Had a lovely afternoon Attending a Christening celebration party . Venue was comfortable for a large gathering. The Buffett served a good variety of food and constantly re filled when empty. Staff were friendly, I can highly recommend this pub.

Our annual visit to the Cinque Ports collided with a fantastic summer festival which included an upcoming band and our new favourites: mixed emotions! Incredible turn out for a really talented band. I can tell you now, this band will never forget this pub! Even when they’re performing at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds!

Had a couple of drinks romney ale was fabulous! Lovely lady behind the bar and very pleasant locals. Top marks we will return

Great pub, great staff, great food and great punters! Spent three days in New Romney recently and the Cinque quickly became our go to pub. Talk about a warm, welcoming pub! Simply cannot fault the place. Don't miss out on their rustic chips either (much better than French fries). Cheapest pub in the hight street too! Cannot recommend this pub highly enough. A real gem. Open also evening. The owner and her daughters are lovely people. From Cyprus with love and simplicity. Fantastic the greek yogurt with honey and nuts. Perfect for an afternoon tea after a long walk on the beach! The owner shared a bit of the restaurant history. Worth a visit. We visited twice in a day! The fish is from the local dungeness fishermen! Very fresh. We have to come back! ⛱️

We went to the restaurant for lunch. 7 of us with 5 children. A lovely family runs business. People are very friendly. Food is delicious. Everyone is happy with their orders. Certainly recommend it

What a lovely, family owned Greek restaurant. From the outside it looks much smaller, but inside the restaurant, they have a lot of space. The food is fresh and homemade and it tastes really good. Once your in, you will also be entertained by , I believe, 3 generations of ladies, grandchild, mother and grandma, which definitly adds to the fun night we had. Whenever we are back in this area, we'll be back! Thank you very much!!

Great family run pub with a good selection of beers and wine

The pub is spotless from the minute you walk through the door. Beer is really well priced. Has beer garden, darts board and pool table all in good nick. They also show live sky sports

I recently visited the Royal Oak in Lydd and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The pub had a great atmosphere, with a pool table for entertainment and live bands every Saturday night. The jukebox had a great selection of music and the drinks menu was top-notch. They had London Pride as the only real ale, but they also had a great selection of low-calorie lagers and zero alcohol options. I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the toilets, which had contactless soap, tap and dryer. The open log burning fire made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. The bar also serves food and the selection of crisps was great. They also show football matches. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at the Royal Oak and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great selection of drinks, entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere.

We were staying next door and Coach House immediately felt like an extension of our cottage! Very friendly husband and wife team, great Greek influenced food (my chicken salad was fantastic), family friendly. Also good breakfast options, we had coffee and cake and just regret not being able to try more options!

My partner and I ate here as we wanted to grab a bit to eat whilst enjoying the sun and we were both stunned by the food. The chef has got his flavours absolutely nailed, everything tasted amazing and the dishes were the type that you’d expect at a high end restaurant. This being said, the prices were still very affordable and the portion sizes are generous - so much so that I walked in quite hungry and still couldn’t finish my plate. The only criticism I have is that we waited upwards of 20 minutes for our food, but I’m more than happy to look past this as it was very busy, the food was well worth the wait, and the staff were attentive and checked on us regularly. If you’re Kent based and haven’t checked this hidden gem out, please do!

The Coach House in New Romney has consistently exceeded our expectations, earning the title of the best dining spot in town by a long shot! From farm-fresh produce to succulent meats, each bite is a testament to the Freds commitment to excellence. It's disheartening to see recent reviews that fail to recognize the value of this small, local gem. These criticisms seem unjustified and out of touch with the realities of running a business like The Coach House. Perhaps these individuals would be better suited to the food and environment offered in a less classy establishment, but for those who appreciate genuine culinary craftsmanship, The Coach House is a true find. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Fred and Hazel for their tireless dedication to delivering exceptional food. Their commitment to quality and passion for food shines through in every dish, making The Coach House a must-visit destination for anyone with an appreciation for fine cuisine. Fabulous place for lunch! The Spartan burger is awesome! The millionaire biscoff cake is delicious, we were 6 hungry cyclists who left full up and happy! We will be coming back, super quick service too

Stopped for a couple of drinks on a sunny Saturday afternoon & ended up staying! Really good live singer in the garden. Owners & staff so friendly & welcoming. Was allowed to park our camper there overnight so drank some more & had some food which with really amazing. Looking forward to going back there soon. Highly recommend as just an all round lovely place. Beach opposite is beautiful.

