smooth and hearty, and the flavours were robust and deeply satisfying. Itās easily one of the best versions of Haleem Iāve ever had outside of Pakistan ā a true delight for the taste buds. Finally, we were served the Mutton Nihari. The meat was tender beyond words, practically disintegrating with each bite, while the luscious gravy was a symphony of spices that filled the mouth with warmth and flavour. It instantly transported me back to my last visit to Karachi, evoking fond memories of traditional dining experiences there. Each dish exceeded expectations, and the authenticity of the flavours was a testament to the skill and dedication of the chefs. A must-visit for anyone craving a genuine taste of Pakistan!

Last week, my family and I traveled to Leeds for a business meeting, and we decided to explore the city afterward. As it was my first time in Leeds, we were on the lookout for a desi restaurant, and that's when we came across Mr. Shapatar. The name immediately caught our attention, as it's a popular slang word from the streets of Karachi, where we are from. Curious about the connection, we decided to give it a try. To our delight, it was their opening day, and they were offering a 50% discount. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and the ambiance was perfect. We were thrilled to find Karachiās authentic Aloo Biryani on the menu, which reminded me of the famous Burns Road Biryani. The Nihari was also spot on, just like the traditional Karachi Nihari. We ordered Biryani, Nihari, and Haleem, although there were many other options, we couldn't resist the authentic Karachi dishes. The freshly made naan served alongside the dishes added to the experience. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Mr. Nabeil, a very down-to-earth person and a chartered accountant by profession. It was wonderful to chat with him and learn about his vision for the restaurant. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience, and I highly recommend Mr. Shapatar to anyone visiting Leeds. If you're craving authentic Karachi food, this place is a must-try!

Rating: 4.7 (3076) Price Level:
Meat Chop Masala, Boiled Rice and Naan Bread - Delicious! I forgot to take a photo as the food smelt so good, hence the empty plate. You can taste the combinations of spices wrapped around the delicious chops. A thick and flavourful sauce. I will most definitely be ordering from Shimlas again.
Rating: 5 / 5
Clean and fresh! The food was spot on as usual at Shimlas, portions are generous and pricing is fair. Canāt complain and consistent across all the shimlas. Fried fish was beautiful, the dynamite chicken sauce was spot on, with the crispy chicken batter. Naan was fresh and fluffy with fresh chicken donner!

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a modern ambiance that feels both moderen and invitingāa perfect backdrop for whatās about to unfold. Now, letās talk about the food! we had the Tattu signatures, Each dish was a delightful adventure, bursting with flavors that were both tasty and intriguingly unique. Itās like the chef took a trip around the china and brought back the best souvenirs to our plates. Every bite was a celebration of creativity and skill! And speaking of celebrations, our server David was the ultimate party host! With a smile that could light up the room and a wealth of knowledge about the menu, he made our dining experience not just enjoyable but also informative. His attentiveness ensured we never felt neglected, making us feel like VIPs at a culinary gala. In short, Tattu Leeds is a feast for the sensesādelicious food, a stunning atmosphere, and top-notch service. If you're in the mood for a meal thatās as fun as it is flavorful, donāt miss out on this gem!

My wife and I had the most wonderful experience at Tattu, between waiting for trains. We were served by Amber, who was attentive, diligent, warm and courteous. Any establishment is lucky to have her. She recommended the perfect amount of dishes and pairings for us both and guided us through the menu. As halal diners, the menu provides plenty of appropriate options - a stand out dish has to be the mushroom spring rolls. A must go for Leeds foodies.

The drinks are very expensive. The food was absolutely amazing & definitely worth it with 40% off. We had the Ā£90 per head set menu & in all honesty there was too much food. Our dessert was changed as theyād run out of sticky toffee which is a bit disappointing given we dined at 5pm. Also we were given the same cutlery for each wave, which personally Iād have preferred new. Our waiter was great, explaining everything & was really knowledgable & friendly. Would definitely return while they have offers on or for a special occasion but probably not affordable for a general visit

āWe recently visited Tattu in Leeds to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, we were taken in by the beautiful, calming ambiance, and the team made us feel incredibly welcomed. Tom, our server, was exceptionally helpfulāwhen he realized it was our first time at Tattu, he went above and beyond, guiding us through the menu, explaining the dishes in detail, and making thoughtful recommendations. Thanks to him, we felt confident in trying new things and loved every bit of it! The entire experience was seamless, and Tattu truly made our special day even more memorable. Unfortunately, we couldnāt find Tom on the floor as we were leaving, so Iād like to use this chance to thank him again here. Tom is an absolute asset to your team! Thank you, Tattu, for a wonderful evening!ā