2022 Friendly local pub. No ale on draught but got some in bottles 2023 update, Ubu pure on tap, a solid 3.5 out of 5, high praise from me! Quiet this late in the season on a Thursday at 13:00h, the owner is friendly though and the kitchen is open nonetheless. Busier Thursday Friday and Saturday nights with special events such as Halloween fancy dress (see their Facebook page ;-) ). 2024 update, came for a wee drink with my Mum. Lovely jubbly.

A beautiful example of what pubs used to be in the best way - friendly staff, honest food, and decor that gave me a flashback to my childhood. This is the opposite from a gastropub. We came for Sunday lunch without a booking and they fitted us in. The food was tasty, was it the most amazing Sunday roast I’ve ever eaten? Maybe not (however the roast potatoes were simply amazing), but it was a decent, tasty carvery with good meat and staff who obviously cared about food and making their customers happy. Strongly recommended for the experience and atmosphere.

We were blown away by the size and quality of the food, they had a band playing called the golden wonders who were incredible!! We were also allowed to stay in the car park :) thank you ☺️

We ordered a delivery as staying nearby in Dungeness. The order arrived on time and was absolutely delicious. Poppodoms were crisp and the accompaniments were particularly nice. Lamb Sagwala was fabulous Highly recommended by the 6 of us, and less than £20 each

Our favourite Indian and we live in Medway. We travel there especially for banquet night. Beautiful food, very friendly staff, good value. Love it

What a great restaurant. We were on holiday at Romney Meadows and fancied a curry and the nearest Indian restaurant is Guljar Tandoori, so that's where we headed, we're so glad we did. Excellent food. Attentive service. Friendly staff. Clean and very pleasant room. Very accommodating if you have young children with you. Definitely a place to eat in if you're visiting the New Romney, Lydd, Dungeness area. Their paneer is excellent as is their Tandoori king prawn massala. I don't usually post photos of myself but today is the exception as our hosts were so good.

Had a great medium cod and chips yesterday. Take away only ! No sit in. After being out of the UK for many years, my first port of call was the local chippie. It did not disappoint. Great cod, nice batter, and nice thick chips. Thanks a lot for putting a smile on my face after missing the f&c for so long.

A great fish and chips. Since taking over the quality is great with a good range of options available to suit most taste buds. The staff were friendly and it didn't take long to take the order and prepare the good. Our meals tasted nice and fresh. Good value for money too.

We had great food today. Lovely crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside chips. Crispy batter and perfectly cooked fish. It was a large order of 14 meals and it was all cooked on time ready for collection. Decent sized portions too. Thank you.

Lovely service, delicious food at a fair price. Their Beef in Black Bean is delicious. I have had a number of orders from them before I gave this review and I can quite honestly say that their food quality and flavours are fantastic. Definitely worth giving them a try.

Excellent food at a fair price. Even though they were busy, our order was ready in good time. What a treat. We love our Chinese food, and Go Sing didn't disappoint. Please support this little gem of a restaurant. It is so worth it.

Great food from here 3rd time been there

Really lovely takeaway most seaside Chineses are not that good but we are impressed by this one. Only one thing make sure you check your order as we ordered beef in black bean sause and got chicken which was still nice.

Was away for a couple of days and fancied fish and chips, driving along and came across this place, great fish crisp thin batter and great chips as well loads there, if down that way again we're definatly go back.... thankyou

Probably one of the best fish and chips I’ve had. We bought four portions. All of the fish were of good size and the chips was just the right amount! Some places over do it with the chips. Fish tasted fresh and the chips were great and crispy! Batter on the fish was crunchy and not too much either! 2 minute walk from sandy beach so you can grab and go as well or sit there.

Popped into this chip shop one lunch time as we were passing, we only had chips but they were fantastic, moving to the area very soon so this could become our local shop..

Food was cooked fresh and still hot by time I got back to my holiday home. Had battered jumbo sausage with regular chips. Amazing food and prices. Highly recommend