Visited for the first time last Saturday. The decor inside is amazing, really beautiful place. We had booked a table online, however we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. I understand waiting 5-10 minutes, but 30 minutes was longer than expected. However on the plus side, we did manage to get a drink from the bar, which was really good. Bar staff have an excellent knowledge of drinks. We settled for the signature set menu. It was absolutely incredible, the tastes and flavours were superb. We were left to enjoy the food and felt that we were given enough time to enjoy the experience. I had ask the staff a couple times for a fork to use, however this never arrived but with it being a busy Saturday I understand things get forgotten. My partner and I really enjoyed the experience, we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Three's A Crowd | Leeds
76-78 North St, Leeds LS2 7PN, UK | Pub P: 0113 295 6060
Rating: 4.5 (1132) Price Level:
In October we had our wedding reception at Three's a crowd Leeds. Straightway we had a great feeling about the place when we were looking for potential venues. Ahead of the big day all the staff were extremely welcoming towards us and our small children. Although we had a small wedding (20 guests) we had some quite specific requests for the day and they were really flexible with amending the menu and shaping the day around us. The wedding day went really smoothly; the food and the service was first class. This was down to great management by Scott and Darcy and plenty of reassurance from Sabrina, the events manager ahead of the day. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!
Rating: 5 / 5
Fantastic service paired with great food and a creative drinks menu. Fresh ingredients and a rotating seasonal menu offer modern British dining in a rustic industrial conversion. Chef Andrew runs a tight kitchen and was kind enough to let us take some of their homemade fruit jam away with us. Strong recommend if you're in the area.

Absolutely superb! Came for a quiet celebration meal and was not disappointed. Our server (Charlotte) was very attentive. The food was excellent (steak was little on the rare side of medium rare but that's how I like it). Pudding was nice and light after a very hearty meal. The cocktails were all delicious - excellent recommendation from Charlotte. We will be back!

Outstanding place we are lucky to have to have such an amazing place in our city. I can't get over the beautiful building and how nice it is that it has been so beautifully restored. Came at lunch time today, the service was brilliant! Very attentive and professional yet friendly staff. The lady on the door with brown hair hosting who showed us to our table was super friendly. The food is amazing- I knew this place is good as I've heard a lot of good things about it from a few people. But it exceeded my expectations. The younger staff on the door on the way out seemed to be chatting amongst themselves and I didn't get a bye but that is me being ridiculously picky. Thankyou and can't wait to come back!

This was my first visit to the cut and craft Leeds i have visited the one in York a few time and loved York. The Leeds one did not disappoint at all was very nice the inside is very up market and posh which is what we wanted for our special occasion, The food was amazing and so was the service. My only pit was the kids menu we went at lunch time with our boy who loves the side dish of Yorkshire pudding gravy and roast potatoes, which he as when we visit York and was looking forward to this hear but sadly this was not on the menu. Lucky for us the chips and gray came to the rescue. The adults in our party enjoyed the meals and as expected. the whole experience is very good. I even had to buy one of the beer packs to take home as i love the big beer glasses you have.

Wow! What a stunning interior, the place is beautiful and there's a great atmosphere in the restaurant. I'd heard a great deal about the restaurant before making our 1st trip. We walked in off the street around 6pm with no booking. Escorted upstairs to an empty floor, we were a bit dubois that we may have a bit of a quiet one?! It was Wednesday evening after all, but no.....within 60 mins the place was heaving. Our service was excellent, very attentive and professional. I did expect a slightly larger menu choice but this is certainly not a negative against that. However, I'm convinced I fell on a bad day. My rib eye was pretty bad, extremely sinuey and very very chewy, definitely a poor cut. The rest of the meal was great and we would go again but I'd expect the chef to inspect the quality of steaks before cooking. I probably only ended up eating half of my rib eye due to it being non edible. Don't let this put anyone off, I'm sure it's a 1 off as the restaurant does have an avid following!

We ordered Dal-Bati for our Christmas party and it was amazing. According to taste and flavour itās pure authentic Indian taste. We all enjoyed that food. Highly Recommend that food for Catering because they give good service as well.. Thank you.

Food is great! They run this from another business called M's Burger. I have been running around to find the location according to the address they provided on Google. I had to call few times and they provided another address. It is vegetarian food but as they run SATVIK FOOD business along side another business M's burger, which cooks non-veg food, SATVIK FOOD won't count as pure vegetarian. However, the food was amazing! Hope you find a place soon to run your own PURE VEGETARIAN restaurant. Good luck.

I recently ordered dabeli and vada pav from Satvik, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The flavors were authentic and took me straight back to the streets of Gujarat. The dabeli was perfectly spiced, with a delightful balance of spice and tanginess, while the vada pav had just the right amount of spice. The ingredients were fresh, and the taste was absolutely spot-on. If you're craving genuine, flavorful Indian street food, this is the place to go. Highly recommended, and Iāll definitely be ordering again!

Amazing good with such outstanding flavours. Creative presentation. Very professional way pf managing a very busy restaurant without fuss or delay but with complete calm. We were pressured unto buying an additional rice as the waitress thought we needed it and didn't listen to us but we didn't let it spoil the Amazing meal. We will definitely return next time we are in Leeds and would recommend this experience to anyone who loves good food

While I was living in Leeds this place helped me to give the feeling of being in India. The place is very close to the city centre. Not very far from the market place. Remember to reserve early. Or else you might need to wait for more than 45 mins. Especially in the weekends and any occasions. I haven't seen any Indian restaurant filled with so many foreigners having typical Indian food. I was really amazed. Twice I went with my foreign friends and they really liked it very much. The south Indian food is simply great. The Keralian fish was awesome cooked with coconut. Also you can get alcohol as well. The price was around 40 gbp for two people and that was in 2020. The behaviour of the staffs were really nice and didn't have to wait too long after we ordered the food. The ambience is so Indian. In the upstair there's enough space but personally I prefer the downstair. If a fan of Indian cricket then can see the memories of Virat and Ganguly inside the restaurant. Both of them came here during the 2019 ODI World Cup. Every taste was very authentic and has pleasant Keralian taste. The aroma of food made me think as if I was in Kerala. During busy times you might need to rush or else take time , chat and enjoy the food. Thanks for making my time in Leeds a very special one. I still miss the food from the superb restaurant. Cheers!

What a gem of a place. Weāve been visiting Tharavadu for a number of years now. Itās been a while since our last visit due to circumstance but we managed to get there on Saturday afternoon with some friends for a long overdue catch up. My word, we were NOT disappointed! The menu since COVID has been reduced but that is certainly not a bad thing. I feel the team have concentrated on their core dishes and have made the menu so āunderstandableā. Better descriptions of food therefore making it easier to select the right dish and accompaniment . The food was absolutely amazing and I canāt wait to go back. i can wholly recommend the king prawns to start and the fish stew as a main, just superb. As always the service was excellent. Thank you Team Tharavadu for another wonderful and memorable meal xx

Tamanna provided an exceptional experience while welcoming and serving a guest. Despite being younger, her knowledge was impressive for her age. She was attentive, well-groomed, and easy to approach. In the restaurant, she explained each dish in detail, showcasing her expertise and making the dining experience enjoyable.

House of Koko - Chapel Allerton

Rating: 4.6 (657) Price Level:
First time today with my daughter. I must say the food truly exceeded my expectation. It was very busy at the time and we were told to wait outside with the outdoor heating on. We were given a table inside fairly quickly. Not many cafes would do Turkish eggs and Iāve tried this at 3 different cafes and by far House of Koko is by far the best. The bread came with it was thick and fluffy. Weāll definitely be back again!

Popped in for coffee, while I waited for my wife to have her eye operation, but ended up having a very nice breakfast indeed - it's not very often I'm in this neck of the woods living out York way, but with the wife going in for eye surgery at a local hospital and a wait of a couple of hours, no point in travel back home to turn round an come straight back. Thats why the coffee hunt, so glad I did - good strong coffee with a very nice eggs royale, on an english muffin. Spot on and service was excellent

We visited on the day they were releasing their new menu and the food was absolutely unreal. So beautiful and so tasty. They have nailed it! I had the smashed peas. Everyone working was so lovely and one of the chefs even came out to deliver a sauce and explained what was in it and a bit about the food. Can tell they were excited about the new menu and for good reason. Canāt recommend it enough.

Great restaurant/ bar with a wide range of authentic carribean dishes. The customer service is always friendly and the food and drinks are well priced.

Cute place. Seemed like it's a family run business and is frequented by family and friends of the owners which was nice. We ordered the jerk chicken and fried plantain & aubergine meals. I really loved the fried dumplings and the fried plantain, however we were a little disappointed overall as we thought there would be more flavour, but maybe we're used to westernised Caribbean food? Anyway for the price (5-6 pounds a plate) we were still very happy and we even got an extra side of salad that we weren't expecting. We also loved the Caribbean music playing here. We were head bobbing & toe tapping the whole time we were in there.
